Hi, I have a multistore setup and in one of the stores, the leftside category block just displays the root category and has to be clicked on to display the subcategories. Is there a way to hide the root category and just display the subcategories? Or even if you can't hide the root, can you show or list the subcategories without having to click on the root to expand that tree? Thanks much!

Hello everyone. I recently installed Prestashop 1.16.1.18. I'm using it in "multistore" mode. In the home page of each store appears the module of the categories with the title "Categories" above it. I would know how to change that title only in the main store (I would like to change "Categories" to "Stores"). Is there any way to make this change in the main store without affecting the other stores? Thank you very much in advance for any help.

Previously 'Categories Block Module' works perfectly, However I found it disappear in one of my multishop after some days. Then I uninstall this module and try to install it, but this msg prompt out: The following module(s) were not installed properly: blockcategories : This module need to be hooked in a column and your theme does not implement one I attach the module copy from the server. Jak w temacie problem z modułem Categories block. Wyświelta się na stronie głównej i innych podstronach sklepu, jednak nie wiświetla się po wejściu w jakąś kategorię. Jakies pomysły? Nie zmieniałem nic z hookami. // EDIT Zauważyłem, że menu kategroii działa tak, że jak kliknę kategorię a mam dodane podkategorie to wyświetla mi tylko dodane kategorie. Czy da radę zrobić tak, aby drzewo kategroii było cały czas wyświetlane? -
Hi there I am using PrestaShop version 1.6.0.9 I am trying to get the Categories block to stay visible when I click on a product, but it keeps eluding me how. I added a hook, but then it appeared underneath the product image instead. I attached 2 pictures to illustrate my point. btw. I´m using the default bootstrap theme

Hi, For some reason my categories menu has completely disappeared from the left column of my website: http://www.cmsbitz.com/presta/ I have checked and it's hooked into the left column. Anybody know what might have happened? Many thanks in advance. -
Hello, In the "Categories Block" module i enabled the "Current category" in "Category root" option. But I want to stop setting the current category as category root at the second level of my categories. Something like in my homepage my menu displays my 1st level categories and when I click one of them, it should display its 2nd level categories and go no more levels down. I tried editing modules/blockcategories/blockcategories.php but I had no luck. Any tips or workarounds? Thanks in advance -
Hi, I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction. I delivered a prestashop site, all working with a responsive theme. The guy who was supposed to be just putting products in some how found himself in modules and started tinkering. Yay. Anyway, I've pretty much got it all back and will restrict his user. however, one problem remains and can't for the life of me find how to resolve it. When the browser reaches the smallest width, the categories block disappears. Any ideas

Hi, strange bug with categories block, it chose one category for itself and shows it selected on every category, look http://www.sanitarios-casadebanho.pt/pt/6-banheiras-hidromassagem http://www.sanitarios-casadebanho.pt/pt/12-cabines-de-duche Tried to uninstall the module and reinstall it, no help. And when I select "Category root" - Current in module settings, it behaves strange, sometimes it shows correct category, sometimes it just disappears. update: it looks correct when set to Category root - Current. When I switch back to "Category root" - Home it shows the category last selected with "Category root" set to Current Where to look for the problem? Some db problems? cache? thanks! -
Hi got a problem, currently use a template which uses a TM Categories module (installed on PS 1.4.9.0) and there is some "co-operation" problem. Currently Categories block is hooked to a Left column block as well as hooked in Header of pages. TM Categories -displays a block with drop down menu regarding to all aviable categories- but there is one trouble: I don't want to display nowhere on page Categories(as a block) (not left or right side of page as well as not at any other page) as i wish to use just TM Categories option to choose a category to display - but this option is not working as i had to remove all hooks connected to a Categories block and TM Categories is unable to switch between any categories which are already on site.Someone had solution for this ? -

Hi, is there any way to stop Categories block to show the subcategories images like it normally does? We have 4 categories levels, but as we don't want any subcategories images on the entire site, so, i added all the products to propper level and to the first category level too, and set just two levels show on categories block module, so, the upper menu will show all the categories levels like we want and the right menu will show all the products on the first level as it is set. It works like we want all the products are show, but we want to avoid sub-categories images to be show on the upper side of the page once the wanted category is selected on right menu. Hi, I don't know if it's this last update of firefox or not, but my store in firefox doesn't seem to have java enabled since i have the foloowing problems: - homeslider has all banners shown vertically, - categories block has all the tree "open". I've checked and i have java installed. And passed the test at java.com using the same browser. Tried on a virtual machine and firefox freshly installed, and i got the same problem. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi I'm using Prestashop 1.5.2. I have a problem with the Categories Block where if you hover a link to a category the alt text that pops up is the description I inserted into the Category itself. What I want is for this pop up text to be pulled from the Category Title. This was easily fixed in 1.4 by ammending category-tree-branch.tpl but doesn't seem to work in 1.5.2. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi, Is there something that needs to be done so that the Categories block in the footer is updated when your category list changes? When the Categories block is used elsewhere it shows current categories, but the instance in the footer shows categories that were previously deleted. Thank you -
I am having trouble with the categories block. I am unable to get access to my categories in the left hand column and also in the header column? What would cause this?
