Hello, I am hoping someone here can help me. I have very foolishly agreed to create a website for my friend using Prestashop. However, I don't think I have the expertise to create. I have somehow managed to do a one-click install on Bluehost and managed to get it live. But now I have no idea how to customized it from the back end. I know I should have a unique install name for www.exclusivemotorsent.com/adminxxxxxxx but I have no idea how to find it. Does anyone know how I go about doing this? Thank you.

Hi, I've installed Prestashpo 1.5.3.1 on a Bluehost.com shared hosting account, I'm using a CSV file to import my products (more than 30,000) but I can't upload more than 200 products each time due to timeout error. In the best case, each set of 150~200 products will take about 10 mins to import and then it'll stop and it'll either give me Error 500, or it just freezes without importing any more products. Each product has 4 images (600x600px jpeg) that are uploaded on the same server, and I'm using absolute URLs in my CSV file to import them. It's so hard to keep importing just 150~200 products at a time, I've heard that some guys managed to import products in 1000s or 2000s batches, that's so much better. I believe it's something to do with my php.ini file, here is my exact php.ini file content: max_input_vars = 5000; suhosin.post.max_vars = 3000; suhosin.request.max_vars = 3000; max_execution_time = 10000; memory_limit = 512M; I just have the above lines in my php.ini file. Any piece of info or tip is highly appreciated. thanks sia

Recent images that I am adding into FlexSlider are not rendering, only shows default ? image. We just turned on and then off and then on the friendly URLs thing but had a rough time with BlueHost as it was not telling prestashot if the mod_rewrite thing was working or not, even though a call to BlueHost verified it is. There are three images showing in the slider that have been part of the module for awhile. It is only now after the host conversion that if I add an image to the slide show, that newly added image onto the host does not render - just shows the default ? image - but the other, older images to show in the slider. This is the image that is not showing. http://maison-dh42.netdna-ssl.com/modules/blockmultislider/images/2bbd336766472679df08aaf54e34cbc9.jpg I am afraid to turn off then on the friendly URL aspect of the site as that caused so many mysterious problems. To that end, I think some links are friendly on the site and some are not. There were two or three links that I had to hard code the page into Prestashop so that they render (skipping the friendly URL thing even though it is on for the site and I think other links are using this). Is this htaccess rewrite issue or this deeper and more involved with the mod_rewrite feature not working properly at BlueHost? Any tips or help is appreciated.

Hello! Thanks for looking at my issue. I am transferring a client's Prestashop site to a new server, and updating from 1.4.1.0 to 1.5.6.0. 1) I am now unable to login to the admin. The login error is The Employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect. I have manually logged into the database and credentials are correct in the employee table. When I attempt to reset the password, it doesn't recognize the email. I was able to log in yesterday. Not sure where I goofed. 2) This is all the front end displays: http://69.195.124.139/~snugglew/index.php Kind of dead in the water ATM. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance. Morgan

I have a current 1.4.9 shop running at Rackspace Cloud Sites. I want to move to Bluehost. I move the files over, and the database, but have php mail issues... I am thinking that moving to a new hosting company, possibly I should do a clean install of prestashop. I did a one click upgrade to 1.5.4 but still have php mail issues. That it says is a configuration problem. A clean new install of 1.5.4 does not have those php mail issues. I assume that the new clean install somehow sets the configuration properly to work within the hosting environment it is being installed in. So how do I get my current database, upgraded and part of a new clean install. The database is upgraded to 1.5.4 from the one click upgrade, but are some of the configuration issues already built into it? Should I do a clean install, with and let it generate a brand new database, then change the database to mine.... Or should I do a new clean install, but when it asks for database info, give it the current database I have.....

Grazie a tutti in anticipo.

Hello folks, I am on a Bluehost High CPU shared server, which has following features: [4:28:12 AM] Specs for the current generation of "4-in-1" servers (ultimately supports 4 customer boxes): [4:28:12 AM] 8x AMD Opteron-6168 12Core (Processor) [4:28:12 AM] 1x Super Micro AS -2122TG-HTRF (Chassis, Motherboard, Heatsinks) [4:28:12 AM] 16x 8 GB DDR3-133 ECC / REG (Memory) [4:28:13 AM] 12x WD1500BLFS (Hard Drives) [4:28:13 AM] 8x Samsung 256GB SSD (SSD Drives) [4:28:13 AM] 4x LSI 9280-4i4E (Sata Controller) [4:28:13 AM] 4x LSIIBBU07 (Controller Battery) [4:28:13 AM] Storage Array: [4:28:14 AM] 2x External JBOD Chassis- 4u 45Bay SAS (Chassis) [4:28:14 AM] 90x 2TB Hitach 3.5" (Hard Drives) I am allowed to use 7% of these ressources, yet my 1000-1500 hits per day apparently force this server on it's knees. I am being CPU-throttled most of the time, which means I exceed the 7% CPU capacity of this beast. I find that very hard to believe. I mean, 7% of THAT thing is more than most VPS hosting plans offer! How's that possible? And what am I doing wrong here? I'm using cache, memcached, force compile is on off, I am using CCC, and so on... Thanks in advance for any advice! Dan
