FASE 3: Importazione del file CSV in Prestashop Entra in back office, vai in: Strumenti > Importa.

  3. Hello We have a store running 1.6.1.23 and we used to update prices by importing a CSV that consisted only of the fields "reference #" and "price tax excluded". (ignoring all other fields, using reference # as identifier) Now we changed the shop to a multistore system (two shops, 1+2) and have some products in each shop, others in both shops. If I try to import the CSV with the new prices, it only updates the prices in the table "ps_product". BUT: the prices in the table "ps_product_shop" are not updated this way... I guess, now with multistore when importing the CSV, we have to specify the field "ID / name of shop" also, am I right? But what needs to be in this field if a product is used in both shops? Am I correct that the field "ID / name of shop" should be either: 1 - if the product is only in shop 1 2 - if the product is only in shop 2 1,2 - if the product is used in both shops? Thanks for your help.

For example, I have fields called (Color Name) and I do not have in prestashop such a thing. 1. How can I create those "fields" that are not in the "AVAILABLE FIELDS" 2. There is a plugin that can import automatically from a .CSV or .XLS file. Only these are available, how can I add a field AVAILABLE FIELDS ID Active (0/1) Name Categories (x,y,z...) 6. Hello. I have a CSV file from another platfom where I have all products descriptions and combination for a sticker website. The main problem is to import the combinations available for each product being many. I have about 20 colors, 12-15 sizes and for each size the price changes. How could I convert the csv file to make it compatible with prestashop? Here is an example for 1 product (this is only the attribute row that cause me problems), where all attribute are made in a single row/line (and prices are specified in brackets "[]" ). All combinations possible are available. Hi We have created a new video on "How to Import Products and Categories via CSV File. https://youtu.be/p8bvqL5QpIQ This should get you started on importing via the Prestashop's CSV administration dashboard, and we explain some of the CSV fields and what they do. Plus a few hints and tips on importing successfully without errors. Enjoy.. Nick
  8. PrestaShop™ 1.5.4.1 I have been struggling with Prestashop Import categories for 2 days now (bank Holiday weekend no one around). Getting nowhere. About ready to give up on Prestashop. Nice script but just importing categories has been a nightmare, and we haven't started on 3000 products yet I have about 250 Categoories and subcategories to import. There is no sample query "Import categories AND SUBCATEGORIES" This makes things difficult because you have to try to imagine what the Prestashop designers were thinking I have downloaded the sample query "Import categories" and deleted the existing MAIN categories (there are no SUB CATEGORIES) that came with the sample data PrestaShop™ 1.5.4.1 and I was able to re-import those OK. I have checked around the web and Youtube for instruction but this subject is very skipped over and is not in any detail anywhere. I found a dutch site here and tried to recreate what he suggested http://www.howtomake...ories_excel.jpg But when I downloaded the sample file it does not look anything like the clean and tidy file above A1 = 9 columns together in the A1 field/Column: id;Active (0/1);Name*;Parent Category;Description;Meta-title;Meta-keywords;Meta-description;URL rewritten;Image URL B2 Another couple of fields C3 Part of another field Not easy to recreate that over 250 Categories and sub Categories I must be missing something. Can anyone point me in the right direction. A video or detailed text instruction. Thanks in advance Best regards Jeff
  9. I was wondering if it is possible to Import an entire category with products, directly from SQL database file, to maybe a csv file or something.. I need this because i wasn`t able to install locally a previous shop that i only have the backup zip files.. its a category with 250 products, images, prices, descriptions, and keywords.. it can save me 2 weeks of hard work doing it all over again.. Thanks for your insights!
  10. Hello, I want to make a script for importing products from external xml file, but I havve a confusion. On product name for example, you can enter max 128 characters. If you enter more than 128 characters, prestashop gives error and the product is not save. My products from xml file have more than 128 characters on product name. Same think on product short description, meta tags, etc... How can i import these products? I have some 10000 products in xml. Thank you.
  11. Hello everyone! In my opinion the safest way to minor upgrade from previous version is to make database dumb and merge it to fresh installed new Prestashop. As follows the question: Is there any differense in database structure between 1.6.0.9 and 1.6.0.11 for: - Products - Categories - Carriers - Prestashop settings and other tables? Did anyone had experiense successful upgrading by merging database or Autoupgrade module?
  12. I am in need of a module or CSV document that will allow me to upload products. Is there a CSV file that can do this (with explanations on how to use)? or a module that allows you to input everything? I'm using PS 1.5.4.1. and my product section is relatively simple, although I have an extra information section for products called "multiple tabs for products." I'm looking for something that would allow me to at least create the information section, prices, SEO, Associations, Shipping, images, attachments and multiple tabs for products. I can go back and fill out the rest if I need to. Does anyone know of a module that can handle this or have a CSV file that I can upload? I'm new to this and looking for what people think will work best... THANK YOU!
  13. Hi All I recently upgraded a 1.5 site to 1.6.0.9 I did the upgrade in a test environment and had replicated the database beforehand. After making changes to the layout and testing, I moved the test site to public_html and went live. All was good but it turns out the client neglected to tell me they had added some products to the orginal database just before I did the upgrade, so now of course they are missing. As the 1.5 site's database structure is different, I replicated the original site and database in a test environment and ran the upgrade again. So now my data is good again but I've lost all the many changes I made to the site's appearance before going live. My next thought is to export the product related sql fields and import them to the production site. I checked all the product related fields that were populated which are:- ps_product.sql ps_product_attribute_image.sql ps_product_download.sql ps_product_lang.sql ps_product_sale.sql ps_product_shop.sql However, after successfully importing them and checking my back office catalogue, I can see the extra products but my inventory count hasn't increased and the additional products have no images associated with them. Also the "quantity" column displays "--" (instead of either zero or 1) So it seems I need to import more than the above fields to complete the task. Can anyone tell me what other database fields I need to get it to work? Thanks! deepee
  14. Hi, I'm trying to make a custom import for my CSV using the default CSV Prestashop import tool but I need to update my product prices by group id, so I made a csv with this layout: id_product; name; reference; id_product_attribute; id_group; price; I need this to function by uploding it using the csv import and with the import all of the specific prices to be updated. So please let me know what should I change in AdminImport controller so this can be executed. I'm expecting anyones help asap because this is very urgent!!! Thanks in advance, Irena
  15. Hi everyone, i need to import a product list exported from a .asp ecommerce. The file is not a CSV, but a block note file. I will upload it here so you can check it. 16. Hi all, What is the best way to import products from feeds in txt or xml formats? Thanks!
  17. I have a store currently in Prestashop and I badly need to migrate over to 1.5 for 1 reason: multiple warehouses. We need to be able to keep track of stock at a warehouse in the US and one in Canada. My question is, how can i import the products into the new 1.5 install. Or, more specifically, which tables do I need to copy over from 1.4? The data that we are currently inputting for each product is: Name: Reference: Supplier: Pre-tax retail price: Tax rule: Category: Friendly URL: Short description: Long Description: Tags: Images: Specific Prices: Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Hi I am trying to upload a csv file. it was working and now it is broken. When I upload a file I get an 500 - Internal server error. Even trying to upload 4 lines just takes for ever and then throws that error. This started happening after I tried to import more than 2500 line items. Can anyone please assist as it seems that Prestashop is broken. Thank you.
  19. I use the Import function to add images to my product. The file has this field: header) id_product,img_url,delete_previous_img record) 10,http://www.myimgspace.com/10.jpg,0 After the process, retur the message with success but no images in my catalog. Any ideas? Thanks
  20. Hi everyone. It's come time now for us to speed up product loading times. It's really manual atm using the out-of-the-box load tool. It's a little hard to get the combinations and it cant load features really that well. We want to buy a addon that lets us rapidly upload new products, combinations and features. I've seen Store Manager. Anyone had any experience with this? I'm really calling on the strength of the Prestashop community to help us quickly pick a addon to buy. Our budget is up too $1000. Please help as there are so many out there. Basically the most we've done so far it a google search and also looking into the prestashop's addons site. Please help. We have around 5000 new products and images we need to load. We are running 1.4.7.
  21. I need help, or someone to hold my hand while going through the CSV import process. Some many questions....so little resources! 1. Do I have to fill in all the columns for products that Prestashop gives? I can choose to ignore the ones NOT filled out after import, right? (Products) 2. What's the difference between the URL image and URL re-written? 3. Is this how I would rewrite the Image url.....http://www.myshopname.com/Images/subcategoryname/name of file 4. I'd like to add Length, Height and Width in my upload, is this possible? 5. I am using Excel and understand changing it to a CSV file but do I have to have my column headings (that I will skip) in the same order as they appear on the product listing import page on Prestashop? Someone please take pity on me. I've watched all the youtubes I can find, I'll searched all the forums, I even signed up for PrestaTraining videos which didn't tell "jack" about using the import.... Thank you in advance!
