  1. Thanks for the suggestions. I've managed to sort it by deleting and reinstalling the module and then unhooking one of the hooks that did nothing on the previous installation. Not ideal, and I've lost a number of reviews as a result, but a least it's sorted now!
  2. Thanks for the response and advice Vince but it's really not that simple. I've tried unhooking all of the positions but it remains in the same place. I don't know why it is being hooked there and the module developer isn't replying to messages.
  3. Thanks for the reply olkuznw but it's actually a paid for module called 'Advanced Reviews' (can be found here) and the "displayRightColumnProduct" hook is actually the one below the main product description. I've tried unhooking all of the hooks and it's still there. Any other ideas?
  4. I'm having trouble unhooking a reviews module from the payment display on products pages and wondered if anyone can help. If you look at the attached image you will see that the review stars and 'Write a Review' are appearing underneath the paypal button, but it isn't associated with any of the hooks for the reviews module. I've tried removing every hook and it just remains. I have no idea why it is there but it only appeared after i installed the most recent update for the module. Can anyone help me banish it? Thanks, Stuart
  5. Hi Statuesque, We went down the paid module route for our Worldpay payment system. It was pricey but it's been stable and was easy to set up. The only reason I want to change is that I don't like the redirect to Worldpay's 1990's looking gateway. I shall look into the new module you mentioned. Is it the Worldpay Payment Gateway Module for £54.99? That's a very reasonable price but i'll need to investigate the PCI compliance issue that you mentioned as there's no point in paying for something that I may not be able to use. If I recall, there are a number of highly detailed documents to be completed in order to become PCI compliant.
  6. Hi good people of the prestashop forum. I've already tried to contact the developer about this and had no response so am turning to the general community for help. I'm really annoyed at myself for not managing to work this fairly simple question out but where do i change the heading for each of the smartblog blocks displayed on the category pages? As an example, let's say I want to change the current setting of h2 to h4 on the 'Recent Articles' block. I thought i could go to modules/smartblogpopularposts/views/templates/front/smartblogpopularposts.tpl and simply change h2 to h4 but this hasn't worked. I can't find the file i need to change anywhere. It's clear that each block needs to be changed individually and once I am pointed to one I'm sure i'll be able to find the others, but where to look? Thanks in advance, Stuart

  8. Thank you so much for posting a solution to this. Saving changes to or adding new products had become steadily unbearable as nothing was saving. You could redo something 10 times and it might save once if you were lucky. I was honestly close to calling it a day with prestashop. The solution above has solved this problem. Every change is saving first time now! Can't thank you enough!
  9. We have never had any of our sales show as validated in the back office and the stats on the dashboard have therefore never shown any graphs etc. Today we realised that when a customer collects a product from us instead of opting for it to be delivered, the sale shows as validated when we mark it as 'collected' in our statuses. Our paypal sales also show once we select 'authorization accepted from paypal.' However, no other sales from our customers are being validated. We have, of course, selected 'consider the associated order as validated' from the checklist in 'order confirmation' and 'order dispatched' but this isn't making any difference. Any thoughts? Stuart
  10. Okay, so I didn't realise I had to manually select 'authorization accepted from paypal' in the status box of the orders area every time a new sale came through in order to generate all of the above. I don't understand why that isn't happening automatically but that's a different question so I'm going to set this as solved.
  11. We've recently installed and started using the Prestashop Official Europe Paypal module. I have checked the 'Direct Sales' choice under Payment Type in the module. I thought that this would ensure the payment would be automatically processed in the back office 'orders' area meaning that the invoice would be generated, the stock would decrease and the payment section would show that paypal had been used and authorised. However, we are having to manually authorise every sale by selecting the 'authorization accepted from paypal' option in the status box. Unusually, the module is also automatically confirming payment and dispatch. Emails are sent to the customer as soon as the sale is completed, 'order dispatched' first followed just a few seconds later by 'order confirmation.' It doesn't matter what the 'authoization accepted from paypal' status is set to, even if all the boxes are unchecked, the emails still send! Any help greatly appreciated.
  12. Well I've installed the older version and that has taken care of the issue of a bank box appearing on the invoice, so thanks Eleazar. But, all the other issues still remain. The customer instantly receives a 'payment confirmation' and an 'ordered dispatched' email even though the order has not been updated to dispatched. No payment method is recorded in the 'orders' section of the back office and the stock isn't being decreased in the warehouse. I know it's a free module and I shouldn't complain but I'm sick of having to change code in modules to make them work properly.
  13. I think I'll have a go at installing the old module as I'm having a number of issues with the current module anyway so it'll be interesting to see if it sorts those out too. No invoices are being generated when someone pays with paypal and the 'payment' information block in the 'orders' section of the back office is blank, as if no payment has been received. I can update it manually but the module should be doing it automatically. This module has caused nothing but trouble, driving me crazy!
