I have tried to move the search box on the classic theme to between the logo and the login/basket links at the top of the site. This I did by transplanting the search bar into the displayNav2 hook and then moving this to the top position within that hook. I then removed the search bar from the displayTop hook. All good at this point and achieved what I was after on the desktop version of the site, see attached. However on checking the mobile site I now longer have the search bar under the logo (I assume this is because I've removed it from displayTop hook). Wonder if anyone has a solution to resolve this? I'm basically looking to move the search bar into the top area of the desktop site (To allow more space for menu items) but want to leave the mobile site as it is originally, with the search bar immediately below the logo (as per the attached image). Any helpful suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Using v1.5.3.1 For example, there is a product "SE3761" We can only search the Full text "SE3761" to obtain this result. How can we modify that if I search only "3761" also can find this product?? Thank you.

Hi guys, I am using prestashop 1.5 and there are 2 search bars, one is default search box and the other is Quick search box module. Quick search box module can be removed from modules section in BO but I would like to keep Quick search module and delete the other one. Is that possible and how do I do that?

Hello, I have a theme Postilla and it has a search button, see screenshot. I want to remove the button and place a search bar instead of it. The second screenshot is when you click the button, but I want that bar immediately at the homepage in stead of clicking first the button. Can't figure out how. Anyone a solution? Tried something in ps_searchbar.tpl which works good but can't get the styling done, see screenshot 3. Prestashop 1.7.5

Hello! I've a serious and strange problem with the search bar: it doesn't show any result. I've read a lot of posts but I didn't find any solution. I've tried to rebuild the search index, but nothing change. I've checked the database and both ps_search_index and ps_search_word aren't empty and have correct keywords... do not know what to do anymore. The only clue I have is that the problem occurred after activating the multistore. PS 1.7.4.3 PHP 7.2

Hello everybody. I need to put default text like "enter key words here" in the search bar of blocktopmenu in Prestashop 1.5. There was a thread where this problem was solved by Rocky for header search bar like this: This code is similar for the blocktopmenu search bar, so it had to work. But I can not find what did Rocky mean by "Change [removed] to javascript followed by :", because without this change the default text does not desapear from the search bar. So please tell me, where is this javascript code that should be put instead of [removed] in Prestashop 1.5?

how to give space between search bar/input and search button can any one plz tel me

I'm using Prestashop and Wordpress, is there a way to have my search bar from my Prestashop side on my Wordpress part of the website. The biggest technicality seems to be that Wordpress does not use tpl file extensions to create web pages. If anyone could get back to me on this subject I'd appreciate it. I'm not certain this is the correct place to post, let me know if it isn't and I'll get this removed promptly. Cheers, Gary

Hello, I'm completely new to prestashop and html, so I tried to search for tutorials how to center logo and resize it to become bigger. But the main menu and cart moved completely (shown in images). I'd like to have some help and get the code to get this result: 1) how to make the main menu bar back to "normal"; 2) how to center logo and what dimensions it should have (above the main menu bar); 3) how to move the search bar down the logo and main menu bar on the right. I am wondering how to add text to the search bar. Like the search bar in this forum (above) it says 'Search...' then when you start typing the word goes away. Does anyone know what I need to add to make it do that and where? I would imagine it would be modified in the superfish-modified.css in the blocktopmenu module. Thanks! Also, I would like to make the search bar stretch wider when the pointer hovers over the search bar. Any help is appreciated!!
