Hi, my question is about if it's possible to link the file that i want to attach to my product to another custom server so I could store this file in different server avoiding to burden the server where the site is located. I have almost 20000 product so I need to store too much data for my principal server. Sorry for my bad english I hope it can be understand.

Did anyone have any issues on Prestashop with indexing? What's the chance I will face the same Indexing issues that I have with Magento: Price rules issues where products won't discounted, Products disappear from website & integration problem with ERP or warehouse system Please share your experience!

Hello everyone, I've been looking for a good ecommerce solution for a while for our bookstore website and I stumbled upon prestashop.com. It seems to be pretty powerful and capable and perhaps a good fit for our needs. However, I read in a couple of places that Prestashop is more suited towards small/middle-sized businesses and can get bogged down in large sites. I was wondering, based on your experiences what is the "breaking point" for Prestashop? Our shop currently has about 2500 products, and has the potential to slowly expand to more in the future. (maybe get to 4000 in the next five years, or something, just to give an idea)... Most items are simple (just books with descriptions, images, links to similar items)... Very few items with attributes and combinations, etc... But how much will Prestashop handle smoothly before it starts to get slow for visitors? Any suggestions on what I could do to improve performance? Or, should I look to other solutions? Thanks for your help and suggestions! P.S. Also, we have been using shared hosting until now, and plan to keep doing that for the near future.
