  1. beve ~ maybe you can add to this to take care of the rest of the SEO issues, such as redirect index.php to / and so forth... ?? =)
  2. Awesome.. Ill check out your module later. you dont have to remove your post.. I only made it to fix my problem and thought it could be useful for others thanks for adopting my ideas.
  3. It's so simple it doesn't need much explanation. Every time you change your product SEO name in Prestashop Google and every other search engine under the sun finds the new name, but keeps the old name indexed as well (since the crawler can still access the old URL just the same as the new one). This fixes that problem by redirecting the URL of the old name to the new name of your product, effectively removing duplicate entries on search engines. I did this for my version, 1.2.5 - probably works on others as well. You'll have to test yourself. Make backups. Im not liable for anything this code does. I'm not going to charge for this, but please visit http://www.dreemusa.com/ and contact through the form there if you need any help, i'll see what I can do. Here, you can demo this.. Here's a link to an old URL on my website: http://www.dreemusa.com/15-zenithink-tablet.html Once you go there, you'll notice it redirects to the new product name. Download it here, for free: http://www.dreemusa.com/content/10-happy-seo-fixes-duplicate-product-search-engine Enjoy! Other websites i've designed: http://www.zenithinktablet.info/ http://www.cheaptabletcomputer.info/ Thank you.

  5. I didn't have the money to spend on this, so i programmed something similar myself. I'm giving it away - as i think something like this should be free anyways. Prestashop should have already coded this into their release IMO. Very simple, this takes your old friendly URL name and 301 redirects to whatever your current friendly URL product name is. Nothing fancy, and it's only for product URLs (for now). I was getting tons of duplicates on Google, etc. Couldn't take it any more - and this works great. Tested in PS 1.2.5, i make no guarantees about anything. You can check it out yourself, its only a few lines of code and very simple. For support, please visit http://www.dreemusa.com/ Enjoy.
