Hi everyone. I've just installed PS in my local machine (OS X), everything went smoothly but when I try to log in to the admin panel it get's a loop redirecting to the same page (login page) all the time without an error message (it only shows the error message when I type a wrong pw on purpose). It is the first time I use PS, I've already seen in the forum that it is a common problem (or at least it used to be) and I've tried what I've found here and in Google, but usually are related to servers, browsers... not in local machine, so I'm still blocked. I'd appreciate a lot if someone had a solution. Many thanks

I am trying to help a customer out on several issues he's been encountering on his shop since another freelance "made a mess and ghosted him out of the blue", and i have been hitting a wall for the bigger part of the day on the last one remaining (probably the most important one though) : a 302 redirect loop on the "my account" page (and, sometimes, it also seems to happen on the login page). I am just starting out helping people with their prestashop adventures, so it is most likely some obvious thing i just failed to find during my thorough researches. Please, feel free to hit me hard if that is the case ! Also, please note that : -> for some people or in rare occasions it seems to work as intended, somehow. -> when i hit the redirect browser error, i can actually go right through it by force refreshing (CTRL F5) What i have tried so far, without success : - Searched through most of the topics i was able to find on the internet that were close enough to my problem (most of them were outdated). - Cleared the cache from BO, and turned off every cache-related setting for the time i was troubleshooting (settings are back on at the moment). - Regenerated .htaccess file through manuel delete and toggling on/off the Friendly URLs. - Deactivated all modules. - Scanned with redirect-checker to discover the redirecting urls - Digged through files, one at a time, among classes & controllers to try and find something relevant. - Tried Eolia's cleaner.php script found earlier on this very forum, sadly got a memory limit error preventing me from using it. I am litteraly clueless on this situation, i figured it was time to bring the bigger guns on this matter. Please, save me ☺️

ciao ho un bug nel mio backoffice, ho attivato i campi "funzioni" per aggiungere dettagli alle schede dei prodotti, ho notato che al mio ritorno nel bo i campi "funzioni" della scheda vengono duplicati si moltiplicano ad ogni salvataggio, creando una lista lunghissima, nel frontend però è tutto ok. il problema è che così è stata aumentata la var di dati che vengono scritti nel db mysql e di conseguenza ho dovuto alzare il valore php max_input_vars=1000000 !!! per poter salvare le schede, ... allego screenshoot per referenze: la mia ver di p.s. è la 1.7.6.9 grazie M.

Buongiorno a tutti E' accaduta una cosa strana sul nostro shop PS 1.7.6.1 thema Warehouse. Il problema si verifica quando i clienti che navigano da SAFARI e CHROME su MAC aggiungono prodotti al carrello.. Mi spiego meglio: il cliente MAC entra sul sito, crea un account (ok), fa la login (ok), procede a mettere il prodotto nel carrello, procede al checkout > acquisto corretto e funzionante al 100%- Subito dopo, ancora loggato, va su un prodotto, prova a metterlo nel carrello e qui va in LOOP infinito senza successo. Se effetta il logout e poi rifà la login, tutto torna a funzionare bene (mette il prodotto nel carrello e procede all'acquisto senza problemi). => sembra che chi naviga da safari / chrome su MAC abbai un problema legato alla sessione / ai cookies o qualcosa del genere.. tale accade quanto sopra. A qualcuno di voi è mai accaduta una cosa simile? A noi mai. Grazie a chi saprà darmi indicazioni su dove indagare e provare a risolvere questo difetto che ripeto si verifica SOLO con SAFARI / CHROME su dispositivi MAC. Grazie e buon lavoro a tutti

Estimados, buenas tardes. Con Prestashop 1.7.2.0, cuando se ingresa como administrador, si la sesión se cierra y quieres volver a ingresar: no se puede y queda en un bucle que nunca te deja ingresar. Solo cuando borras el cache/cookies del navegador te deja ingresar. He probado deshabilitar el chequeo de IP pero no ha funcionado. ¿Alguien podrá darme algun ayuda para esta versión? Muchas gracias.!

Hey ! i have difficulties to override class product.php (prestashop 1.7.5). I want to add a new price field in back-office for products (which admin can use to add extra price to his products. I've overrided class Product.php (override/classes/product.php) to add this new field : public function __construct($id_product = null, $full = false, $id_lang = null, $id_shop = null, Context $context = null){ public $service; self::$definition['fields']['service'] = [ 'type' => self::TYPE_FLOAT, 'required' => true, 'size' => 10 ]; parent::__construct($id_product, $full, $id_lang, $id_shop, $context); } And it works, it's in DB, admin can CRUD it. But, now for calculate price it's a little bit different because i want that the price += service. So, always in override/classes/product.php, i override public static function priceCalculation() {} with queries to DB (select then update with the result). But the calculation is done every time I click save on the product sheet in the back office or click on the product sheet in front office (it increments each time) ... It's not a cache problem, always delete it before trying... Can just find on the web solutions to add text field, not prices fields... If anyone can helps :) :) Thx !

Hello, I am developing a website for a client, and I have been asked to display the features using two columns instead of the usual one. There will be three columns on the product page One column contains the picture of the product and the two others are the features. The latter are features, but the first columns contains general characteristics (reference name, colour, adhesive type,...) of the item while the other columns will be about dimensions (margin, padding, pitch, height,...). I see in "product-details.tpl" that the items are looped from "$product=grouped_features" array, and as my technical references are containing 16 datafields, I'd like to interrupt the loop at the 8th feature on the first column, and resume the loop the next column. I know that in some templating languages (Jinja2, Twig, Handlebars), it is possible to do something like that, but I cannot manage to find this with Smarty. Would I have to change something in the deep code? Hi! I'm coming to you with a strange one, and hard to diagnose as well... We are encountering a problem on a 1.6.1.18 shop (but the problem might have been there before this version as we are just now managing this website) : when the Prestashop Smarty Cache is enabled, after some time or after something is triggered, the PHP-FPM instances start to overload the server and finally render the site inaccessible. A bit of context This shop is running on a dedicated server with: - 16G of RAM - PHP-FPM 7.0.32 - MariaDB 10.1.26 It used to be on an other server with a rather complex configuration, but has since been moved. The problem persisted. It also used to use PHP-FPM 5.6, but the problem persisted after we upgraded to 7.0. The shop has between 7k and 10k page views per day and approximately 15 to 20 orders a day. It also has ~1600 active products in its catalog. The problem When the shop is using the Smarty Cache (filesystem, not database), at seemingly random moments, the PHP-FPM processes start to overload one after the other until the server gets a load average so high that the website can't be viewed any more. The only solution at this stage is to restart the php-fpm daemon and then the site works again until the next occurrence of this phenomenon. The only way we found to avoid this all together has been to disable the Smarty Cache, but that's not a good solution. We can't pinpoint what conditions are causing this problem to appear nor why it's happening. We tried to replicate it on an other server simulating a load on the website, adding and editing products, triggering CRON jobs, and so on, without success. From that, we gathered that the problem must be triggered by a load specific to the daily use of the shop (visitors, orders, admin actions, cron jobs, modules calling external APIs for delivery or abandoned carts, ...). When the problem occurs, what is apparent is that the PHP-FPM processes are trying to fetch or remove template cache files from different modules very rapidly and in a seemingly infinite loop. We found that by running a trace (using `strace`) on the processes. The queried paths vary from one occurrence to another and even during the occurrence, so there is not definite culprit that can be identified among the modules. The traces show that the systems is trying to remove some cache directories with the `rmdir` system call but that fails as the directory is not empty. Example: `rmdir("/var/www/vhosts/website.com/httpdocs/cache/smarty/cache/additionalproductstabs/tab/291/1/1") = -1 ENOTEMPTY (Directory not empty)` We don't know anymore where to search for clues. The problem is hard to diagnose as the shop is in production and we can't do everything we want on it. Moreover, as we could not replicate this problem on our staging environment, we can't easily test solutions like deactivating modules to see if it still happens. We are asking for your help to try to find a new perspective or a new approach to diagnosing this problem and solving it. We can provide whatever configuration you need to better understand what could be causing this. Two pieces of trace are attached to this post if you want to have a look at the output (they are just extracts as it runs indefinitely until a daemon restart). Hola a todos, espero que alguien pueda ayudarme, estoy realizando pruebas con un sitio, el link de la tienda es: www.armub.com y para el backoffice es: www.armub.com/prueba (versión de PS 1.7.4.2 como se aprecio debajo del título) el problema está en que al poner el usuario y contraseña (correctos) solamente se queda el pinguino y no avanza ni nada, alguien sabe como solucionar este problema? (les dejo una captura de pantalla con el error que les menciono).....

Bonjour tout le monde, Je me présente, Ludovic, nouveau dans l'univers Prestashop :-) Jusqu'ici je me suis bien débrouillé, mais, depuis peu, j'ai un souci avec mon Presta. Lorsque je clique sur le bouton ajouter panier, il tourne en loop infini ... aucune réaction du bouton, alors qu'il l'ajoute bien au panier. Buna, dupa o instalare a ultimei versiuni Prestashop 1.7.3.3. la accesare magazin pe domeniu "x" apare o problema: face trimitere la arhiva zip ,desi instalarea a fost terminata cu succes, baza de date este instalata, acces in back admin se face . Mesajul este An error has occured: Unzipping error - Unable to find the release zip file. Make sure that the prestashop.zip file has been uploaded and is located in the same directory as this dezipper. Cum se iese din aceasta bucla???? Multumesc.

Hi, I'm trying to add a piece of code to my homepage to display a list of all the categories and under each category it's subcategories with a number at side with the amount of products in it. Something like this: - Category 1 - - Sub category (42) - - Sub category (13) - Category 3 - - Sub category (17) - - Sub category (33) Although it may be simple for some, I've been searching for 2 ways for a way to do it, but without result. Tried modifying the CategoryController.php override but without success (no result in homepage, but then I realized the Category page was actually crashing). Hi there, I've been having this issue after moving my Prestashop from one host to another. I couldn't log in to the backoffice even though the password was correct (if it wasnt, I'd get a different error). It simply refreshed the page but didn't get me in to the backoffice. I've seen many people with this problem while Googling. I tried all solutions: - Clear cache - Clear cookies - Change cookie settings in DB - Try different browsers - Create new admin user through DB - Change admin password through DB - etc. etc. Nothing worked. However, changing the PHP version of my webhost solved it. I've never seen this suggestion in any other topic, so I figured it might help some people in the future struggling with this issue. I had this issue on Prestashop 1.5.5.0. My PHP version was at 7.0 for my other websites. Changing it to 'native' worked. 5.6 broke it again, 5.5 solved it again. Try changing your PHP settings to see if this makes any difference for you. Good luck!

This is an unusual post to be making but I recently had an issue with the registration page after updating to 1.6.1.7 basically when you clicked the button to create an account it would go to the right place but before you can enter any information it would redirect you back to the homepage appending #account-creation to the url (homepage.com#account-creation). I managed to resolve this issue by editing the authentication.js file. I changed a line in there that said document.location = "#account-creation" and changed it to document.location += "#account-creation" So that the appended text was added to the login url rather than the homepage (homepage.com/login#account-creation). I just wanted to know if there would be an issue with this as it isn't like this by default. I saw quite a lot of people having a similar issue but the solutions provided for it didn't work to fix the problem.

hi guys, My prestashop was transferred to a new host, all was good before the transfer, when it was completed the website was throwing redirect loops. when i spoke to the hosting company they said the htaccess was at fault. I didnt really believe it as it was fine before hand but when i checked it on the ftp yep it was completely empty. So now i can access back office to generate a new one and also cant view the front office. I dont have a back up and the one i do have is from 1.4.9, and im on 1.5.5 so if i use this i get a 500 error. so my question is how can i generate a new one, really need help, the directors are driving me mad. i dont have much htaccess experience so i havent really got a clue Thanks in advanced Paul

Hi All. I've installed the latest version of prestashop and although I can log in to admin the index.php page wont display. All I get is the too many redirects. Any ideas? Hi I have problem, login in to my back office. when I enter correct user na pass in just loops. It does not let me into back office. Prestashop version 1.5.6.2 I ve tried to clear cache but nothing happens. I tried to login from other location and it worked. The problem started to happen when I logged-in once with my url but forgot to enter www. in from of domain. Did anyone else had problem with admin login in 1.5? how to solve this problem? i've just downloaded prestashop v.1.6.0.8 i installed in my newly rented hosting with new database instalation runs smooth buat after i delete install folder and rename admin folder when i login (entered username and password), it didnt go to dashboard, it keep looping in the login when i keep trying, an error showed up There is one error. The Employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect. so i checked in phpmyadmin at employee database, and my user is there, with correct email and encrypted password. i have reinstalled twice, but same problem still occur. i tried doing it with xampp at my localhost, it went fine and i can login. but when i tried at my hosting, it keeps looping at login. the password is correct, and email is correct too, ive double checked it. please help
