Hi there, I have been trying to send emails from my PS domain but haven't been able to do so since last about 2-days. Any help to fix this will highly be appreciated. When I try to send email using 'Sendmail', I am able to send emails to domains other than public domains like @gmail, @yahoo, @hotmail etc, which obviously isn't good and those two lands in SPAM folder not good. Now when I try to setup an SMTP account [ actually my email server is hosted separately from my domain ], to send emails even this fails. When I try setting up SSL [465] or TLS [587], I end up getting error Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username "nik****@nikpaul.com" using 2 possible authenticators. Authenticator LOGIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535 Incorrect authentication data ". Authenticator PLAIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535 Incorrect authentication data ". Can anybody help me, resolve this issue? TIA,

Hallo Zusammen, SMTP-Mail-Versand - geht das auch über Google? Ich verwende im Moment "sendgrid.net" - aber das wird mir auf Dauer zu teuer! Oder gibt es sonst noch einen guten Tipp? Vielen Dank vorab für Ihre Bemühungen. Beste Grüße Markus

Hello, I am using Prestashop 1.6.1.17 and for sending emails i am using SMTP. Below are the settings for the SMTP connection. The problem is that sometimes when Prestashop tries to send an email, the following error (Swift error) appears in the logs and the email fails to be sent. Why is this Swift error happening and what can i do to solve it ? Thank you, John

Hey, I just installed a new PS and have a problem with SMTP: SMTP - is configured well and test mail going thru with success result. Anyway workflow mails (for example confirmation for the customer) returns an error like: Swift Error: Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username \"[email protected]\" using 2 possible authenticators Im using ZOHO mail service. Installation type (new/update): new PrestaShop version: 1.7.0.6 Theme (default/customized): default Classic Code (original/modified): org PHP version: 7.0.15-0ubuntu0.16.04.4 MySQL version: 5.7.17-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 Do you have any ideas? thx Klifer

bonjour, je n'arrive pas à configurer on compte gmail (d'ailleurs le texte de l'aide qui propose une config ne fonctionne pas). После обновления на 1.5.6.0 перестала работать отправка почты. Не проходят даже тестовые письма, метод отправки SMTP. Соответственно перестали отправлятся все уведомления. На 1.5.5.0 всё работало великолепно, настройки теже самые. Какие мысли по этому поводу? Кто-то сталкивался?

Hello there! Well, I've been searching the forums about this, I have found some answers on one of the topics, but wanted to check a bit further on it. I have grouped them in this single thread because they are relatively "connected": 1. Advanced parameters > email: I have some time ago, configured the email preferences to include my own smtp data, all worked fine, I could receive mails from prestashop BUT: yesterday a customer could not remember her password and therefore clicked on "forgotten password" link in the account log-in page. The mail with password reset won't work, displaying an error message in pur shop's page. I just had to switch to PHP and everything works fine. My main point with this, is that I think I'm fine with that email configuration, but wanted to know if both customer and our data that might be includfed in mails is safe (encrypted messages?) 2. We've carried som tests with emails after this problem, and discovered that the messages sent by our store display at the footer a "powered by prestashop" after our store's name. Can that be removed? We already changed the index.php in SEO/URLs of the backoffice. 3. When a customer logs out of his account, an error occurs, and is redirected to a "page not found". Hi, No matter i used phpmail and tried to send a test mail i will always got error: for phpmail: Error: please check your configuration Sending failed using mail() as PHP's default mail() function returned boolean FALSE. for smtp: Error: please check your configuration The SMTP connection failed to start [ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465]: fsockopen returned Error Number 110 and Error String 'Connection timed out' any idea?
