I have a store set up with 4 languages (EN, FR, DE, ES). I want to format all the currencies to use the decimal point as decimal separator rather than comma as is used for French, German and Spanish as this is causing an error relating to Google Merchant Centre. (see image) Is there any way to format the currencies so that they read €1,234.00 rather than €1,234,00? When going into International > Location > Currencies then only format choices include the , (see image). Set-up: PS Version - 1.7.8.7. PHP - 7.3.29. It's probably something obvious that I'm missing.

Hi All, Greetings of the day. The prestashop addon allows us to automatically change store currency and language as per visitors' country locations. When visitor changes language respective currency changes automatically. Geolocation (GeoIP) Currency & language Redirect Users Automatically The module shows the prices of products as per the latest exchange rates. All store pages will have updated currency prices and language as per visitors' locations. The administration can choose to enable or disable currency and language auto-change features. Also, change the default store currency and language from the module management page. Showing product prices in the home currency of customers, and visitors are helpful and friendly to them. It helps in conversion rates, helps to get new customers, increase sales, and helps customer and visitors in decision making on the product purchase. The way the IP-based geolocation works is simply by checking which IP range is used by which area, using an IP-to-location database. So, we can find the information like the country users come from, just by knowing their IP address. There are two parts to increasing sales: 1) Increasing the number of visitors to your website and 2) Increasing the conversion rate of existing visitors. There has been a large focus on part 2 recently, increasing the conversion rate. This is primarily because this technique is virtually free as it makes use of existing resources on your site. Why spend tens of thousands of dollars getting traffic to your site when the conversion rate is low? By now we must have seen plenty of big companies and global organizations including Google themselves who use geo-based redirection to take visitors to local pages. For example, if we type ‘google.com’ in our browser from the UK, it will auto redirect to ‘google.co.uk’. This is the simplest example of geo-based redirection by Google itself. When the module does not find suitable currency and language as per visitors' location then default currency and language will be used. - Better Marketing Opportunity - More Qualified Leads - More Credibility - Reduce expenses - Increase sales - Improve customer service and loyalty - Customer convenience - Competitive advantages - Expand market reach - Proactive outreach - Real-time Convenience to Customers - Cost-Efficient - Stand Out Among Competitors - Higher Chances of Ranking on SERPs - Better Click through Rates Features: - Automatically detects the visitor’s location, and set store currency, and language. - The facility to have currency change automatically when visitors change their language. - Facility to change store default currency and language from back-office. - Helps in conversion rates - It helps in SEO. - It helps in getting new customers and increases sales. - Fully responsive 100%. - SEO friendly. - Support all browsers: Firefox, Chrome, IE, Safari, etc. - Increase sales, conversion rates, and product promotions. - Maintain existing customers & Attract new customers. - Lower marketing expenses, exposure to potential customers, and reach targeted audiences. - Compatible with PrestaShop 1.5.x,1.6.x,1.7.x and 8.0. - Multiple browsers compatibility(IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, and Edge). - Mobile, Tablet, and all devices compatible. - Multi-language and Multi Store compatible. - Module works without making any change in the existing files on PrestaShop store versions. - 24*7 Support - Good Documentation Benefits to Customers : - It helps to increase customer understanding and knowledge about the store. - Easy to remember product prices in their country s currency and language. - It helps to find a store on search engines using the native language. - Customer s trust in online store improvement. - Better customer service. - It helps to get good reviews and ratings as the customer feels comfortable with the native language, and currency. - Saves customers time in the conversion of foreign currency in the native currency. - Customers trust your products & services. - Customers find a store as per their country s location, currency, and shipment facility. Hi, I present to you a recent development to manage customers and addresses with a VAT number valid for intra-community operations and to be exempt from paying VAT. The module is Advanced VAT Manager in sale in Prestashop addons. The Advanced VAT Manager module is the most advanced module with the most features developed for Prestashop, manages customers' VAT numbers in an advanced way so that they are exempt from paying taxes if they have a valid VAT number for intra-community operations, through the official VIES or GOV.UK systems for UK numbers. It also has many configuration options and a scanning system to check the VAT numbers of customers that are already registered in the database and to check that they still have a valid VAT number. Tax-free purchase invoices will be generated for all customers with valid VAT numbers within the European Union. In addition, this module is updated with the latest regulations on intra-community operations and Brexit. You have an option to activate the Brexit system so that customers with addresses in the United Kingdom pay the tax in the store for purchases equal to or less than 135 Pounds. For purchases of a higher amount, they will be exempt from taxes. It is also provided with an option to PROHIBIT the placing of orders whose amount is greater or less than 135 Pounds. The module has an option to check the company name inserted by the client, with the company name registered in the official system in relation to the issued VAT number. In case the company name is not correct, it does not allow the registration of that address. On the other hand, there is an option for the system itself to complete the company field with the real name registered in the official VIES or GOV.UK system. If you want to try the module before purchasing it, you can enter the demo store that we have available for this module and all the modules that we sell in Prestashop Addons. MAIN FEATURES The validation process is carried out in the address forms of the front-office and in the Back-office. Selection of the countries in which you want the VAT numbers to be validated. Brexit compliant £135 threshold. Option to not allow purchases above or below 135 GBP. Format validation system and through the official platform VIES or GOV.UK. Option to insert the VAT number of the merchant to perform the 2-way validation. Customization of legal texts and invoice notes (Multi-language). Smart and strict validation mode. Company name validation option. Option to auto-insert the registered name of the company in the "company" field of the address form. Option to allow duplicate VAT numbers from different customers. Hello All, I have couple of questions regarding Currency & Tax (i'm using version 1.7.6.5) 1. Is there any way I can get the currency display to change automatically based on the customers location?. e.g. Somebody visits from the US the prices are displayed in USD, from EU display in EUR and UK display in GBP etc. 2. in addition, i sell virtual products and use the EU virtual tax rule which changes the relevant tax on at the cart based on delivery address. Is there any way i can display the tax included price in the store based on GEO location. This will be different depending on where the customer is located. If this is not possible can i display the tax excluded price in the store and add tax at checkout Many thanks

In PrestaShop 1.7, the currency parameters (currency symbol, its location before or after the price, the presence of a space, decimal places) are rigidly spelled out and there is no possibility to change them, as in earlier versions. This module actually returns this functionality to the PrestaShop 1.7. After installing the module in the section "Payment -> Currency signs" you can create the price display rule, for each currency existing in the store, in which the following currency settings are defined: currency symbol currency format (like dollar or euro) decimal places the presence of a space between the symbol and the amount Rules can be enabled / disabled. Compatibility: ver. 1.7.x Multylanguages: English, Russian, German, French Version: 1.0.1 (06/06/2021) Addons link: https://addons.prestashop.com/en/international-localization/51996-editing-currency-settings.html Screenshots:

Hi This is in regards to the multi currency option in the localisation section. I rin a webstore based out of UAE and have a drop down of 3 currencies on home page - USD / SAR / AED. however when a customer uses the SAR / USD as the chosen currency the payment is not going through the payment gateway - the card module does not load up. We are using the mastercard payment gateway. My question is - is this an inherent problem or can i fix it by buying a multi currency module as an Add on module. I basically want multiple curremcies to show as a drop down like in a shopify platform and on check out it should come back to the default currency AED for the payment to go through. Appreciate if anyone can help us out on this. Attaching the screen recorder for your reference. 20200923_142237_1_Trim 2.mp4 Untitled_3.mp4

PayPal express checkout and pay with credit card methods have a strange issue with gift wrapping costs The store has 4 currencies, all the values in the cart are getting converted correctly except the gift wrapping price. Did anyone encounter this issue? PayPal didn't set the "covertPrice" method's parameter convert to true. public function formatPrice($price) { $context = Context::getContext(); $context_currency = $context->currency; $paypal = Module::getInstanceByName('paypal'); if ($paypal->needConvert()) { $price = Tools::convertPrice($price, $context_currency, false); } $price = number_format($price, Paypal::getDecimal(), ".", ''); return $price; } If I change it to true, that converts the currency value to selected currency, I get error code 0 the last step of checkout.

How I can change default currency view from PKR to Rs.
Adnan Kamboh posted a topic in General topics
Hi, I'm from pakistan. I have an online store on pristashop. Currency of pakistan is Pakistani Rupees. On Prestashop store the product price is not showing in good way due to default currency extension. Let suppose if the product price is 550. it shows PKR550.00 which is very bad.... it should be like Rs. 550 Both pictures showed in attachment. other ecommerce shows like this. space after Rs. Can anyone help me about this how I can fix this big issue. -
Greetings PS community, I'm a relatively new PHP dev with zero experience in Prestashop, I've only been using it for a week. With my project, I'm trying to add a few currencies, modifying the currency's displayName & symbol to something else in translations/cldr/main--en-US--currencies, then allow users to choose which currency in the Front Office except for the default currency, which is USD. The error that I encountered (as in the attachment), was after I've modified the classes/controllers/FrontController.php file. I've changed the original code on line 350 in the file from this : $currency = Tools::setCurrency($this->context->cookie); to this : $currency = Currency::getCurrencyInstance(i); * the "i" represents number from 1 - 6, which were the id for the currencies I've added. The error occurs after I switched the code back to the original code & have multiple currencies enabled. I really have no clue how to get it to work as it were before. If you can tell what went wrong or if you need more information, please let me know. Thank you for taking your time to read this. UPDATE : The ContectErrorException no longer shows when Debug Mode is disabled but I am still unable to change currency & I would get Error 502. I'd also get this in the nginx error log : 2019/01/17 15:49:16 [error] 697#697: *3693 FastCGI sent in stderr: "PHP message: PHP Notice: Undefined index: current in Hi There, I am using PS 1.7 for while, recently a customer raised a concern about confusion on our price. Our online shop (https://cop9gun.com/prshop175) display either US Dollar or Hongkong Dollar. Customers are able to select which currency they prefer, BOTH use "$" as currency symbol. However, Without currency label, customers confused the actual amount .... I would like to know how to change "$" into "US$" for US Dollar and "HK$" for Hongkong Dollar. In fact, I browse online and found topic to change "...translations/cldr/main--en-US--currencies ... I tried and clear cache, but no effect at all... Any comment/help would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks in advance !

Saluti

Hello everyone, I need help with my online store. I use PrestaShop 1.7.6.2 and I want to add new currency ( Albanian Lek (ALL) ). When I try to add this currency I become this error: An unexpected error occurred. [PrestaShop\PrestaShop\Core\Domain\Currency\Exception\CurrencyException code 0] Where can the problem be ? How can I handle this error ? What does this error means? I have to add this currency otherwise I can't sell in my store. P.S I can add other currencies without problems and they also work in front end store. The problem happens only with Albanian Lek (ALL) that cannot be added. This is my online store emia.shop Thank you in advance!
