  1. I was able to change the email footer globally.

    1) change in mail folder in root folder

    2)mail folder in theme

    3) mail folder in all modules sub folder because modules can have there own mail template

    The task can be done easily via notepad++ or sublime or eclipse software - all are free

    Clear cache and recompile template

    You check my changes at www.abhishekproducts.in

  2. when you go with ftp to your folder mails -. your language

    open this folder and you go to a mail you know you have edited

    vieuw this one <on your server>

    is this a email you have edited ? or just the original one ?

    i have edited the email file at the location

    since i have only one language the base folder had "mails" available directly

    my website is abhishekproducts.in

  3. hi ,

    and to change the templates

    Look for the folder Mails

    your server-> Prestashop - > Mails

    in these folder you find all the emails

     Unable to change the email footer. as instructed i changes all the files of email template with my custom text n links.

    but the emails have not been updated, i have tried clearing cache, recompiling templates

    the email only updates if i change it via prestashop back office feature under translation tab. its a manual and time taking process to cahnge it this way.

    where  am i going wrong ?

  4. hey guys i found this

    i think this can solve the problem but when i tried it it shows the following

    Warning! Your PHP configuration limits the maximum number of fields allowed in a form
    2000 for max_input_vars.
    Please ask your hosting provider to increase this limit to 2171 at least, or you will have to edit the translation files.

  5. Hi marky,

    You can do that all through the area in the Back Office I mentioned above:

    Please let me know if this works for you.

    hey followed your approach was able to change the the desired.

    my requirement is that i want to change the footer of the email accross all the mails that is sent. there are 50 plus email templates in out of the box prestashop. how can i change the footer for all of them at once.

  6. As far as I can tell, if you visit the link http://abhishekproducts.in/sitemap.xml, this automatically redirects to http://abhishekproducts.in/1_index_sitemap.xml, which contains all possible language sitemaps generated for your store (at the moment though, it only references an English sitemap, but if in the future you add more languages it should contain the corresponding sitemap files as well).

    I don't think you have to do anything, as is. Have you tried submitting the http://abhishekproducts.in/sitemap.xml sitemap URL in GWT? It didn't work as expected?

    i wrote a rewrite rule in htaccess file. so sitemap.xml routes to www.abhishekproducts.in/1_index_sitemap.xml . that solved the problem.

    also i was able to submit /sitemap.xml to web master and it was successfull.

  7. Hello

    I would like to rename or generate a site map named "sitemap.xml" via "google sitemap" module

    Presently it generated the site map named as "http://abhishekproducts.in/1_en_0_sitemap.xml" i would like to replace that with "http://abhishekproducts.in/sitemap.xml"

    reason -

    for SEO optimization, as generally the crawlers look for file at domain.com/sitemap.xml. having a custom name forces me to manually configure the same at the webmaster tools of search engine services repeatedly.

    My store link - Abhishek Products

  8. hello
    i am running abhishekproducts.in
    and on page insight i get eh following after trying the above code
    http://abhishekproducts.in/…v_21_fabd4c2f1733c0f44832f54b3d1530b5.js could save 151.5KiB (69% reduction).

    and  the header for the same js shows this

    Response header for uncompresses JS

    1. Accept-Ranges:
    2. Cache-Control:
    3. Connection:
    4. Content-Length:
    5. Content-Type:

    8. Last-Modified:

    9. Server:
    10. Vary:
    Where as the compress CSS shows this
    1. Cache-Control:
    2. Connection:
    3. Content-Encoding:
      gzip<------------------------------------look at this
    4. Content-Type:
    5. Date:

    6. Expires:

    8. Server:

    11. Vary:
    so as you see the JS is not getting compresses where as the CSS and other html files are getting compresses.
    Any one any ideas on this ?
  9. I think you need to edit the Find method of the Search class.

    I haven't tested it, but this might be a clue. At about line 237 you have

    		foreach ($intersect_array as $query)
    			$eligible_products2 = array();
    			foreach ($db->executeS($query) as $row)
    				$eligible_products2[] = $row['id_product'];
    			$eligible_products = array_intersect($eligible_products, $eligible_products2);
    			if (!count($eligible_products))
    				return ($ajax ? array() : array('total' => 0, 'result' => array()));

    As you can see, it's intersecting the result of each keyword result. This means only products matching all keywords are eligible. try changing this, perhaps using array_merge! :)

    Thank you so much, If there are any other fixes/patches possible please let us know. Would be happy to test/try them.

  10. Did this solution work, PrestaFanBoy? I'm interested too in improving the search functionality.

    Yup , it does work but am not sure about the quality of search. earlier on entering a a invalid keyword i received 0 result even when relevant keywords where present in the search string.

    now  I get abundant results while few being relevant

     i guess its a trade off worth making, some thing better than nothing
