Hi there! I have discovered some strange problems with our url structure / friendly url. Overall its working but in certain cases it is not. Shop URL: https://cokocbd.com/ URL to product category: https://cokocbd.com/e-liquidos-28 URL to product: https://cokocbd.com/e-liquidos/super-skank-25 URL to product variant: https://cokocbd.com/e-liquidos/super-skank-25-107#/55-concentracion-300mg 1. Its not really a problem, i am just wondering: The URL to a category has "-28" attached to it. If i only visit "/e-liquidos" its no longer working. Thats normal right? 2. URLs to product variants are not working at all. In some cases like with the example given it links to a completely different product. In most other cases it goes to 404 like with this product variant URL: https://cokocbd.com/aceites-cannabis/valeo-care-51-374#/79-concentracion-1500mg As you can see, it is adding "-374" to the URL which causes it to no longer work. 3. When adding any product to the shopping cart, the link to the product is not working since its url is including the product variant and therefor it no longer works. 4. The Search Bar is not working because of that. If you search for any product, the suggestion box is using URLs to products that do not work. I guess it is because it is linking to product variants. Is there a solution to this? If not, is there a way to disable product variants showing up in the URL? That would fix it i guess. Prestashop 1.5.2, fresh install. Not having friendly url activated gives me the following URL to images: http://www.xxxxx.no/img/c/6-category_default.jpg Having friendly url activated gives me the following: http://www.xxxxx.no/...ential-oils.jpg This results in images with a ? showing everywhere except for the logo. Under the 'SEO & URL' section, trying to setup "Friently URL" for the domain - I see a message URL rewriting (mod_rewrite) is not active on your server, or it is not possible to check your server configuration. If you want to use Friendly URLs, you must activate this mod. I am using other domains [most of them using WordPress], so am sure that the mod_rewrite is enabled BUT somehow Prestashop [the only Prestashop install on this server]is not able to check it from the server. Expected behavior The settings on that page are used to recreate the .htaccess in the root folder, which is not being generated due to the problem as stated above. Hi, I think I have a problem with the friendly URL. Every time I upload new changes to my repository, the web page shows an "Internal server error". To make it disappear I have to go to the backoffice, disable de friendly URL and enable it again. I was hoping that someone could tell me why is this happening and maybe give me a solution so that I won't have to do this process each time. Thanks

Hi, I've installed PS1.6 in Polish language than added French but URL's for login, cart, etc. didn't translated. So I translated it by myself in SEO & URL and now my cart doesn't work properly, when I want to go further to login/address info I can't it will redirect me back to cart. When I turn off friendly url than it works OK. I've done this couple of times with other languages and I can't remember that I had those kind of problems. Any ideas? Thank you

I have prestashop multistore with 1.7 and friendly urls enabled. Hello everyone, I've upgraded to version 1.6.1.18 and I realised the top navigation urls are broken when I enable the feature Friendly URL. Basically, all the category pages show a 404 but if I click directly to the product everything is fine. I did already quite a lot of research and I could not find a working solution. Any idea is much appreciated. Thank you! M

Hi, I enabled Friendly URL in my 1.4.6.2 installation of PrestaShop, but I need to remove the .html extension from product pages (to improve SEO). I tried to modify the .htaccess file but with no success so far. Can anyone please provide a solution for this? Thank you

Bonjour a tous, j'ai un problème sur mon prestashop 1.7.6.1. les images des produits ne s'affiche pas dans le front ni dans le back office. Mes images sont bien la car elle s'affiche si on clique sur le bouton pour zoomer dessus. J'ai lu sur quelque forums que le paramètre "friendly-URL" pourrait poser problème mais cette option n’apparaît pas dans mon back office. je suis novice avec prestashop et tout ce qui l'entoure. L’URL du site posant problème est : www.dragonfly-shop.be

I followed the manual to set up the media server on back office. 1) After importing product to prestashop, I copy and upload all the three required folders such as /img, /theme, and /module to another server. 2) Set up the 'Media server' by adding domain name of the new server where I uploaded the images to "Media server#1". 3) Then, all the images beside logo and top banner are not displayed. 4) If I turn off the 'Friendly URL', the images back to be displayed. It's quite obvious that rewriting image URL is the issue, but I don't know how to fix this issue. 5) I also tried to turn functions in CCC, but it cause more problem like all css or js are not being loaded. As far I as know, Friendly URL is what matters to SEO and more readable for users as well. So, I need both of them functional. What should I do?

Good day, I am a newbe with PrestaShop 1.7.4. Building my website in PrestaShop I try to translate the url's in SEO&Traffic to my language. After translating it and press Save, I do receive the message "the field url_rewrite is invalid". However the friendly url button is 'on', and, after checking my .htaccess, the mod_rewrite is also 'on'. After reading a lot of information this seems to be a message that shouldn't occur. Καλημέρα σας, Ήθελα να ρωτήσω αναπτύσσω ένα eshop όπου έγιναν import χιλιάδες προϊόντα ( ~ 3500) πολύ καλά και σωστά σε Presta 1.7.5.1 με ελληνικά ονόματα προϊόντων και κατηγοριών αλλά ο πελάτης μου ζήτησε τα friendly urls να είναι όλα σε greeklish τόσο σε κατηγορίες όσο και σε προϊόντα. Είναι σαφές ότι ένα ένα δε γίνονται. Υπάρχει κάποιο πρόσθετο που να κάνει μαζική μετατροπή από ελληνικά urls σε Greeklish; Ή έστω κάποιες SQL εντολές να εκτελεστούν μέσω phpmyadmin; Ευχαριστώ εκ των προτέρων.

We are using Prests Shop version 1.5.1.0 at http://www.game4u.com/projectnew/. As you can see none of images are getting displayed. Friendly URL is Yes for projectnew application. When we turn off Friendly URL, all project images show properly. Product images stop showing once friendly URL is turned on. (Attached: friendlyURLon.jpg) We have defined custom image types and we arent using any of the default image types. (Attached: customimages.jpg) We tried generating thumbnails but that also didnt work. We added _default also at the end of all custom image type names but that also didnt work. Images and image folders are properly getting generated. Image URL is "http://www.game4u.com/projectnew/img/p/9/8/8/7/9887-home_left_thumb.jpg" without friendly URL enabled. We checked and the folder structure is also created properly. Image URL is "http://www.game4u.com/projectnew/9887-home_left_thumb/splinter-cell-six-blacklist.jpg" with friendly URL enabled. I checked with the original installation also and there also friendly URL is getting created in similar way so .htaccess rules are proper. We also tried regenerating .htaccess many times but still product images arent getting displayed. You can check the website without friendly URL enabled at http://www.game4u.com/. How do we rectify this issue? Do we need to change the .htaccess rules? We are using Linux Server with Apache. Urgent reply awaited. Regards, Abhijeet

After a fresh install of 1.7.4.4 all sample product images are not shown, Create a new product and also did not display the product photo. If I switch and turned off friendly urls then the product images are shown also the new one I just added, but when I turn the friendly urls on again the images disappear again. The links works good, I really want to use the friendly url for better SEO but I cannot make it works as expected. Buenas, estoy con prestashop 1.6.1.5 y en mi home estoy mostrando los últimos posts (latest news), Cuando intento entrar en uno de ellos, no se muestra el contenido. Sin embargo si pongo en Seo&URL que no sean url friendly, se muestran. Los posts están con el módulo Smartblog. Espero que puedan ayudarme. Gracias

Nel mio sito dopo aver trasferito prestashop da una cartella di test alla root principale, ho un problema. Se i friendly url sono attivi la ricerca non funziona mentre se disattivo l'opzione Friendly url la ricerca funziona perfettamente. Il mio sito è su Aruba e la versione di prestashop è la 1.7.2.4. Avete qualche idea su come risolvere?

Friendly URL stopped working for login page. "Moved" Prestashop in Apache config from www.kunnskap.no/butikk/ to www.kunnskap.no Turned Friendly URL off and on to recompile .htaccess. Friendly URL for login page is not working. Before moving Prestashop from www.kunnskap.no/butikk to www.kunnskap.no, it worked perfectly. Moved shop in Apache config/root directory for domain name, installation still in "domain name/butikk/ directory. Everything else still works perfectly with friendly URL, only URL for login page is not working. Internal Server Error: https://www.kunnskap.no/login?back=my-account When turning Friendly URL off, everything works fine. Appreciate help.

Dear developers, I've been trying to create a second option of url rewrites to a product. In the standard Prestashop installation at the SEO & URL's section i've got the following products url build-up: {category:/}{id}-{rewrite}-{ean13}.html This creates the following products url: https://www.example.com/{category-name}/{product-id}/{product-name}/{ean13}.html What i would like to add is an option for various reasons to acces a products page through the following url build up: ean/{ean13}.html The result url would be something like the following example: https://www.example.com/ean13/{ean13}.html Is there a module, addon, or piece of code out there that would be able to generate these kind of structures? I did find some "Remove ID's from pretty url's" modules but that doesn't give me the result i'm searching for. Only partially since it only removes the ID's. It wouldn't be a problem if it's a redirect to the standard url build up as mentioned in the first {code} segment. I know i could write rewrite rules in my .htacces file but to do this for every product would be a lot of work so i was wondering if there is a more easy way of achieving this. Hello, I have PrestaShop V1.6.1.11, I can not see the Product Images when Enable Friendly URL from backoffice. I have also upgraded my PrestaShop Version to V1.6.1.18 (latest 16) but still the error is same. I have followed all the previous forum topics to solve this but no one helps me. Ciao a tutti, vorrei capire quale fosse la soluzione migliore per rendere gli url del sito e sopratutto dei prodotti il più frinedly possibile. Ho letto e ho ricevuto diversi consigli che vanno in contrasto l'uno con l'altro perciò chiedo parere alla comunity su quali sono secondo voi le soluzioni migliori che si possono implementare per dare a google un url legibile. Alcuni dicono di installare dei moduli come alcuni che si trovano nell'addons, non ho problemi a comprare il modulo più famoso ma ho dei dubbi in quanto alcuni esperti del settore mi hanno consigliato l'acquisto di determinati moduli, ma in divverse discussioni a cui ho assistiti veniva puntualizzato che qualsiasi modulo per modificare gli url faccia più danni che altro e che non aporta alcun beneficio in termini di seo se non penalizzazioni. Avendo un url al prodotto simile a questo https://www.miosito.it/fiori-secchi/3-18-rosa-nera-cm-15.html#/1-cm-15/7-spine-no/8-selezione-fiori/21-peso-2 dovuto ai vari atributi associati l'ideale sarebbe avere url simile a questo https://www.miosito.it/fiori-secchi/rosa-nera-cm-15.html o meglio https://www.miosito.it/fiori-secchi/rosa-nera-cm-15 per ottenere un risultato simile come pensate che sia meglio comportarsi, acquisto modulo o intervento a mano? e in caso di intervento a mano quale sarebbe la procedura corretta per non creare disastri?
