Tried installing the free UPS & USPS shipping modules... I'd like to use both, but will settle for either alone if I can get it working! They both seem to install OK but then ask for an API & that's where I hit a failure. The first issue is that they both offer a number of APIs. Which to select??? Connect to USPS USPS allows me to register for an API; they do send an email with a USERNAME & PASSWORD.. Is /that/ the "API"? The "Connect to USPS" module "General Settings" has a place to enter the "USPS User ID". Is that the username they sent me? There is no place to enter the password though and I get the error: "Webservice test connection Error 80040b1a : Authorization failure. Perhaps username and/or password is incorrect." BTW, there is a field called "Packaging Weight" that I have no idea what to put there. I couldn't know a weight until an order is placed! Connect to UPS A "Shipping API" for "package" seems to be available and I can download it in a ZIP file which I did. The file has a bunch of folders & files in it but how from that do I get the "API key" for the UPS module config screen? Is there detailed documentation anywhere for how to add shipping carriers (and once this is done, payment gateways) to my PrestaShop? -
I am running a fresh install of 1.5.6. I am struggling in figuring out how to get the shipping right. Here is what I am trying to do: 1. All U.S. orders are free shipping. 2. Calculate international USPS shipping cost for anyone outside of the U.S. 3. We only use USPS and I already have an active API for it, but there is no international. I am stumped and I want to get this right. On a side note, I seem to only be able to update shipping by having to go to each product individually. That sucks when you update a couple thousand products. Is there a way to do a mass update? Seems like there would be unless everyone has really tiny stores. I appreciate any kind of information. -
Hi I am new to prestashop and have configured my site. The problem is with USPS. I have installed 'Connect to USPS' module and have enter my USPS credential etc. But on the checkout page on the website, the USPS is not visible (See the screenshot). Also when I add a product in the cart it always show 'Free Shipping' (Please see screenshot 'prestashop-screen2.jpg') Can it be a problem of caching? Prestashot version is 1.5.4.1. Thanks in advance

I have been searching and searching the internet and can't get an easy set up for shipping for Prestashop that will work. I don't know exact weight for products. I need to charge by box size for service and USPS priority is probably cheapest easiest bet, but would also allow FCM or parcel post or whatever I could set up to easily work. I have some oversized 20 x 20 or 24 x 24 items that I don't know what box or service to use to be the cheapest /standard price anywhere domestic. Anyway, I want to have the product size automatically select the USPS priority postage box that will fit and use that shipping amount. But, anytime I try to add any carriers for shipping it always says shipping is free. I need to get this completed right away. I am in immediate help.. if you know how to do this and can offer your assistance or a free module that's easy to set up.. the USPS module that is included with prestashop doesn't seem to update or work and all the tutorials tell you basic shipping set up steps that I have done, that still show free shipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! THank so much!!!- 2 replies

Updated store from 1.5.3 to 1.5.4. As I was trying to figure out email issues, I was entering an order using a Canadian address. My store is located in the U.S. just for reference. So I added an item to my cart, checked out as GUEST and entered the Canadian address into the checkout. The correct USPS and UPS shipping shows up. Everything to this point is fine. NOW, if I go back into the store and log in as an already registered U.S. customer, the item I added for the Canadian address is still in the cart (this might be a problem) but now when I go to checkout, the UPS shipping updates but the USPS shipping is still Canadian Post but is now FREE. See attached. It doesn't update to the U.S. USPS. If I add an item, all is good and the shipping shows USPS Domestic and UPS correctly. Can someone try to verify this happens with them or can someone suggest a setting I may have incorrect?

I have integrated my USPS module, however now I go to test on the front end, and no matter what address I select, there is no carrier available. I have tried updating the carriers to no avail. Could someone please advise me as to what to do to get a carrier recognized? I have looked through the shipping and carrier tabs and it appears that USPS is enabled. Is there something i may not be doing? Could someone maybe give me a walkthrough on how to get this USPS Carrier active? *It was active before the update. I have experienced a huge amount of trouble since updating, and reverting did not fix any of the issues. Thanks -
Hello, I would appreciate any assistance that anyone can provide. I am having trouble integrating the USPS shipping module into my store, and when I thought I had everything correct, I get a error: 80040b1a authentication failure. What does this mean and how can I fix it? I am unsure as to what to try. I have went through all the USPS steps again, and got the same message. If anyone could provide me with a walkthrough that would be great! Thanks.

Hi, when I installed the usps module, I chose commercial rates, but the front end is using retail rates instead. Any ideas? Thanks!

I did several things before I noticed this problem and I'm not sure which one caused it but I'm hoping someone can assist. The first thing I did was upgrade from 1.5.5 to 1.5.6 with the one-click upgrade module. The next thing I did was enable all countries and zones under localization. After some research on international shipping I create a standard shipping carrier to use for it since the USPS module doesn't support it. The shipping estimate during the 5 step process works fine but when I get to the shipping page it always says no carriers are available to ship to your address. I tried the one page checkout and it goes right to the problem of not having a carrier available. Before I did these things domestic shipping was working great now the cart is basically dead because you can't get past the shipping selection. I'm gonna try to roll back to 1.5.5 but I don't really know if it was working there either. Seems like a problem with having the USPS module and another carrier available. Maybe because they are both valid for the North American Zone. I'm just not sure. I've attached a screenshot of the one page checkout. And two more attachments show the shipping estimator working.

I'm having a hard time to set up shipping methods for my online shopping mall. I'm using Prestashop 1.4.8.2 Here are problems that I have with each carrier. 1. UPS The automatically calculated rates are not matched with actual rate that get from UPS. 2. Fedex - Rate is about right(it's little less than actual rate, but that's not that big). But it doesn't have a function that check if the address is residential or not. There's are significant difference between commercial and residential are in rates. - Having a hard time to add pick up charges which Fedex charges per box. 3. USPS This is the biggest issue that I have, now. - After configuration, I still can't find it on a list of carriers nor on website as shipping option. - It may able to check mere shipping cost but it can't check insurance cost which is sometime as expensive as shipping rate itself. - Is there any way I can set which size of Flat Rate Box will be automatically selected based on quantity and type of product that a customer put in shopping cart. -
Getting following error while configure USPS shipping module: Prestashop could not connect to USPS webservices : Error 80040b1a : Authorization failure. Perhaps username and/or password is incorrect. I have USPS API user id & passord, but don't have password field to login. Please help. Thanks

Hi i am trying to setup an online store to sell salon products using prestashop. I have enabled and configured the fedex and usps modules. I also added a carrier for salon pick ups. In the cart the only shipping options are FedEx express saver and 3 overnights. The usps options and the salon pick up doesn't show. Also the fedex ground only shows up if there are more than 1 item in the cart. I've set everything the north America and USD. Ive tried config by weight or price ect. Ive attached the carries to specific products and only fedex shows up. Please help. Thank you -
I recently updated the prestashop i'm working on as a freelancer and I'm relatively new at this as I'm still currently in school for design. When I updated the logo header is now over top of the menu and home page slider how do I get it to go back above the menu? I am using the default prestashop theme and have not changed any coding. -
I am STILL having issues with the UPS and USPS shipping modules. The fedex module is working fine but the other two when I enable them they continue to show "FREE!" on the checkout page. All the settings are the same and I believe that this is a coding issue but I am unsure how to fix it. I am using the default prestashop theme and have not changed any coding.

Hi! I have installed the USPS shipping module and have enabled 3 carrier options... a local pick up option, USPS Priority Mail (commercial) and USPS first class shipping (commercial). Both of these USPS options are checked off when I configured the module and I have them enabled in my carriers list in the back office. I have checked my products weights and I know that in order for First Class shipping to be an option, it must be 13 ounces or under... and I have many products that would qualify... but First Class shipping just never shows up when I am in the Front Office going through the steps of an order. The only options that show up are USPS Priority Mail and the Local Pick Up Option. I am running Prestashop 1.5.3.1. Can someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong? I NEED First Class mail to show up as an option as soon as possible!! Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated! -
Hi I'm in desperate need of some kind of guidance I'm hoping this is easier for you guys. I have been trying to get my USPS. To provide shipping rates for my site for countries outside the US. I have systematically gone through every single drop down. Looked at them piece by piece by piece. I have enabled all the countries. I have also enabled all their states. I even made Canada it's own zone and added the Canadian states listed to that zone. I've done everything I know of and can think of. The tutorial I read said it should just be as simple as enabling the zones in the shipping carrier. I've done that I've also undone it an done it again an resaved. In an attempt to snap the site into working. I HAVE GOTTEN NO WHERE! Some one ANYONE please Help me. I've rebuilt this site 6+ times I do not want to have to rebuild it again. I'm in desperate need of any help. So please if you know how to do this. Please just tell me.

Hi! I have had Priority Mail with USPS module as an option in my front office... however it just mysteriously disappeared tonight!?!?!!! Does anyone know why? I went in and uninstalled the module and reinstalled and now it says "USPS web service seems to be down, try again in a few minutes" UGHH!! Does anyone know what is going on? I NEED this to be up and running ASAP! I am running 1.5.3.1 and installed USPS 1.2.5. I need someone to please help me troubleshoot this as soon as possible. Thank you in advance!

I have had my prestashop website online for the last year. Over that time I have tried to add the USPS Rate Calculator Module multiple times, but keep running into problems. I have contacted USPS and asked them to put my account into production, but I am still getting errors. Everything works when I go through the configuration, but step 3 which says: Webservice test connection : USPS Webservice seems to be down, please wait a few minutes and try again. I have tried everything I can think of and read through numerous posts, but still not luck. Can someone please help me solve this problem? -

Have researched the forums and documentation. After reviewing the video tutorials provided in the forums section - I know that my settings and configurations are good to go. Yet, still I have issues with the fees being free for all the different types of USPS carriers I provide. Here is a screen shot of my settings. Please help - does anyone know of fix to this.

Hey guys, Using USPS and Version 1.4.8.2 Does anyone know if there is anyway to set-up a specific shipping cost for a certain product. For example I want to make shipping on a beer pong table 24.95 but only certain items will be certain shipping costs and I dont want the calculator to adjust anything aside from knowing that item should just be 24.95. Any help would be appreciated! -

I need to restrict certain shipping choices (media mail) from certain categories. USPS does not allow media mail for items other than books, recordings etc. In the USPS rate calculator module I have created serrvices to NOT include media mail for items such as cameras and stamps but it shows up as a choice for the buyer anyway. They obviously will choose that since it is the cheapest. But then I have to sen the item Parcel Post at a higher rate and eat the difference. Any solution to this? Thanks
