hi i have an issue with my site http://scattypets.com/ I have used csv to import 700 products and i have another 5000 to go. Categories have been created and when i uploaded the csv i selected the correct category number for the products and on the live site the product is shown in the correct category. However using an example product the product page shows the path as Home>product even tho the product has 4 steps. so this is affecting the breadcrumbs in rich snippets. in the back office all products show as belonging to Home and if you select a category in the BO there are no products but when going to the product page it shows the product associated with the correct category. if i select a product to be in home and another category then use the later as the default then it shows correctly in the BO Does any one know how to resolve this issue

Hi Everyone, We are working on a online grocery store and they have multiple product categories (E.g Food, drinks, dessert...). Client is offering local delivery for surrounding area and national delivery. We have set them using some modules. The problem is that our client cannot ship Fresh Fruit, Vegetable and Frozen products nationally (for obvious reasons). We know we can limit the shipping carrier section when editing products but our client has over hundred Fresh & Frozen products. Is there any way to limit the carrier selection when customer put a fresh product in his cart? so restrict the carrier base on product carrier? I cannot find any modules or code modification for its need. Does anyone have any idea? We would greatly appreciate your idea! -

Hello. I need to make a button that will be a link to a certain category. I don't know where to get links to my categories. When I edit a category I only see friendly URL that is not working. In SEO & URLs I tried to switch that option on but it crashed my site so I want other way. I just need to know what code to use for a link and which information to put in it.

Hi, I would like to display(list out) all product of particular category by category id on home page. So, i have created on category say "Special Product" and create the new product under this category. now i know the category id say "8" and i need to get all products list under this category on home page. i am using prestashop 1.5.4.1. please help me. -
Hi all, In the back end of one of my stores 1 of the product categories has gone missing! On the front-end I can see all the sub-categories still work ok and function as normal and the parent category gets a lovely 404 error. In the back office admin section the parent category is not in the list. I have checked and it is still in the SQL database with the ID 45. I can see all the child categories still link to that but they do not display either. I am not sure where to go from here, I have been looking around the system and cannot seem to pinpoint the issue. The good news is, it is still in the database. The bad, it doesn't display in the back office. Has anyone else had this? Many thanks -

Bonjour à tous, J'ai trouvé des sujets sur le forum ressemblant au mien mais sans solution... Je suis en 1.5.6.2, on a créé un site il y a deux mois, mais depuis 15 jours plusieurs soucis sont apparus au même moment sur mon backoffice dans les Produits (pourtant aucun problème sur le site boutique): - le bloc de texte pour les parties Description et Résumé du produit est revenu en HTML alors que j'avais une palette de mise en forme simple. - dans Association je ne peux plus associer un produit à une sous-catégorie (alors qu'elles sont bien présentes dans la partie Catégorie du backoffice et sur le site en ligne). Seule apparaît Accueil ou alors la Sous-catégorie sélectionnée avant que ce problème n'apparaisse. - impossible de rajouter une image au produit. Il me semble pourtant n'avoir rien appuyer de particulier qui aurait pu causer le problème. Est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait m'aider, je suis desespérée... Merci! Cdlt -

Hi all, For a few days now I'm searching for something like this but seems like no one has tried it before. What I want to do is to have a category or subcategory disabled, and still access it by url and have the products there. Disabled categories don't show products. In category.tpl you have the $category->active query and delete it, but I can not find where the function that prevents products to be displayed in a disabled categories is? Has anyone done this? Thanks a lot!

Hi All I am developing a website using prestashop 1.5. I have a list of 'product categories' on a single page. I want to add a pagination on that list of categories. The page that I want to add the pagination to is here: http://fantasticrugs...roller=category I want to limit the number of results to 5 product categories per page, and I also want to have a pagination at the bottom of the page. How do I achieve this??? Is there a module I need to use to achieve this?? PS: I am aware that you can enable pagination in the back end admin, (but this only seems to effect a list of 'products' and it does not effect a list of 'categories') Therefore I desperately need to know how to paginate a list of categories. Any help would be much appreciated Regards Andrew

Tengo una tienda prestashop 1.4.4 y quisiera hacer algunas modificaciones en el funcionamiento del modulo "en la misma categoria. Es complicado de explicar por escrito, asi que espero hacerlo bien. La tienda, www.bolsasaspirador.com ofrece repuestos para aspiradores, sus productos pertenecen a varias categorias (o modelos de aspirador) que a su vez estan dentro de una categoria "marca" y estas dentro de la categoria "tipo de recambio". Como el mismo producto sirve para muchos modelos pero en cada producto solo hay que marcar una categoria por defecto, entonces está marcada la categoria " marca del aspirador " ( que contiene muchas subcategorias "modelo de aspirador"). Cuando hago una busqueda avanzada me muestra el listado de productos compatibles para un modelo en concreto y al pinchar para ver un articulo, me muestra su ficha y en el modulo "product category" se ven los productos que son del mismo modelo, perfecto como debe ser. En el breadcrumb se muestra la ruta correcta: inicio/TipoDeRepuesto/MarcaDeAspirador/ModelodeAspirador/NombreDelRecambio. Pero... cuando pincho sobre alguno de los articulos que aparecen en el slide de este modulo, me va a la ficha del producto, que como tiene por categoria por defecto "la marca de aspirador" en el modulo "en la misma categoria", ahora me muestra todos los productos de la marca ( ya no del modelo de aspirador ) y claro muchos de ellos no sirven para el modelo para el que antes hice la busqueda. En el breadcrumb logicamente, se muestra la ruta: inicio/TipoDeRepuesto/MarcaDeAspirador/NombreDelRecambio. (como dije, no puedo seleccionar un modelo como categoria por defecto, por que el mismo producto pertenece a muchos) En lo que espero que alguien pueda ayudarme es que, el modulo "en la misma categoria" solo ofrezca resultados, cuando la categoria no tenga mas subcategorias, es decir, en mi tienda, solo cuando estemos en el "modelo de aspirador" y así de ese modo ofrecerá solo productos realmente compatibles con ese modelo. Espero haberme explicado y gracias por cualquier tipo de ayuda.

Dear all Today if a customer goes to one of my product categories they will see products from many manufacturers. That's great, but I want to offer a possibility to click a "Show only products from XYZ-manufacturer" button. Clicking that button would then show all the product from XYZ-manufacturer in that specific category. If in front- office I select a category I get to this URL: http://myshop.com/1-category_name If the I select to sort the products by eg. price descending I get to this URL: http://myshop.com/1-...ce&orderway=asc Now I wonder if its somehow possible to manually craft a URL similar to this: http://myshop.com/1-category_name?select=[manufacturer_ID]&orderby=price&orderway=asc ??? If this is possible, I would be very happy for any suggestions on the syntax for this to work. If it's not possible this way, I'll be thankfull for any other suggestion on how to achieve the same... NB: Presta's standard function "View all products by manufacturer" is not really an option, as most manufacturer have too many product for it to make sense. Thanks a lot in advance! BR Peter -
Dear all, I have a question regarding the "Product Category Picture" or "Product Category Image Mapping" (see examplary screenshot below). As you probably know it's quite easy to create (via an image mapping) a link from the category picture to a product. Now, I'm wondering. Can I also link from a "Product Category Image Mapping" to a CMS page instead? If yes, how do I do this? Best regards and thanks a lot in advance, Hermeswein

dear ALL i need advise on how i could add in a video clips to present my products in the product category. what is available now is just image & text. no doubt, i feel that video clips or moving slideshows are more attractive to market our products. or may be if i had use youtube to upload, i could actually copy the embeded html & paste to the product catergory. could you advise where (as in which files in our system) can i paste the embeded html, so that i present a loud & clear video thumbnail for each of my product category? appreciate some advise. im sure this would help many others. rgds jassy

Zdravím, S přibývajícím počtem produktů v kategorii řeším problém vyhledávání přes základní search modul obsažený v prestashopu. U jedné značky mám cca 700 produktů a většina zákazníků využívá pro hledání právě název značky. V takovém množství produktů to zřejmě nebaví zákazníky hledat. Narazil jsem na řešení viz. níže. Už jsem to viděl mockrát a právě to hledám pro prestu. Hledám modul, který po zadání klíčového slova do vyhledávání nejenže zobrazí produkty tomu odpovídající, ale nad výpisem produktů zobrazí seznam kategorií ve kterých toto klíčové slovo bylo naleznuto. Např.: Kočárky > Sportovní kočárky Kočárky > Kočárky - golfové hole Autosedačky > Autosedačky 0-13 kg Autosedačky > Autosedačky 9-18 kg Tyto výpisy jsou jako odkaz na uvedenou kategorii. Víte někdo jak to vyřešit? Díky David
