Hello, Im trying to create an email template which would trigger on order status "backorder". i have created this but when i try to actually have it list the products we have 0 quantity of that the customer orders, it shows as {products} instead of what i want. I know {products} would probably show the full order anyways, but i was wondering if the community could help me out here. Thanks

Alvast bedankt.

This is becoming a repeating problem that's getting frustrating for our customers and ourselves where a customer will place an order, stock available, but they then get emailed a "On backorder (paid)" email. In all cases it appears to be where our stock for an item is (quantity of 1) in the system. It's almost like Preatashop is not taking into account what is sat in live Shopping Carts, thus at point of sale, it thinks it's 0 and thus the email is going out. I've noted other recent comments of a similar nature. This is a business affecting bug. Prestashop version is use 1.7.3.2

Since switching to 1.7 customers have occasionally been able to order more items than currently in stock even though the store is set not to accept orders on items out of stock. This did never happen with previous versions of Prestashop and I wonder if there is anything I can do about it. I do not want customers to be able to order more items than that there is in stock. See attached image that, for some reason, our payment provider (Payson) seems to have been to have been involved twice.

Does anyone know a solution for this issue? Same problem 2 times in 1 week. 2 Customers place the same product in the shopping cart (there is only 1 in stock). With a 2-minute difference, they order the same product. My settings are 'No products can be ordered if stock = 0'. PrestaShop version is 1.7.2.3

Merci d'avance Christophe

Dear Prestashop members, I would like to know if it is somehow possible to create multiple invoices. I want to ship 1 product that is in stock and 1 is still on backorder. I want to have 1 invoice for the product that I ship out and 1 invoice for the product I will be shipping later on. Example: Customer #0001 Name: Patrick Geijtenbeek Product 1 (in stock) Product 2 (BACKORDER) I want a invoice for product 1, that is currently in stock Want to leave Product 2 in backorder and create an invoice as soon as it is ready for shipment. I really hope someone can help me out. Best regards, Patrick Geijtenbeek SignStimepieces.com

Hi there, The backorder text is not showing up in the shopping cart when more of the same products are added and makes them out of stock. For example. There is only 1 product in stock of Product A. - When ordering 1 times Product A, the text displayed is "in stock, available for delivery". - When ordering 2 times Product A, the text displayed is "in stock, available for delivery". So in the 2nd scenario the shopping cart is not displaying the text for backorder "not in stock, delivery in 1 week". It's displaying the wrong text. - Both the Text when in Stock and Backorder text fields are filled in the admin. - Backorder is allowed for the products. Why isn't this working?

Hi, ii have the following situation: I have three stock options: "In Stock" , "Not Available" and "Backorder" (for products that are not in stock but can be ordered). But in layered navigation filters, the products in stock are combined with the back-order ones into one "In stock" filter. Is there any way i can differentiate the stock states in layered navigation? Thanks

When someone creates the order and the product is out of stock, the status automatically switches to "On Backorder". Is there any way to turn this off? We have a couple of internal statuses that we use inside the company and when we create the order in the backoffice, it just changes our custom status to "On Backorder". Can we disable this feature? Thanks

Hi all! I need some advise on how to arrange back-ordering routines (system) and follow them together with orders that already include back-ordered items. Preferably without any hassle because tasks like processing, packing and shipping can be split among few persons or they can substitute each other and so on. We sell clothes online and it is normal that some particular models or sizes we do not stock but they can be delivered to us within 8 hours. Therefore, we allow customers to order out-of-stock items alone or by adding to ones that are available. As a result, we have two types of out-of -stock orders: 1) order consisting out-of-stock item(s) only 2) order consisting of few available items and one or few that are out of stock With the 1 type orders there is no big issue as we create and use "Back-ordered" status. However, with the 2 type it is more complicated. For this type of orders we normally collect items that are available, put them into shelves and wait for back-ordered ones. When they arrive we bundle and ship them out. There is one big issue with it. When get very many orders we get lost with what was already put into shelves and what was back-ordered. Moreover, it is also about efficiency: 1) we do not know how many items are laying in the shelves and are practically sold; and how many we can yet sell without back-ordering. 2) Person who is packing has to check manually all semi-prepared orders in the shelves. Thus, has very low control over time spent. Also, very high probability for mistakes. 3) If out-of-stock items arrive from two different sources at different time it is hard to follow if they have their pairs already waiting for them in the shelves or we are still waiting for them to arrive. I spent much of efforts in convincing my team to stop using paper and promising that it is going to be easier with right IT tools...so now I have to prove it when it's already in place. We used to have a very simple paper system where we always had order printouts and we marked with a pen next to items either "in the shelve" or "back-ordered and date". It was very easy to follow and we always had a good control. Is it possible to have the same approach in PrestaShop 1.5.6.1 (like possibility to mark the ones that have been ordered)? or maybe there is another way to solve it? Thank you very much in advance!

Hi, I'm using V 1.5.6.0 I'm working on a multishop with 3 countries (a different website for each country: Ireland: .ie / France: .fr / Belgium: .be) 2 languages: English - Ireland, French: France and Belgium I'm trying to save some time by creating new products for all 3 shops. I can create products for all 3 shops but when I want to enable back order on all shops, this functionnality seems to be disable. And when I 'go into' a specific shop, ie: Irish, French or Belgian,I can still NOT allow back order on products created for all 3 shops. Anybody came across the same problem? If so any solution? Eric p.s: back order does work if I create each produc separately in each shop

Dear Prestashop members, I would like to know if it is somehow possible to create a list with products (not a order overview) that are sold, but are currently in backorder. I know I can filter the orders to on a status. but this gives only an order overview. But I want a PRODUCT list (if possible including customer name) with all the orders that currently have the status "waiting for product" I want to see with 1 click what products I need to order, is that possible? I'm keeping on track of it manualy for 1,5 years now, but now I upgraded to 1.5.3 and it is time for change, manually takes to much time and errors. Show all products within order status "waiting for product" + Name + orderdate Example: Products | Customer Name | Order date TW Steel watch TW1 | Patrick Geijtenbeek | 24-02-2013 Otumm watch Rose Gold | A. Prestahop | 25-02-2013 I really hope someone can help me out. Best regards, Patrick Geijtenbeek SignStimepieces.com

I am a bit lost with the backorder message. This works when the product has reached zero stock. When there are, lets say, two items left in stock, no message is shown. Makes sence, because the amount of products to be ordered in the front end is automaticallt set to one. When this amount is changed to five, it can be placed in the cart and orderder. No message is displayed to the customer. Is that correct?
