Hello, I'm trying to remove the "Free" in the shopping cart text. It shows as free even when a customer is logged in until choosing their shipping address. After a lot of research I am unable to use the same solutions used in previous versions of Prestashop. I've been looking at the back office translations and I found one expression marked "Free" but it has no description and changing it did not seem to help. Beyond that I have been looking through my theme files and I'm just not proficient enough a coder to find the reference file. Can someone please offer some help with this?

Where are the translations located for the word "Free" in the Ajax Cart and on the Checkout pages. Looked everywhere, but I could not find it. How to change "Free" to something else, and keep this when upgrading? Thanks for the help. Version used of PS: Prestashop 1.7.2.4 (stable branche, or so they say...)

Change 'free' text in shipping amount in order-detail.tpl
elainelow posted a topic in General topics
Not too sure where to classify this so here we go! Currently using: PrestaShop 1.7.2.2 In my website, all carriers have been marked to have Free Shipping with no handling charge because customers will only need to pay the shipping fee to the courier when they have received their goods. However, when customers view details of their transactions in their order history in their account, they will see Shipping & Handling: Free Therefore, in order-detail.tpl, I have attempted to change {$line.shipping_cost} to {l s= "<text>"}, but it has not worked. I have also changed the translation for 'Free' from the admin panel to <text>, but it has not worked either. Any idea why? -
Hi, i have a problem with free shipping. I set up a carrier with weight range like this: and i set up free shipping: but when i add the product to the cart and the total order is over 70€ the shipping cost remain: why? what am I doing wrong? thanks

shipping cost per weight combined with price
Armin posted a topic in Looking for a module or a theme
Hi, I am trying to setup the following shipping costs (from Belgium, only delivery in Europe): - shipping per weight: I would need an extra shipping cost for orders above 30 kilo, also extra costs above 40, 60, 70 kilo - shipping per price: I would like to offer free shipping for orders above 99 EURO but only if the weight is below 30 kilo Is this combination possible with the included prestashop shipping module? Thank you for any advice. Regards Armin -
I got a problem and do not know how to fix. My cart does not add shipping costs and keep showing "free shipping". Tried it all and all configurations. Now they are as: I got a web cafedelospueblos.com in Spain with a major carrier Correos. Dowloaded their module. Followed their instructions to set their module. Set Spain under Europe zone. Created 4 zones according to their instructions and put each province in the respective zone I created, and under Spain as a country. I am charging my clients what correos charges me. Prices are based on the zones and by kilo, increasing by each kilo. So, if my client order up to 1 kilo, cost is X. If client orders from 1kg to 2kg, price is Y, if client orders 2kg to 3kg, cost is Z. I set a weight for each product (under products / shipping / packet dimension). And because I have combinations for each product ( combinations are: 200gr / 400gr 900gr), I set impact on weight for each combination. So, if someone order 3 products of 400gr, it will reach the 1kg to 2kg price range using the impact. My shipping preferences are set as: free shipping starts at euro 1.000.000 and 10.000kgs (even if I put 0 for both, the system does not compute shipping at cart, continues showing "free shipping") default carrier set by price (I only have correos as carrier) Sort by price Order by ascending My carriers are select, (the premium correos and the standar correos under shipping / carriers) and configured properly by ranges as of: no handling charges no free shipping billing according to total weight out of range behavior disable carrier all client groups are selected I guess i got nothing else to do. Am I missing something? One wired behavior happened: when by accident i set Spain under one of the zones I created, the cart added shipping costs, but only one range, not more ranges if I added over 1kg order. Besides, if I continue checking out my order, right before payment it says: "There is no carrier available for order" (and I have the carrier selected). So, all messed up. Anybody can give me a light?

Hello, My free shipping does not calculate final price (base price + impact on price) for products with combinations, It only calculates the base price to all combinations. I set the free shipping to 500 lei at Shipping/Carrier/My carrier/2 Shipping locations and costs EX: Product test: 100g = 200 lei (base price) 500g = base price + impact 400 lei = 600 lei If I put in the basket 1xProduct test 500g, the Subtotal price it`s 600 lei but add`s shipping fee. Only if I put 3 x Product test 500g remove shipping cost. Thanks

SOLVED! UPDATED. Somehow I figured out how to fix my issue. I went back and made sure my carriers were set up correctly. I did not have an out of range behavior set for each. After creating the range for each carrier and configuring my FREE shipping to be applied for any order over $75 , the delivery options returned in checkout screen and the FREE shipping is applied for orders over $75. I also deleted all measurements/ weights limits for my carrier options. I do not know which change worked but it seems like I fixed my issue. My customers have experienced an error message during checkout after I applied a catalog discount to a few different item catagories in my shop. The error is "Unfortunately, there are no carriers available for your delivery address." I haven't been able to resolve the issue without making shipping FREE for all carrier options. I would like to know if there is a patch or some other step I am missing to allow the catalog discount by % on select items and still charge for shipping up to $75 but still allow any orders $75 and over to receive FREE shipping. Can someone please look at this for me? If you would like to troubleshoot my page my shop is https://www.jewelrybyjamie.com Thank you.

Prestashop 1.6.1.7

Hi, I'm not able to disable free shipping. A carrier was added so that shipping costs are added below € 100,-, but the transport is shown but not charged. As you can see here. Any tips? Thx, Filip

In prestashop backoffice, I'm able to set free shipping from above $50 through shipping preference. sadly, I can't change shipping preference as per groups. What I want is: normally there won't be any shipping cost for cart price over $100 but for group X cart price should be above $180 to get a free shipping. Is that possible or do i have to dig into core files to make changes..

Is there a way that I can get free shipping for specific payment methods like a credit card or bank ? Thanks for any answer

Setup 1.16.1.19 , default prestashop Shipping , no add on module. 1) We have products which are packed in glass bottles and need special packing. hence Additional shipping fees (for a single item) in the products -> shipping tab "10" is added per item. 2) Shipping slabs as per weight are set eg. 50 for 0.0000001 to <= 0.500 , 100 for <0.500 to <= 1.000 and so on 3) Free Shipping over 800 cart value. Issue :- 1) when the Cart value hits the threshold of 800, the Shipping becomes Free. This is correct. however 2) the Additional Shipping of 10 on any such product also becomes 0 - This is incorrect. example :- Cart has Product A * 3 @ 40 Rs , Product B * 1 @ 70 Rs, Product C * 5 @ 100 Rs Over All weight is 0.0000001 to <= 0.500 That is 50 Rs shipping Only Product A and Product B need Special Packing. Hence Additional Shipping fee of 10 per product quantity is charged. Product A* 3 = 120Rs + 30 Additional fees Product B * 1 = 70Rs + 10 Additional Fees Product C * 5 = 500Rs + No special packing No Additional Fees --------------------------------------- Products 690 ( Threshold of 800 not met ) Shipping 50 + Additional Fees 40 = 90 Shipping Charges Total 780 This is Correct Now when the customer adds More products and hits the free shipping threshold of 800 Addtional Product A * 3 = 120Rs + 30 Additional fees Now the Cart Looks like :- Product A * 6 = 240 Rs + 60 Additional fees Product B * 1 = 70 Rs + 10 Additional Fees Product C * 5 = 500 Rs + No special packing No Additional Fees --------------------------------------- Products 810 ( Threshold of 800 free shipping is met ) Shipping 0 + Additional Fees 0 = 0 Shipping Charges Total 810 This is NOT Correct What We Expect as per Policy :- Products 810 ( Threshold of 800 free shipping is met ) Shipping 0 Additional Fees 70 Total 880

Hello, Under Prestashop 1.5.4, I have three carriers and FREE SHIPPING over $99. I need to disable two carriers and just enable one carrier, as I can't ship for free in express. So, I just edited the Cart.php with the following code (note that this only reflects one carrier): // Free fees $disable_freeshipping = array('7'); $free_fees_price = 0; if (isset($configuration['PS_SHIPPING_FREE_PRICE'])) $free_fees_price = Tools::convertPrice((float)$configuration['PS_SHIPPING_FREE_PRICE'], Currency::getCurrencyInstance((int)$this->id_currency)); $orderTotalwithDiscounts = $this->getOrderTotal(true, Cart::BOTH_WITHOUT_SHIPPING, null, null, false); if ($orderTotalwithDiscounts >= (float)($free_fees_price) && (float)($free_fees_price) > 0 && !in_array($id_carrier, $disable_freeshipping)) { Cache::store($cache_id, $shipping_cost); return $shipping_cost; } if (isset($configuration['PS_SHIPPING_FREE_WEIGHT']) && $this->getTotalWeight() >= (float)$configuration['PS_SHIPPING_FREE_WEIGHT'] && (float)$configuration['PS_SHIPPING_FREE_WEIGHT'] > 0 && !in_array($id_carrier, $disable_freeshipping)) { Cache::store($cache_id, $shipping_cost); return $shipping_cost; } However, it is messing everything up and now I got either a blank page or can't add any product to cart. Could you help me figure out the right code under Prestashop 1.5.4 so that I can disable two carriers for free shipping? Thank you in advance!

Hi, Here the problem, if it is... 1) Carrier setup : the cost is set to 0€ when cart cost over 89€ 2) Cart : I add to cart a product of 89,10€. The shipping cost show me Free so it works 3) Voucher : I add a voucher code of -7€, so the cart cost 82,10€ now, and the shipping cost show me Free. 4) Carrier selection : I choose my carrier announced like Free. Then the carrier cost show me 4,90€ and the resume page show me 4,90€ too. Is there the core reaction or a bug ? If it's good, why the shipping cost is not reload when we add the voucher ? And if it's not good, why the choice of carrier reload the price ? Someone had the same issue ? I'm in a PS 1.6.1.4 Regards

Hi Guys, I need to set free shipping only for the UK and he rest of the world different prices! So I have an issue with setting a free shipping for only one country. I am based in the UK therefore I would like to offer a free shipping to customers within the UK but apply shipping charges for different continents. I can set the price for different continents but I cannot set the prices for the UK specifically. The shipping => carriers have only Europe option which is not very suitable for my business as I offer free shipping to UK but not to France or Belgium for instance. Thanks and happy easter.

Dear All I already posted something similar into the generals forum but it might be at the wrong place there as I cannot get any answers. I have the problem that we offer shipping (eco and prio) with and without tracking. So speaking of four carriers. I have to add 12.- to the carriers with tracking possibility. So I have added base prices inside the carrier for all the carriers (7.-). And added handling charges to the carriers with tracking (12.-). Now we want to offer free shipping starting at 100.- cart value. BUT: Free shipping also removes the handling costs (which I totally cannot understand as they might have nothing to do with the carrier or shipping itself, at least an option should be given if free shipping also affects the handling costs) Is there a way (maybe in cart.php) to exclude the handling costs from the free shipping? I just haven't seem to be able to find a way yet. You probably have deeper knowledge of the core code If you can only point me in direction of a file, maybe a function name, that should already be enough. Any help would be much appreciated because atm we are loosing a little bit of money as we don't wanna get rid of free shipping, but cannot charge 12.- for tracking orders... Ty Very Much OIi

Hi, I'm having problems with how the shipping rate is applied at the checkout and would like some imput from the experts. I'm currently offering free shipping on orders over €35 and €1.95 for orders under €35. However, if there is a promotion (for example, 3 for 2) the shipping cost is still being calculated based on the original cart total, not the final figure. For example: Now: customer buys 3 products, €15 each, on 3 for 2 promotion. The product total before promotion is €45, so the free shipping is added to the order. Then the cart shows a deduction of €15 on 3 for 2, so the order total is now €30 (and this is what the customer pays) but the shipping is still free. Should be: As the final payment amount is below the free shipping threashold, the €1.95 charge must be added. Basically, I need to configure the shipping cost so that it's added last, after applications of discounts, vouchers, promotions, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Free shipping is now showing up in the cart no matter what. I have altered translations in front office to show $0.00 instead, but free shipping continues to appear in the drop down cart and pop-up cart. Under shipping/preferences I set free shipping to 0 to disable it, but still free shipping appears. Does anyone have a clue as to how to fix this? I don't want to change a template, because the next update will negate the edited template. Thank you for your help.

Use this code to exclude specific categories from counting to the total necessary for free shipping. Part of this code can be also used to add to your cart a line with something like "Remaining amount in order to obtain free shipping:" Most of the code was taken from here, but also here. Works on prestashop 1.5.6.2. First, define the value for "Free shipping starts at" in Shipping/Shipping of the Backoffice. This would include every category and product. If you sell, for example, virtual products and physical products you might want to exclude the virtual products from counting to the total necessary for free shipping. Let's assume you want to exclude category A, B and C from the free shipping calculation. Backup and edit classes/cart.php: - in line 2681, bellow "// Free fees" and before "$free_fees_price = 0;" add: //Use this to select the categories. $categoryA[0]['id_category'] = A; $categoryB[0]['id_category'] = B; $categoryC[0]['id_category'] = C; $no_free_shipping = 0; foreach ($products AS $product) { //Check if added product is in selected categories and totalize. if (Product::idIsOnCategoryId((int) ($product['id_product']), $categoryA)) { $no_free_shipping += $product['price_wt']*$product['cart_quantity']; } if (Product::idIsOnCategoryId((int) ($product['id_product']), $categoryB)) { $no_free_shipping += $product['price_wt']*$product['cart_quantity']; } if (Product::idIsOnCategoryId((int) ($product['id_product']), $categoryC)) { $no_free_shipping += $product['price_wt']*$product['cart_quantity']; } } This is for 3 categories. Substitute A, B and C for the id_category numbers. Delete unnecessary code or copy if needed. - Substitute line 2685 (now 2704) if ($orderTotalwithDiscounts >= (float)($free_fees_price) && (float)($free_fees_price) > 0)for (($orderTotalwithDiscounts - $no_free_shipping) >= (float)($free_fees_price) && (float)($free_fees_price) > 0) - In line 2842 (now 2861), after "public function checkDiscountValidity...{...}" and before "public function getSummaryDetails..." add: public function no_free_shipping($no_free_shipping) { $products = $this->getProducts(); //Use this to select the categories. $categoryA[0]['id_category'] = A; $categoryB[0]['id_category'] = B; $categoryC[0]['id_category'] = C; $no_free_shipping = 0; foreach ($products AS $product) { //Check if added product is in selected categories and totalize. if (Product::idIsOnCategoryId((int) ($product['id_product']), $categoryA)) { $no_free_shipping += $product['price_wt']*$product['cart_quantity']; } if (Product::idIsOnCategoryId((int) ($product['id_product']), $categoryB)) { $no_free_shipping += $product['price_wt']*$product['cart_quantity']; } if (Product::idIsOnCategoryId((int) ($product['id_product']), $categoryC)) { $no_free_shipping += $product['price_wt']*$product['cart_quantity']; } } return $no_free_shipping; } Again, adapt category numbers. - In line 2945 (now 2989) after "return array(" add: 'amount_until_free_shipping' => ((Tools::convertPrice((float)(Configuration::get('PS_SHIPPING_FREE_PRICE')))) - ($total_products_wt - $total_discounts - $this->no_free_shipping(isset($no_free_shipping)))), Now, backup and edit themes/<your theme>/shopping-cart.tpl: - After line 146, between the two "{/if}" add: <tr class="shipping_free_price"> <td colspan="5"><span class="shipping_free_price">{l s='Remaining amount in order to obtain free shipping*:'}</span><br /> <span class="free_ship_except">{l s='*except ABC' mod="blockcart"}</span></td> <td colspan="2" class="price" id="amount_until_free_shipping" >{displayPrice price=$amount_until_free_shipping}</td></tr> Adapt your text (categories!). Finally, backup and edit themes/<your theme>/js/cart-summary.js: - Substitute this code (I believe it's obsolete): if (json.free_ship > 0 && !json.is_virtual_cart) { $('.cart_free_shipping').fadeIn(); $('#free_shipping').html(formatCurrency(json.free_ship, currencyFormat, currencySign, currencyBlank)); } else $('.cart_free_shipping').hide(); for this one: if (json.amount_until_free_shipping > 0 && !json.is_virtual_cart) { $('.shipping_free_price').fadeIn(); $('#amount_until_free_shipping').html(formatCurrency(json.amount_until_free_shipping, currencyFormat, currencySign, currencyBlank)); } else $('.shipping_free_price').hide(); And that's it! Let me know if it's working fine. Cheers! Alex PS: There are one limitation with this code: it does not calculate properly if you have discounts (vouchers/cart rules) for the selected categories.
