Hello, i use a birthday module which send a voucher to customers on their date of birth and i daily receive lookalike emails Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender : "This is the mail system at host mo804.mail-out.***.net. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster." the thing is it's an important thing to know that the email adress of a customer is not anymore active, but the problem is that sometimes, the customer is already inactive in my database, with newsletter and opt-in selected OFF !! how could it still send emails to inactive customers ? many thanks for your help

Hi I am using PrestaShop version: 1.6.0.9, I can`t figure out how to remove birthday, gender ...... from the registration form. I removed it in an earlier version of PS by modifying the authentication.tpl , but somehow it does´nt work now. En regardant rapidement j'ai vu que la méthode PHP est date(), je pense qu'il faudrait utiliser strftime() et setlocale() pour que ça fonctionne mieux. Je test et vous tiens informé.

Hi everybody, I would like to put up a Birthday Club in my store. For obvious reasons I therefore need to make the day and month of a customer's birthday non-changeable by the customer once he/she has stored his/her birthday. So I would like to change the identity.tpl: If the value stored in the database for birthday is 0000-00-00 then the <select>fields should be displayed as usual and be available for putting in new data. If however the value stored in the database is different from 0000-00-00, I only want to display the stored value for day and month (don't care about the year) for information, but unchangeable. Could somebody please explain to a PHP-greenhorn how to do this? Thank you!

There are several posts about how to remove the Date of Birth field from the information on the user registration form. I'm using 1.6.0.5 and have commented out the DoB code in authentication.tpl, identity.tpl and order-opc-new-account.tpl (though I'm not configured for OPC), where these files are in /themes/mytheme, which is active. I have cleared the cache in Advanced Parameters, Performance and have forced recompilation many times. I've also manually deleted the Smarty cache. I have also cleared my browser cache and tried different browsers. However, Date of Birth still appears in the user registration form. Could anyone suggest a way to remove this field, which works in 1.6.0.5? Many Thanks, Alan

Hi everybody, I would like to leave the birthday month and day on the "Create an Account" page, but remove the year. I've commented out the year already on the three forms authentication.tpl order-opc-new-account.tpl identity.tpl but get "invalid date of birth" when saving a month & day, because of the blank year. I don't want to ask customers their age by asking for the year, but would like to retain the the month & day for birthday marketing purposes. Any hints on how to remove the year without removing the birthday month and day? Possibly defaulting to some value "under-the-hood"? I'm using 1.6.0.6 thanks

Using the default them when my customers choose Guest Checkout it asks them for the Birthday and Gender info. How do I remove this? I got it removed from the registration process for those who choose to register but cant find how to get rid of it from the guest checkout.

Nun komme ich langsam zu den kleinen Details und hier im Forum etwas nachlesen und informieren reicht nicht mehr . Ich möchte gern das Geburtsdatum zur Pflicht machen, aber in den Einstellungen unter Kunden->Kunden und Kunden->Adressen können alle Felder verpflichtet werden, doch leider nicht das Geburtsdatum. ich sag schonmal danke

Hi I can think of very few shops that need to hold on to details of customer birthdays - I for one don't think I've ever come across one. So, in the 1.5 installation of Prestashop, how does this functionality get removed without causing errors. Please tell me in which pages I need to edit, and indicate whether its one line, or several. In PS 1.5.2 I run into an authentication problem. When registering as a new client, if you enter a birthdate which is not accepted, you will get a white screen instead of an error message. When entering a valid birthdate and then, after having properly registered, try to change the birthdate back to an invalid date, you do get the correct error message.
