  1. I'd like it if someone could give me a hand or nudge me in the right direction to get Innerfade working with my PS install. Basically, I need to get rotating ads working on my WP site and PS site. They work fine on the WP site with ads for Signs ASAP and Window Tinting rotating through correctly as can be seen here: http://www.thestickyrings.com/about-us/ Unfortunately however, they do not work here: http://shop.thestickyrings.com This is my PS install. My code calls in the two scripts (jQuery and Innerfade) and then calls a 3rd script called ads.js which contains the variables for Innerfade. In my WP install I just call the 2 core files and then have the ads.js script in my head section and not called externally, but this doesn't work in my PS header.tpl. I have tried embedding it with {literal}...{/literal} around them but this also doesn't work. Help greatly appreciated. I can provide exact code if required.
  2. Hi all. I'm beginning to integrate my site (http://shop.thestickyrings.com) with the Moneybookers payment gateway so that I can accept the Irish laser cards. Unfortunately, I have tried Moneybookers payment module Version 1.0 and 1.4 which for some reason do not work. What happens is, the customer goes through buying process, chooses Moneybookers and then pays successfully, but when the module redirects the user back to the history page, the order has not been validated and so it doesn't appear in the back office, nor do I receive a sales report. As I am using PrestaShop Version, I don't think I can use the Moneybookers module Version 1.6. I know that it says it is compatible with version 1.3 of PS, but how seeing as it isn't grouped under the Payment modules tab in 1.3? Here's the link to that Module: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/payments-gateways/1747-moneybookers.html Basically, I need help as soon as possible which will allow me to properly validate orders using the Moneybookers module with the back office. Thanks, Cian
  3. I have actually resolved this issue. I simply updated the PHP memory and file upload sizes and limits. It allows the process to run for longer and consume more memory as required, thus allowing the import to complete. These settings are based in the php.ini file, but if you do not have access to these or are on shared hosting etc. I would contact your hosting provider about it.
  4. This module may now be released for free once it is ready.
  5. Hi, just wondering what the difference between the {$base_dir} and {$base_dir_ssl} functions are? Obviously I can understand the basics that one is SSL enforced and one not, but does the SSL one just display the normal one in the case of SSL not being used? Reason I ask is that we are building a theme which doesn't enforce a full SSL connection as it displays secure and non secure items. I use htaccess to enforce the entire site to use SSL which works perfect with the default prestashop theme, but doesn't for the above reason with our theme. Any help appreciated. Cian
  6. Hi All, First of all, I will give you the specifications of the install: PrestaShop Version: 1.3.6 PHP Version: 5.2.6 MySQL Version: 5.0.51b Apache Version: 2.2.8 All the above are running on a WAMP install. Now, the error. I am attempting to import a product catalog of 4,521 products into the install. In order for this to run smoothly, I have split the import into 41 different CSV files. Ranging from 5 products minimum in 1 sheet up to a maximum limit of 150 products per sheet. The import is only importing 7 fields: Category, Name, Price Tax Incl., Image, Custom Feature 1, Custom Feature 2 and Reference #. The issue arises during the import. A CSV with 30 products imports just fine, but one with 90 products fails at 76 and one with 146 fails at 87. For some reason they are not importing any more and then the backend import screen fails and just shows the header and footer but with a blank tiny content area as if the page didn't fully load! I find it very strange as the CSV with 146 products previously gave no problem during import but now limits to importing 87 products! Has anybody every had this occur or something similar, and if so, how did you fix it?? PS: Before anyone asks, I have upped the memory limits in PHP.ini such as: upload_max_filesize; max_input_time; memory_limit; max_execution_time; post_max_size. None of this has worked. Thanks, Cian
  7. Yes, this is my intention. There has been some changes in how payment modules are made in 1.4, so it will require time and work and just at the minute unfortunately I do not have the time at the minute. Once I do I will be looking into it.
  8. Thread hijack not intended but if anyone is looking for RealEx modules, please see my link below for sone new info :-) http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/100332/third_party_modules/realex_modules_for_prestashop__update
  9. Hey guys, I have just posted this: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/100332/third_party_modules/realex_modules_for_prestashop__update Hope this helps / sheds light etc.
  10. Hello everyone, As some of you may know, I am developing RealEx Payment Modules for PrestaShop. The 2 modules I am developing are: - RealEx Redirect Integration Method; - RealEx Remote Integration Method. Currently, I have not released these modules to the public yet, and I have decided that I will not be releasing on the forums, but on a website - http://www.realexforprestashop.com. Currently however, I do not feel that I am in a position to release these modules. They are currently at module versions 2.1 in my development scenarios (Although this will mean nothing to others) but have only been tested on PS V1.3.1.1. I know they do not work on PS V1.4. Given more time, I aim to test these modules on other versions from all the way up to 1.4 making any required changes necessary. I will aim to build up a substantial collection of modules which are stable for various versions of PrestaShop from onwards. The purpose of this message is to let everyone know that modules are in development and I would nearly consider having stable versions for V1.3.1.1 of PS. For reasons above, they are not on general release / sale yet, but will be released in the coming months at http://www.realexforprestashop.com. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM and I will try to reply to you as soon as possible.
  11. Hi everyone, I need a bit of help with wondering if some certain functionality is included in Prestashop and / or how it can be done. Here goes: Banner images: Ok so the idea is we want to have rotating banner images on the homepage of the online shop. It will be images which auto-rotate through the sequence of images. We already know that technically we can implement this with jQuery using jCarousel, but this is where the problem lies: We want the client to be able to add images and text for the images automatically to the backend using the prestashop admin interface. Can this be done and how? For example can it work like WordPress Custom Post Types etc.???? Main menu dropdowns: The idea here is that our main navigation menu will have items which could be CMS pages, categories etc. Can we auto add these through prestashop? We again will be implementing this with jQuery BUT we don't want to have to manually add page items to the menu code each time we add them in the admin facility. Is this possible via prestashop shortcodes etc.???? ALL HELP IS EXTREMELY APPRECIATED.

  13. Hi everyone. From what I see this is a fairly common issue. Basically we are developing a shop for a client and the categories block in left menu is where the customers can navigate to the products sections. We are developing this on a local WAMP server and sometimes the block disappears or certain categories disappear. Is this a common issue with local servers? I have uploaded it to a staging server (a VPS) and it seems to not be happening as much (if at all). Just wondering does anybody know why this happens? Is it just a server issue depending on the power of the server? Thanks, Cian
  14. Hi, I have developed a payment module and one bit that i'm putting into version 1.1 is that no matter what currency you checkout in, you only pay in the shop default currency. This is needed in order to successfully complete the transaction through the merchant account. I have implented it so that the amount changes. My problem is this: I make the amount sent to the merchant to be the same as the default currency amount by dividing or multiplying it by the conversion rate from the default currency and then rounding it to 2 decimal places. In MOST cases this works, BUT in some cases it rounds to 1 cent wrong. Although it is only 1 cent, the order does not process as successful in PrestaShop unless it is the EXACT same. What I need to know is, is there a way of getting the cart total but IN THE DEFAULT CURRENCY?? For example: $originalamount = floatval($cart->getOrderTotal(true, 3)); This gets the total of the cart in decimal format (i.e 474.50) BUT it only gets it in whatever currency you have selected. If it was £474.50 but was €572.03 in euros I need to have something like the code above to get the amount in the default currency no matter what currency is selected. Can someone please tell me a way to do this???
