I click the link in the USPS module to access the API Key and it simply takes me to the USPS Web Tools site to register, which I had already done. I have worked with USPS Web Tools support to verify that I have all the requested permissions and have been moved over to the production site. This is all USPS can do. From this point it's up to PrestaShop and me. Can anyone with USPS experience and success guide me from here? Thanks!

Hi, I have two distribution points - one in Canada and one in the US. When I get an order from the US, I ship from there so I need the USPS Calculator. When I try to set up the USPS rate calculator, it gives me an error related to my Zipcode. I suspect that it is getting my store (canadian) postal code info from Prestashop and trying to use it in the USPS api as a zip code. How do I use the USPS calculator when my store is Canadian? Thanks

Alright. This is it on this. I promise. LOL My topic is lost somewhere. I cannot find it. But, I had to get ' verified ' for the module. Done. Now, they tell me this. --------- Thank you for contacting the USPS Internet Customer Care Center regarding your Web Tools Account. I am more than happy to move your account over to production in the U.S. Postal Service's Web Tools Application Program Interfaces (APIs). Your profile, (TAKENOUT), has been updated to allow you access to the Production Server. 1. The Production Server URL is: http://production.shippingapis.com. For APIs calling the secure server, the URL is https://secure.shippingapis.com. 2. There is a line of code that refers to "shippingapitest.dll". You'll need to remove the word "test". Since you are using, Presta Shop, as your third party software, you will need to contact them if you need assistance with coding or programming. They should be able to assist you in obtaining live information using our APIs. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us again. ------------------------ So yeah. HuH?

So all I'm trying to do is set a flat rate shipping. $4.95 for all purchases under 40$, and free shipping for all above. I have tried every possible combination of parameters to get the shipping right, and it will not display the correct price. All I'm getting for a normal variable package is $6.30, and no matter what I do it doesn't change. It only gets more expensive if I go into the module itself and set it for a flat rate box, which I dont want to do. I have tried setting the price range for the Parcel (default), and re-saving each of the carriers (an issue from a previous version). About a month spent 3 unpaid days upgrading to the latest version for my client, hoping it would fix at least a few of these issues. But the USPS shipping remains the main problem. There are enough technical glitches that I would abandon Prestashop as a choice for any future clients. But I'm hoping to at least get this one thing working? Any ideas?

I installed the USPS module, put in my user ID from USPS and all the other information on the configuration tab. When I click the configure button i get the following message. A friend of mine has been getting this same message for over a month. I have version 1.4.6.2 installed and using the USPS module included in the original install. Error message: Prestashop could not connect to USPS webservices : USPS Webservice seems to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Dan

I'm configuring my USPS module as I am trying to migrate from Zencart over to Prestashop. When placing our USPS User ID as requested and origin zip code, when testing we show only 2-9 shipping option for $5.79 regardless how much an order weighs, where it is going, etc... We have 2-9 day, 2-3 day, overnight checked... unfortunately only 2-9day shows at a flat $5.79 regardless. Any ideas? I've gone through configs, made sure all our product weights are correct...etc.

Here's what happened: -- Configured USPS module, have the API correct, Priority Mail selected, etc. Everything worked, but...... -- Shipping charges were fairly correct until an order reached 10 lbs or so. It seemed the price increased outrageously after that -- not at all what the USPS priority mailing price should have been. -- I adjusted a couple of things (the USPS module, and the weight of the products I was testing right then). -- The shipping price lowered. Yay! -- Only... it was too low now. -- Upon further inspection, I realized it wasn't just too low -- the shipping price is now stuck at $11.35. -- Cleared caches. Still stuck. -- Upgraded to current version of Prestashop. -- STILL stuck at $11.35. I'm at a loss of what could be causing this. I would *so very much* appreciate any help on this -- I've no clue what else to try. Please, please help! The site is: http://www.countrycornerbulkfoods.com/buy_bulk

I'm somewhat new to e-commerce and Prestashop but have reasonable web, HTML, and PHP editing skills. I just installed 1.4.6.2 with no issues. I have everything in order (I think ) except the configuration of my USPS module. I have added one t-shirt to products list to start so I can get it set up properly before I start adding more. I have entered the weight of the shirt in the product edit page. Not sure if and how I should enter dimensions. I have heard people on t-shirt forum suggest using tyvek envelope for shipping one shirt. I'm not sure how things will work if people order multiple shirts since that will mean a bigger box will be needed. As of now when I enter 1 shirt I'm getting certain prices from USPS rate calculator. When I add more shirts to order, prices are not changing. I've also changed the weight of the shirt and the pricing remains the same. I'm sure I am missing something or doing something wrong. This is all very confusing to me with all the different shipping options. I would appreciate any help on configuring the USPS rate calculator module and any tips from people that ship t-shirts in the US. I'm sure I haven't provided all the necessary information so just let me know and I will reply asap with any info needed. Thanks in advance!

I've waited, and tried again, but they never do respond. Does anybody have any idea if I'm doing something wrong? Can anyone help? thanks ahead of time:)

Hi All, I am using USPS to ship (and the PS USPS Module 1.2.1) and have several issues that are driving me crazy! I have set up my country zones, as well as weight and price zones. I ship based on product weight only. I have Priority mail as a default, but also offer parcel post and first class (for small items weighing under 13 ounces). Issues 1. It seems that no mater what I place in the cart, the shipping cost is always the same. 2. I can't get First Class to appear as on option even if the product weight is under 13 ounces. 3. I have a few large items that I want to default to USPS Priority Mail LARGE Flat Rate Box. I have set up these items in the USPS Module under product settings like this: Product - MOLLE Safe Door Panel Packaging Type - LG Flat Rate Box Packing Size - Regular Machinable - True Additional Charges - 0.0 Delivery Service - Priority Mail Commercial Rate (I use USPS.com) This one area is holding up my entire shop. Can anyone help? Thanks, John

I ship to US and Canada. My weight needs to be based in ounces or I can do it in pounds but use decimals to make it .25 of a pound etc. I receive the message invalid carrier or no carrier selected. Below is how I have the shipping set up. Please help, I'm going round and round and not sure where my error is.

Having multiple problems with a Prestashop install Redirect loop on SSL enabled (NO SSL radio button) Add to cart ALWAYS adds 2 products, (Sometimes out of stock items) Ajax add to cart is really slow. Google checkout in sandbox mode doesn't add FedEx shipping rates to final price. Problems configuring the USPS modules. Willing to provide more details on all of the following, but ive seen others having issues with the SSL redirect loop on some pages ost of the solutions dont apply to the version im using the latsest version at posting.

This might be a newbie question, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. I am trying to set up free shipping, but I don't want it across the board. I would like to limit it to a single carrier->carrier choice (ie... UPS Ground). Also I need to specify that shipping is only free over 49$. All other shipping should be charged normally. Does anyone know how to set this up? Thanks!

I am trying to use the USPS module. When I try to configure the USPS module: I continually get the following error: Prestashop could not connect to USPS webservices : USPS Webservice seems to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again. I signed up for my USPS API. I got an email from them saying I was in testing mode. It says: Your Web Tools User ID, shown above, is required to test and integrate USPS Web Tools APIs. With this ID, you may begin sending calls to the test server. Depending on the API, the address to the test server is either http://testing.shipp...pingAPITest.dll or https://secure.shipp...ingAPITest.dll. Use this information in combination with your User ID and your XML string to send a request to the USPS servers. For more details, refer to the programming guides (located at http://www.usps.com/webtools) for the specific API you are integrating. A sample test request would look like: "http://testing.shippingapis.com/ShippingAPITest.dll?API=[API_Name]&XML=[xml_String_containing_User_ID]" When you have completed your testing, email the USPS Internet Customer Care Center (ICCC). They will switch your profile to allow you access to the production server and will provide you with the production URLs. The ICCC is staffed from 7:00AM to 11:00PM Eastern Time. E-mail: [email protected] Telephone: 1-800-344-7779 So do I have get the testing done and get moved to the production server? Barry Steinman
