When visitor changes language respective currency changes automatically. Geolocation (GeoIP) Currency & language Redirect Users Automatically The module shows the prices of products as per the latest exchange rates. All store pages will have updated currency prices and language as per visitors' locations. The administration can choose to enable or disable currency and language auto-change features. Also, change the default store currency and language from the module management page. Showing product prices in the home currency of customers, and visitors are helpful and friendly to them. The way the IP-based geolocation works is simply by checking which IP range is used by which area, using an IP-to-location database. So, we can find the information like the country users come from, just by knowing their IP address. The module is Advanced VAT Manager in sale in Prestashop addons. The Advanced VAT Manager module is the most advanced module with the most features developed for Prestashop, manages customers' VAT numbers in an advanced way so that they are exempt from paying taxes if they have a valid VAT number for intra-community operations, through the official VIES or GOV.UK systems for UK numbers. I have a feeling this will be quite a simple one but I need to pull the the delivery address to a theme file (more specifically the country or country id) and I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I found this topic that explains it in some detail but I'm not sure where exactly in the cart file the code needs to be added: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/372465-get-id-country-value-from-cart-id-address-delivery/ And I also found a thread where someone wanted to add it into the payment hook: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/243717-get-shipping-address-in-payment-module/ Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. If you'd like some context on why I need this, I'm using a cloudflare CDN and because of the nature of CDNs it is interfering with the way prestashop handles geolocation, it doesn't seem to stop the right currency from being displayed however it does effect the right tax rule from being applied to that country. I've managed to resolve this for the most cases as Cloudflare passes on the location information in the http header which can be called in smarty with {$smarty.server.HTTP_CF_IPCOUNTRY}. With this I can correct the tax however if for example they are in the US but set their delivery address to be in the UK prestashop would normally update the taxes on the site to reflect the new country however my solution does not do this so I need to add an extra if statement that checks for a delivery country before displaying prices.

Prestashop est installé par défaut avec plus de 240 pays, associés à leurs codes ISO. le nom de chacun est traduisible et on peut modifier son nom. c'est très bien mais j'ai eu une mauvaise surprise lors de mes traductions. Quand j'ai ajouté mes 9 nouvelles langues, les pays n'ont pas été traduits. toutes mes traductions affichent le nom du pays en français... N'existe-t-il pas des traductions qui serait prêtes à l'emploi pour les pays ? et installées avec les packs de langue ? ai-je raté quelque chose dans ma configuration ou ajout de langue ? ça fait quand même 240 pays à traduire dans 10 langues … à la main c'est long ?! merci de votre aide.

Hi, After spending all day trying to work this out I feel I must make a post here in the desperate hope that someone may be able to help! Basically, what I am trying to do is set up 3 delivery zones within the UK with £0, £5 and £10 'handling' charges per zone. So, I have one country enabled: UK (states enabled) I have three zones: UK Mainland (Zone 1) UK Scotland Highlands & Islands (Zone 2) UK Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly (Zone 3) Under states I have all the UK counties/regions assigned to their respective zone. In shipping I have one carrier defined, free shipping disabled and the prices per range/zone defined. On the checkout page no matter what county (state) I select the message 'No carriers available.' is displayed. Please can someone help! I wonder what the point of assigning a county (state) to a zone is if it can't be used to define shipping rates. Thank you

Hallo liebe Community, Ich muss in einem Script den Shop bzw genauer den Country Context manipulieren, schaffe es aber nicht die Country ID zu allgemein zu setzen. Warum das Ganze: Ich habe ein Script was mir ein File erstellen soll mit bereits richtig berechneten Preisen. Die Steuersätze die hier herangezogen werden sind unterschiedlich pro Land. Da ich kein eingeloggter User bin sonder alles direkt aufrufe erkennt er anhand von geotagging immer meinen Standort und natürlich nicht den den ich brauchen würde. Meine Idee: Wenn ich aus dem Script komme setze ich den Allgemeinen Context, so dass ich überall "simuliere", dass ich aus einem anderen Land komme. Leider finde ich dazu nicht viel. Ich weiß, dass ich per Context::getContext(); auf den Context zugreifen kann, aber schaffe es einfach nicht die country ID zu setzen wie ich sie möchte. Ich würde mich über Hilfe freuen und wünsche euch einen guten Start in die Woche! LG

Hi, I have a question about multistores. For 3 countries I have a store. France, Belgium and Netherlands. In the Netherlands store I can fill in the address form the countries Netherlands and France. Here it should be only display Netherlands. In the Belgium store I i have only the option Netherlands and France but I need to display Belgium only . In the French store I can also fill in Netherlands and France. Here i need only to display France. I search and search in Prestashop to fix this problem but I cannot succeed. Zdravím, chtěl bych se informovat jak přidat další stát do adresy. Používám Prestashop 1.7.5.0. Když se zákazník přihlásí a chce přidat adresu, tak u položky stát je pouze Česká republik a potřeboval bych tam přidal další možnost a to Slovensko, prošel jsem administraci, ale bohužel se mi tato položka nepodařila najít. Co se týče doručení, tak Slovenskou republika mám přidanou, zde nebyl problém, ale do adresy vybrat jiný stát než Česká republika. Doufám, že by mi zde mohl někdo poradit. Děkuji

For many years I have had the same problem where after each Prestashop automatic update my store loses the old settings for the Valid Countries (reverts to only US enabled) and all 3 customer groups reverting to display prices exclusive of tax instead of inclusive. The default country also reverts to US instead of Australia. Does anyone know why this happens and a fix? Thanks in advance :-)

Hey guys I have a huge problem setting additional shipping costs for a specific category in one country. I would like to set additional shipping costs for "Shoes" category in country "Germany". Is that even possible to do within the back-office? I have managed to set the shipping costs for all the countries under "Carriers" but this category thing is killing me. I just can't figure it out. I'd be grateful, if someone could give me a hint to solve this without coding. Btw, I'm using the latest PS 1.7.4.3 Thank you and best regards, Housy

Hello and thank you for clicking to see my question / problem. Im using ps1.7 I have a problem with country change at checkout page. For example the default country is Greece. In the first step of checkout (guest) i add name , surname and email. (im not using password because of guest) In the second step is the address. If i continue adding address etc it goes to step 3 normally. But the problem is if i change the country to germany for example when i click to next step it goes to a page and asks to sign in / sign up. If i try to click again the cart and go again inside the checkout page it goes normally. My problem is that when i change the country to continue to the next step (as guest) and not to asking to sign in / sign up. Is that a bug or i've done anything wrong? Hi Prestashop Community, This is my first question and probably not my last Our prestashop webshop is selling products in the Netherlands. We calculate 21% TAX and this all works fine Now we are adding Belgium and so far so good. We added a zone, a country, seperate transporter, extra VAT rule (also 21%) etc. it looks like everthing is good. But when i create a Belgium account and browse trough the products, everything is showing excluding VAT and i cant seem to find any solution after many frustrating hours of searching and testing. Do you guys have any solution to solve this problem?? Any more information required? Feel free to ask me. Thank you for your time in advance
