I can not install Prestashop 1.6.0.9 on Bluehost VPS. 1st step (Choose your language): Changing language into another language is not affect the "Installation Assistant". Pages are still displaying in my national language. 5th step (System configuration): Clicking to the "Test your database connection now" button does not showing any result. Its not working. Clicking to "Next" button, opening the "installation process page" but installation is not starting. Showing a white blank area. I installed Prestashop 1.6.0.9 successfully on my localhost. I talked with Bluehost staff, they did not give a solution to me. Only listening. I tryed to install Prestashop 1.6.0.8 version too. Got the same result. Failed. I changed "mode_dev = true" > No error messages showing. The Prestashop ecommerce is one of the best and easiest program to install and use it. The Bluehost staff surprised me. I chat the staff several times and created several tickets. They all oblivious to my problem. They do not even solve the simplest topics. I regret. Any help would be highly appreciated..

Hi I am trying to install Prestashop. I have uploaded the contents of the "prestashop_1.6.0.9" folder to mysite.com/shop/. On the System Configuration option of the installation assistant I have entered the database information; clickin on the "test your database connection" does nothing. Clicking on Next goes to the Store Installation option but there is no sign of instalaltion process. I went through the installation process on Firefox & Google Chrome but still same issue. (screenshot attached) I am installing this on my Linux VPS. There is not problem with the database credentials as I have used the same database credentials to my test php database connection script which connects fine. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

Hello, I am just wondering if this is right. I have installed prestashop via 1 click install. Everything went fine, I can login to the backend but it displays some demo information like fake customers, products etc. I have selected 'OFF' under the Dashboard tab and then under Demo. But, I can still see recent orders from the fake customer. Is this supposed to happen? I am new to this and I was wondering if I need to connect it something else?? Any help is welcome.

I have downloaded prestashop file from the website and unzipped it. Shows me alot of folders...now what?? I saw on google that the steps are : I am stuck at number 3 - what is the FTP Client and where can i find the file manager?? In order to initiate the installation you should follow these steps: Download the Latest Release from the PrestaShop's official website. Extract the package locally on your computer. Upload the installation package via cPanel's File Manager or using an FTP client. Bear in mind that the uploaded package should reside under the public_html directory, which is the web root folder for your account, or alternatively under a subdirectory of it. Prior to initiating the installation, a new database should be created. Add the corresponding user to the database. You can easily do this following the MySQL Tutorial. How to install PrestaShop? After you have managed to upload the PrestaShop installation package in the desired directory, you can start with the installation itself. First you have to access the directory where you have uploaded the PrestaShop installation package. In case you have uploaded it directly under the public_html folder, it will be accessible directly via your domain name - http://yourdomainname.com; In case you have used a subdirectory, for example "presta", it will be accessible via http://yourdomainname.com/presta; If everything is done right, when you go to http://yourdomainname.com/presta you will see the following page:
