How to test email functions with a Gmail account in Prestashop? Hi community. I have seen some questions about the email issues. I want to show you how to set up a Gmail account in Prestashop as your temporary SMTP server, which lets you easily test your email functionality, templates and related stuff. This is what I went through in a local server and I manged to get it working. Set up a new Gmail account (if you do not have any). Sign in to your account. Open BO of your Prestashop. Go under this menu "Advanced Parameters > E-mail". Find the "Email" form. Fill the form like this: Send emails to > Select "Customer Service" Radio Buttons > Select "Set my own SMTP parameters (for advanced users ONLY)" Email domain name > Let it be blank SMTP server > "smtp.gmail.com" SMTP username > Fill it with your gmail for example : [email protected] SMTP password > Fill it with the account password (if does not work create an APP password and use that) Encryption > Select "TLS" Port > "578" Radio Buttons > Select "Both" Log emails > Select "Yes" After you have saved these, send a test email in the next form with title of "Test your email configuration". I use this method just for testing, like when you want to test the email templates and you do not want to put time on setting up an SMTP server locally. En resumen, el problema era de el lado del proveedor de hosting. En detalle, fueron dos días donde todos los chicos de hostinger me mandaban a resolver el problema de el lado de gsuite, y es que fueron tres dominios, dos con diferentes versiones de PS y un tercero con WP, ciertamente pensé que el lio estaba con google ya que el factor común es que todos esos dominios los manejo con gsuite, luego se me ocurrió poner un correo de outlook como correo de la tienda realizando todos los cambios pero tampoco jaló, finalmente hice un correo con otro dominio que si es manejado por hostinger y tampoco, aquí no quedaba duda de que era el problema era el hosting, tras las pruebas que describo regreso por centesima ocasión con los chicos de soporte y en un minuto quedó resuelto, y me indicó que “Parece ser que era el servidor SMTP que se habia quedado "Atascado" por así decirse. Al reiniciarse se ha arreglado el inconveniente por lo que veo” y me sugirió que en un futuro problema con el correo inicialmente pida que reinicien el servidor SMTP 😒. En la técnica no tengo idea que significa sin embargo y sin duda es una simpleza pero por ella y la falta de voluntad o capacitación me hicieron perder varios días de ventas en tres dominios pero ni hablar, son las cosas con las que supongo se tiene que lidiar. Nuevamente gracias por el apoyo y espero esto les sea útil en algún momento. ----------------------------------- Desde ya agradezco la orientación Tengo dos instalaciones distintas en dominios distintos, una esta en PS 1.7.8.5 y la segunda en PS 8.0.4, para ambos casos y ambos dominios el servicio de correos es proporcionado por G Suite desde siempre, la configuración en ambos casos para el envío de correos es a través de la opción “/usr/sbin/sendmail”que entiendo es por PHP y nunca había tenido problemas, sin embargo justo a partir del 15 de junio de este año se dejaron de recibir correos pero no marca error, no se reciben correos desde el formulario de contacto, ni los de ventas ni el test desde dentro de la configuración del correo y yo no moví nada nada que pudiera haber afectado. Hola a todos, tengo un pequeño problema, a ver si a alguen mas le pasa, tengo prestashop 1.7 con redsys configurado, funciona todo bien, el pago se hace correctamente y el email de pedido le llega al cliente bien, pero a mi no, no me llega email de pedido nuevo, teniendo el modulo de MAIL ALERT instalado y configurado con mi cuenta de email. lo unico que me llega es un correo de Redsys con codigo. Guten Tag, ich habe auf die Prestashop Version 1.7.7 geupdatet und meine PHP Version von 7.2 auf 7.3 gestellt. Nun habe ich das Problem das Prestashop keine Emails mehr an Kunden versenden kann. Wenn ich auf Erweiterte Einstellungen > Email gehe und dort auf "Test E-mail senden" kommt nur: "Fehler: Bitte prüfen Sie Ihre Einstellungen Expected response code 220 but got an empty response" Ich habe auch versucht auf SMTP umzustellen doch dort kommt auch eine Fehlermeldung obwohl alle Daten korrekt sind. (Foto im Anhang) Hinzu kommt noch das wenn ich auf Translation > Email gehe dort angeblich die Default Emails nicht in der Datenbank gefunden werden obwohl Sie mir angezeigt werden. Mit meinem Hosting Anbieter 1&1 habe ich auch mehrmals telefoniert aber dort soll wohl alles in Ordnung sein. Ich bin langsam am verzweifeln habe schon in vielen Foren gesucht, sogar ein "Experten" auf Fiverr bezahlt doch keiner konnte mir helfen. Ich wäre für eine Antwort sehr dankbar. J'ai bien lu et compris que la commande php mail() avait été supprimée pour raison de sécurité au profit de la commande linux /usr/sbin/sendmail et j'ai vérifié, c'est bien configuré ainsi. Problème : ça ne fonctionne pas sur mon serveur mutualisé IONOS, pas plus que je n'ai de possibilité d'utiliser un smtp sur ce serveur mutualisé. Quelle solutions svp ? Merci beaucoup. La boutique est en production et depuis quasi plus de commandes... normal.

Hi All, I have am trying to setup the SMTP email in Advanced Parameters > Email but i get the attached error when send a test email. What does this error mean? Can anyone suggest a possible fix please for me to try? The Credentials are 100% correct so it can't be that and the SMTP setting are copied from the Microsoft site and confirmed to be correct by our IT Team. Any suggestion, however small, would be greatly appreciated. Version - I am using Prestashop 1.7.4.2. Thank you.

We were having SPF errors on our G Suite order account so I changed the phpmail > SMTP using our G Suite/Gmail SMTP account Everything is working fine again, except the client emails (like the new client Welcome! email and the actual order for the client) are now also send to the G Suite SMTP order account. And another weird thing is that the confirmed orders are send to the G Suite SMTP order account but do not end up in the "Inbox". but if you search for the order number the email pops up! I is not in any of the g Suite "labels" on the left, except "All email" Is this a known "bug" or do I need to configure something else? We are using v1.7.6.7 regards ST21

Folgendes habe ich schon getan: - Meine eigene SMTP Einstellung verwendet und mir eine Testmail im Back Office Bereich zugesandt, das funktionierte (Bild Nr.003) Doch wenn ich über das Kontaktmenü im Onlineshop mir eine Testmail zusenden will, bekomme ich immer eine Fehlermeldung wie auf dem Bild zu sehen ist (Bild Nr.001). Auch habe ich die andere Variante mit der PHP-Funktion getestet, auch hier das gleiche Problem (Bild Nr.002). - Im Back Office Bereich ( Log In) konnte ich keine genauere Fehlerbeschreibung der fehlgeschlgenen Versendung, sehen. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit in den .css Dateien etwas zu kontrollieren oder zu ändern? Wenn ja welche Datei wäre es dann und in welcher Zeile müsste ich etwas ändern. Hello, I have huge problem with my PS shop. I have configured SMTP (Office365) on my PS 1.7.6.1 shop and the problem is that sometimes mail is not sending. It happens sometimes 1 of 30, but sometimes 5 of 10. It happens on every email template, sometimes on registration, order and even test email. On test email I have an error: "Connection could not be established with host smtp.office365.com [Connection timed out #110]". Does anyone had problem with something similar?

Próbuję konfigurować sklep prestashop na nazwa.pl ale niestety mam problem z smtp. Próbowałem: porty 25, 465, 587, 995 adres serwera: nazwaserwera.nazwa.pl, nazwaDomeny, smpt.nazwadomeny szyfrowanie brak, SSL, TLS kilkukrotnie sprawdzałem hasło i login (pełny adres mailowy) ale żadna z kilkudziesięciu kombinacji nie działa, sprawdzałem dwukrotnie. Czy mogę prosić kogoś kto ma prestashop 1.7 na serwerze nazwa.pl o przesłanie zrzutu konfiguracji?

If i try to send a test email Taking this error -> Authentication failed using username 'b**@al****.com' and password '***************' I think swift is trying to authenticate on my server. But it need to authanticate on yandex server. How can i do this? My Smtp Settings; Domain: www.al****.com Email: b**@al*****.com Smtp: smtp.yandex.ru Outgoing Port: 587 Encyrpte: None Note: My DKIM, SPF records are assigned as yandex's parameters. And i'm sending gracefully emails on my pc, tablet on web based interface on yandex mail.

i ticked the box for "Set my own SMTP parameters (for advanced users ONLY)" and then entered the following settings: SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com SMTP username: [email protected] SMTP password: myemailaddressespassword Encryption: TLS PORT 465. Konfiguracja TLS, test przez moduł konfiguracji SMTP działa bez problemu. Testowo robię zakupy i ponawiam wysłanie mejla do klienta (przez moduł Zamówienia).
