1. I just looked around and discovered this 'Carts' tab where it looks like something gets created when people simply browse my store. All the items have had a $5 shipping fee added and I can't figure out where that's coming from, I need to get rid of it!
2. Are there instructions somewhere on how to do this? I offer free shipping to the continental US on all my items, outside of that customers get a custom shipping quote. Would I just set up a bogus carrier with 'any price over $0 is free shipping'?
3. No, that didn't seem to work for me. As an example, I want to always have 'VA Sales Tax' selected. I did a search on that .php file (ObjectModel) and I did not see anything about 'tax'. I want the location to always be Hanover VA, but I didn't see anything about 'Location' in that .php file.
4. I am going to try this tonight after dinner, will note 'solved' if it works. Thanks again!
5. Yay! I'll update this thread if it works, I have to check Google Shopping first, though. My feed just processed after I brought the .xml file up in Microsoft Word, did a find and replace on the word 'new' and changed it to 'used'. **This might not work for everyone, especially folks who sell new electronics and other products and might use the word 'new' in their item descriptions a lot, but it might work for sellers like me who offer vintage/used items.** Alright, it worked. Just found some of my items on Google Shopping and they are showing as 'used' instead of 'new'. So if you think it will work for you just do a find and replace on your .xml file that gets created by this module and then save it again before uploading it to Google Merchant Center.

7. Anyone else out there using this module? If so do you know of a way to tweak the feed to change the condition to 'Used' or 'Vintage' instead of 'New'? I deal in antiques and collectibles, none of which are 'New'. I mean people (I hope) can see the description and see the pictures and know the items are vintage (not new), it just bothers me when I see 'New' and I know that's not the case.
8. Is there a file I can modify somewhere that will allow me to hardwire certain information so that I don't have to keep typing the same information over and over when I add products? For example, I only have one sales tax rate I need to use. The location is always going to be the same place. The less I have to type the faster I can get my items added from my old Opencart store. Oh gosh and my old eCrater store, I forgot I still have items there too! OK, plus I'm lazy.
9. Just to let other folks know, I did get the module mentioned above (see link in the EDIT paragraph/sentence) to work with 1.3.
10. Yay, that worked! Now if I can just get the darned feed uploaded to Google--it keeps whining about not having a condition or price attribute on the items. I didn't see where to add those! Still looking for that, though!
11. Can someone please tell me what this RSS feed error means: A semi colon character was expected. Line: 16 Character: 211 Vintage cookbook compiled by the members of the Rockville Community Center
12. I will so try that, thank you very much. I will add though that I think submitting to Google Base is a necessary thing, anything PrestaShop can do to help folks do that would be very helpful to a LOT of people. Just something I'm tossing out there to consider. And as always I very much appreciate your kind responses to my questions. Have a wonderful evening!
13. Well, what do people do to get their products listed in Google Shopping?
14. So, where would I find the RSS feed for my store? What I'm going for here is something similar to what I'm doing now in my other store--go to the RSS feed, save it as an .xml file on my desktop and then manually submit THAT file to Google Base.
15. Did you ever get this problem resolved?
16. I do have the Generate RSS Feed module installed, but I can't figure out how to actually generate the feed. Is submitting to Google Base even possible with PrestaShop?
17. I've got a fair (I think) number of items that I would love to be able to import to my store here, has anyone here ever imported items from an OpenCart store?
18. Sorry, I'm still learning my way around how to search the forum here--would someone please tell me where to find information on how to do the RSS feed thing so I can submit my products to Google Base? Thank you for your time.
19. I want to thank you so very much for your help! I can now concentrate more on adding actual products to the store. This is exactly why I'm moving my store to another platform, the one I'm currently on, well, responses on the forum have started to become quite rude and I just don't do rude. Thank you again, I really appreciate it.
20. http://backinthedayantiquesandcollectibles.com Thanks! I'll check back in and work on this some more when I get home from work this evening.
21. Oooh, I just tried that and it didn't work. I am wondering if it's a thing with the template I'm using. I'll probably have to contact the people I purchased the template from.
22. LOL! As usual, I make it more complicated than I need to! Thank you for your help, I am really looking forward to using PrestaShop and getting my new store going. Have a wonderful day, and thanks again!
