Hi, For a couple of weeks now I've been having problems with my website in the mobile version, but only in Android devices (iPhones work ok). When you try to add a product to the cart, the page freezes and then simply goes to error page (Page cannot be loaded). It also only happens with some products, not all, for example, with this one: https://12pulgadasbcn.com/es/chaquetas-cortavientos/3431-9144-columbia-challenger-pullover.html I have version 1.7.3.2 and currently installed a Leo Theme. Any ideas?? Please help it's urgent! Thank you to all!!

We are a Web Host with a client who has PrestaShop V. 1.6.1.7. We want to upgrade the Server from MySQL 5.6 to MySQL 5.7 I can't find definitive information as to the minimum PrestaShop version they should upgrade to so they have good compatibility with MySQL 5.7. - or any upgrade guide. Can anyone help with advice or links as to where I can find the information needed? Thanks very much, Merv

Hi there I recently completed an upgrade for our client by following the guide at https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/basics/keeping-up-to-date/upgrade/ The client runs multistore with various themes based off the default-bootstrap theme. I upgraded them using the manual upgrade instructions as per the link above, as the 1-click upgrade module kept failing. The page linked above was our main guide when considering and quoting the upgrade for the client. I realized after the upgrade that the theme was no longer available under "themes" and that the upgrade process had installed a new "Classic" theme. After searching around on the web, I came to realize that 1.6 themes are not compatible with 1.7. I must note that the guide at https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/basics/keeping-up-to-date/upgrade/ not once makes mention that 1.6 themes will no longer be compatible with 1.7 after the upgrade. I had to find clarification of this on StackOverflow. Obviously, I am now in a difficult situation, because we have done a lot of customization on the default-bootstrap theme over the past few years for our client's purposes. My questions are: 1) Is there a method / module / script / guide that I can use to upgrade the default-bootstrap theme and not just replace it with Classic? 2) Alternatively, is there perhaps a 1.7 version of the default-bootstrap theme available, that someone jury-rigged for 1.7? 3) What 1.7 theme would be "closest" to the original layout / design of default bootstrap? I have two different cart rules. REV NAC 50% and REV NAC 30%. The REV NAC 50% is for the products of the category called "50% desc" and the Discount 30% is for the category called "30% desc". I have the "Compatibility with other cart rules" option checked and on the collumn "Combined cart rules" are both discounts on each. When I test the discounts on the website, I can only see the discount of the first product I added to the cart, after adding more products from the other category, the respective discounts doesn't appear. It should appear the REV NAC 30% affecting 30% discount on the products that belong to the category "30% desc" and REV NAC 50% affecting 50% discount on the products that belong to the category "50% desc".

I am currently in the process of setting up an online marketplace for brick-and-mortar retailers in the Caribbean island, the Commonwealth of Dominica. I want to give online buyers the opportunity to pay via Paypal but I could not find it in the module list. I am aware that Paypal serves my country and I know exactly what its rates are. Since I could not find it in the module list I downloaded the zip version marketed to USA, Canada and Mexico, since our geographical region usually falls within this group. However, after installing the module and configuring it with my API I have found that errors occur in sandbox mode. It simply does not recognise any paypal credentials I supply (I have two and have tested both). Upon install I got an error message from Prestashop indicating that they had not verified that this module would work for my location. However, as stated earlier, I know that Paypay is available in my location. So my questions are as follows: - If I have downloaded the wrong module(s) for my location, where might I access the correct one? (if it exists) - Is this an error which can be corrected? And if so how might I correct it? - If there is no module for my location, what options do I have in acquiring/developing one/having one developed Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, Davidson

Hello everyone! In my opinion the safest way to minor upgrade from previous version is to make database dumb and merge it to fresh installed new Prestashop. As follows the question: Is there any differense in database structure between 1.6.0.9 and 1.6.0.11 for: - Products - Categories - Carriers - Prestashop settings and other tables? Did anyone had experiense successful upgrading by merging database or Autoupgrade module? -
Hi! Currently I'm using the following to add css to my module.... public function hookDisplayHeader() { $this->context->controller->addCSS($this->_path.'css/mymodule.css', 'all'); } But I noticed that the CSS is added to ALL pages of prestashop, is that what the "all" in the above line means? Since it is causing compatibility issues with other modules, I'd like to add it just where my module is used. Thanks,

Hi all! These days I'm starting so many topics 'cause developing a module makes me reflecting about different aspects about Prestashop platform Btw, I tried to install the module I'm developing on the 1.4.9.0 version (of Prestashop, of course) and the installation fails at all. It gives me a blank page with no errors and no alert messages, so I can't figure out what's wrong. I could study how the modules for 1.4.x version are installed to find differences in the process and maybe fix the problem, but the question I've in my mind is more generic: How do we (the developers) have to manage the modules' compatibility? If I develop (as I'm doin') a module starting on the 1.6.x PS version (the newer one), how can I assure and manage the compatibility for the older PS versions? How I change and structure my code? Are there guide lines for doin' this? And if not, maybe someone from the PS staff could write a guide all about compatiblity. I've read the developer's guide but I can't remember anything about it. What do you think about? I'd love to do it myself (I love to write documentation, yes... maybe I'm crazy), but I've not enough experience in PS development

Info about paypal module 3.6.7: "Compatibility PrestaShop v1.3.0.1 - v1.6.0.5 PrestaBox" Hi, my prestashop version is 1.5.4.1 When I try to install paypal it forces version 3.6.7. When it does I have the following message: "- paypal : The version of your module is not compliant with your PrestaShop version." I'm stuck. I need this module. Is there any way to fix this? Where can I download paypal module older version (3.6.6)? Thank you

Hello All, I have a quick question Whenever a customer attempts to checkout and pay using any other browser except Firefox it takes the customer right back to the top of the page When using Firefox the sale and payment go through normally Any help would be greatly appreciated Aimee

Hey there, hope this is the right place to post this: I've been having two issues with my site, the first being that our site loads fine in chrome and firefox but very strangely in internet explorer. The second being that the overall speed and loading times are very slow. I'll go ahead and attach an IE screenshot as well. I had Prestashop running for a couple of years and earlier this year I updated to 1.5 and despite a few hiccups all has been well and the site is great. A client of mine wanted a CMS site so I tried to install Joomla and it told me that my PHP 5.1 needed updating to PHP 5.3. I looked around the forum and couldn't find anything mentioned that this would be an issue. I updated to PHP 5.3 and now the site is complete blank - nothing works front or back. I wondered if anyone had any ideas what could be the issue. I've installed a new copy of PS in a different folder and thats fine but obviously I don't want to go through re configuring, transferring, reinstalling modules and linking databases etc if there is just something I've missed. www.barflya.com/store is the site -

Hello! Problem description: For www.viarosa.ro, which runs on PS 1.5.3.1 I have used a theme from an older site, running on PS 1.5.2.0. I have overwritten the files from themename/modules/modulename with files from root/modules, so that everything would be OK. All was OK, except for the fact that the site runs (loads) slow in IE and Chrome. I suspected theme incompatibility so I activated the default theme and it loaded very fast. That being said, theme incompatibility remains the prime suspect. Can anyone please tell me how to solve the compatibility issue? What could be the cause of it? Thank you!

I'm really frustrated right now, since I've been trying to update for quite some time now, and when I finally manage to do it, I get this error. Also, when I did the update, I got an error with the modules and marketing tab, which I found out that it was the paypal module. I corrected this error, so I don't think that's related to the issue of the Error 302. I think I'm going to restore the website to the backup version I have. Hi! How do I make a theme compatible with RTL languages and make it able display Cyrillic symbols? I have tried adding Russian, Bulgarian and other similar languages using Cyrillic symbols under Localization > Languages and Translations but I could not add nor enable the languages in back office for some unknown reason. Can somebody please explain the steps to me to get this to work? Thanks.

I downloaded the Prestashop zip folder from this website from the main page. Prestashop 1.4.8.2 I can not continue installing due to the following. It states that I don't have write permissions on the smarty folder, and on the compile folder inside of the smarty_v2 folder. The funny thing is, in the official download on Prestashop's website, I do not have a smarty folder, only smarty_v2, and there is not a compile folder in the smarty_v2 folder.... Required set-up. Hi everyone, Is there any "compatibility" option in 1.5? In terms of turning on some option that will scale down themes engine so that 1.4 themes can be run nicely on 1.5? I think this should be very nice option for transation period and for speeding up migration. Thanks, Vladeta

Hi everybody, I wanted to make upgrade from 1.4.7.3 to 1.4.8.2 that has to be easy task, has not it? But it was not. Problem started when appeared problem with upgrade module. After I followed the steps requested i received message as follows: "Technical error Error detected during backup Db" After that I decided to make upgrade manually. Again I followed the requested steps I found in prestashop guide. In step 3 - System compatibility I received the following message: Your configuration is invalid. Please fix the issues below: Write permissions on folders (do not apply recursively/to subfolders): /config /tools/smarty/compile /tools/smarty/cache /tools/smarty_v2/compile /tools/smarty_v2/cache /sitemap.xml /log Write permissions on folders and subfolders/recursively: /img /mails /modules /themes/prestashop/lang /themes/prestashop/cache /translations /upload /download After that I tried to solve the problem by changing the permission in folders marked with red cross. At first I checked in my server provider permissions settings that are for folders 775. After that I did changes in on FTP server folders permissions according to 775 where neccessary. After that I checked my settings again but no success. So I am at the and of my power and without your help I will have big big troubles with my bussiness. Hi all, I thought all 1.4.x templates were compatible with 1.4.7. So I had a chat with Template Monster about a desired PrestaShop template that would only be compatible with PrestaShop 1.4.0 and they told me it's not compatible with 1.4.7, nor does it use Smarty3 that increases the performance of PrestaShop. An upgrade to 1.4.7 would cost me $ 450. I get the feeling that Template Monster puts quantity over quality.. so I'm looking for another template supplier/market place for templates. Unfortunately, the only template supplier that PrestaShop seem to recommend, is Template Monster and I could only find the following design agencies: http://prestadesigner.com/our-themes/ http://dapurpixel.com/theme/ http://killerthemes.de/ Any suggestions? -
Dear Presta friends, I am new to PrestaShop, but I have already chosen it to power my webshop due to its excellent features. Here is the thing I need help with before I spend money. I want to buy a PrestaShop theme that was built for versions 1.4.0.X. The question is would the theme work with latest version of PrestaShop 1.4.6.2? And what about newer versions that will come? Version 1.5? When do the compatibility problems appear? I want to know for sure because I'd like to upgrade my webshop whenever a new version of Presta comes out. J'ai à installer une boutique prestashop, et mon client désire ce thème : http://addons.prestashop.com/fr/high-tech/2650-high-tech-tm33966.html qui est noté "compatible seulement avec PS 1.4.0" J'en conclus qu'il n'est pas compatible avec la version actuelle, 1.4.4. (quelle conclusion !) Je suis très novice avec Prestashop. J'ai lu quelques posts sur "comment rendre un thème compatible", mais c'est toujours pour le rendre compatible 1.4 , jamais 1.4.4 Vaut-il mieux dans ce cas installer un Prestashop 1.4.0 afin d'être tranquille mais en faisant une croix sur les évolutions depuis cette version ? merci de vos avis
