Hi everyone, I am using prestashop 1.7.5. Today I purchased and downloaded a new theme. I now want to apply it but cannot. For some reason when I scroll down to "select a theme" I can see my new theme uploaded (v1_electron), but you cannot click on it or do anything with it...(see screenshot attached). Am I missing something really obvious? I don't understand why it is this way, as in online tutorials people were able to change it through here. Many thanks

how does the email folder work of a new installed themes?

Hi, I installed a new themes, how does the email folder work? I noticed that the emails that arrive when placing an order are those of the PS 1.7 core. Can it be deduced that each new install of the new theme takes the core emails and imports them into the new theme root folder? I had customized the emails of the previously used theme, is it enough that I overwrite the email folder in the root of the new theme with the old one? Thanks for any reply. Balla -
Hi, I have one problem that I've been working on for hours and can't figure out how to solve it. Here is the problem: - the customer add a product to the cart - then he goes to the cart summary page when the customer change the number of one of the products in the list, ajax update everything except the total price. Please see the attachment for reference. However i copied the complete theme from hosting server and tried on my Localhost and its running fine there .... is any extension required on hosting server for this to work or anything else...Please help My PS version is 1.4.8.2 Thanks !

Hello, Is there a way to use the form helper with the "new-theme" I have an extra product tab (displayAdminProductsExtra) and I want to drop some fields but I'm facing some difficulties First, it doesn't find the form.tpl template I added the default theme folder as a template directory to smarty but that didn't help since some css is needed to properly display the fields So the form helper works fine on the configuration page of the module but not on the product page Any hint is appreciated I don't want to work with html, the helper is much cleaner and more maintainable Cheers -
Hi! I am trying to install a new theme in my webshop but it doesnt work. I go to theme and click "Add new theme" and chose a zip-file on my comp ( a new theme I bought online) And I get no errors, just a return to the same screen again. What can be wrong? Is it the import module or the new theme or something else? And how can I discover what is wrong? I have enabled error handling but there is no error message popping up. I am using PS 1.6.1.2. And I had problems copying the default theme before... can there be something wrong with the theme-module? BR Jörgen

Hi Guys, I have uploaded a new theme. When I add categories to the Top Horizontal Menu the categories are displayed at centre of the top banner vertically listed over the top of the banner. I have checked everything I am aware of but now is beyond my knowledge. See my front page: www.ryskel.com Any Ideas would help. -
Hello, Im looking the best way to center the logo in the new responsive theme. Could you help me?.. The idea is to center the logo between the search bar and the cart, with only CSS if possible to avoid damaging the mobile styles. Thanks!! Jose V.

Hi,, I want to install a theme into my local host. but i can´t. what i did ? well- 1st. i make a copy my default theme and rename to mytheme . make it zip , and then from admin panel .-> preference-> theme->import theme-> and then add my new zip file.. and next save- But this return me _ : Bad configuration file , error. Then i did a same thing for a Free theme. which i downloaded from google.. but i have same error ** Please , anyone have insigts? Thanks -
I have installed prestashop and created anew theme. i have created new styles such as: #page { width:100%!important; max-width:1000px!important; margin:auto!important;background: #fff; box-shadow: 0px 0px 13px rgba(0,0,0,0.3) ; -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 13px rgba(0,0,0,0.3) ; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 13px rgba(0,0,0,0.3) ; -o-box-shadow: 0px 0px 13px rgba(0,0,0,0.3) ; } body{ background: url(../img/body.png) repeat 0 0 fixed!important; } These changes are not reflected on front end of site. On local host however the changes are applied. What could be wrong? Thanks. -
Shall i make the HTML5/CSS3 template ready before i start working on theme? OR Is it same like i do in opencart, directly start modifying the CSS file and you are done. I am a newbie in prestashop i have made couple of opencart themes. I have gone through some tutorial posts. And i think can come up with what i want, just this question pop-ed up in mind so i came here to clarify. Thanx in advance. -

Hello! I have bought and downloaded a new theme from prestashop-addons, and I cannot import it to my prestashop via theme installer. I took the file that I downloaded and put it into "import from computer" section, then when I click next it redirects me to new page which says : SAFARI CANT OPEN PAGE, ..., THE ERROR IS : 'THE OPERATION COULDN'T BE COMPLETED. IS A DIRECTORY' (NSPOSIXE ERROR DOMAIN: 21) Please help

Hi, I am new to prestashop, its a realy great product dough! im creating a sings column webshop. and i want the "viewed product" module in the center column (i disabled the left and right column in "live edit" mode). When i want to drag the module the a red rectangle appears. wicht files do i have to modify to realise what i want. See picture!! Thanks

Hi guys, I was trying to install the free theme on prestashop.com (this one http://addons.prestashop.com/en/neutral/3337-prestashop-template-15.html) but when I choose this theme in administration, and then try to go in Front office, I always get 500 error on my google chrome... Do you know, what could be the main cause ? I tried to make new .htaccess file, but it was just a try and I dont even know what I've done.... Cheers

Hi all, I'm wanting to find out what the first steps are to editing/ creating a new prestashop theme. The designer's guide basically states: Open the global.css file and change it according to your needs. This is where you are only limited by your creativity – and your knowledge of CSS. I understand that I need to edit that CSS file but what if I want to change positions of modules and edit those modules via CSS? How would I do that? I'm looking to create a theme that is completely different from the standard theme, in layout, functionality, modules and design. Only editing the standard theme is not very attractive for someone who has created his own design in PS already. I feel a bit lost..... Thanks for letting know! Cheers -

Hi all, This seems to have been picked up in the Francophone and Spanish forums, and on Forge. With the new Prestashop blank theme, and therefore I'm guessing on 1.4.5, jqzoom displays no image. It has to be disabled. So instead Thickbox must be used. Can we please get this attended to please Prestashop team? Really need this working pronto. Thanks -
Hi, there's a bug in the new theme with the block category displayed in left or right column. As a matter of fact, where there are multi levels categories, the dynamic tree doesn't work. It's due to a css problem. Solution in the attached file which has to be put in the THEMES/YOUR_THEME/css/modules/blockcategories/ Bye blockcategories.css- 10 replies
