  1. Hi Dioniz. If I press "reset" on the front office Theme COnfigurator, it just sets it back to the original colours. The background is a checkerboard graduated grey. Regards Greg
  2. Hi guys What is the best way to backup absolutely everything in my Prestashop environment? I have installed Prestashop in its own folder called "prestashop". Is it just a simple matter of copying the entire "prestashop" folder and sub folders and backing up the MySQL database via the backend? Is that it? Thanks Regards Greg
  3. Hi guys I would like to create an additional page on my site that contains a number "links" to videos stored on Youtube and have the link to the page located at the bottom (footer) of my Home Page (www.greghanley.com.au/prestashop). When the pages is displayed, it would be great to have a series of "buttons/images" displayed for a each of the videos that are defined on the page and when the user clicks them, the video is displayed..... Alternatively, is there a way to attached a "link" to a product so that I could create a "category" called "Videos" and simply create dummy "product" records for each of the videos??? Thanks for your help. Regards Greg
  4. HI guys Can somebody please provide me with a step by step way to change the background colour of my default template? Here is a link to my site. You will see that the default background is a graduate white to light grey and I would like it to be all white. www.greghanley.com.au/prestashop Also, I have tried to use the "front end theme configurator" that allows you to change the background and other colours, but it appears that it does not make the changes permanent...is this correct? I also seem to remember that I saw a post somewhere about adding additional colours/font combination to the "front end theme configurator" but I can't find it anywhere and if the changes are permanent, then it is of no use to me. Regards Greg
  5. Hi Guys I am running the latest version 1.6.0.9 of Prestashop and have been "playing around". Using the Backend, I went into "Customers/Shopping Cart" and received the following error: [PrestaShopException]Invalid address at line 359 in file classes/Address.php 353. if ($id_address)354. {355. $address = new Address((int)$id_address);356. 357. if (!Validate::isLoadedObject($address))358. throw new PrestaShopException('Invalid address');359. }360. else361. {362. // set the default address363. $address = new Address(); AddressCore::initialize - [line 1577 - classes/Cart.php] - [1 Arguments] CartCore->getGiftWrappingPrice - [line 1492 - classes/Cart.php] - [1 Arguments] CartCore->getOrderTotal - [line 1291 - classes/Cart.php] - [2 Arguments] CartCore::getTotalCart - [line 816 - controllers/admin/AdminCartsController.php] - [3 Arguments] AdminCartsControllerCore->getOrderTotalUsingTaxCalculationMethod - [line - ] - [2 Arguments] call_user_func_array - [line 307 - classes/helper/HelperList.php] - [2 Arguments] HelperListCore->displayListContent - [line 150 - classes/helper/HelperList.php] HelperListCore->generateList - [line 871 - controllers/admin/AdminCartsController.php] - [2 Arguments] AdminCartsControllerCore->renderList - [line 1759 - classes/controller/AdminController.php] AdminControllerCore->initContent - [line 180 - classes/controller/Controller.php] ControllerCore->run - [line 373 - classes/Dispatcher.php] DispatcherCore->dispatch - [line 54 - admin/index.php] Any ideas?   6. Hi Paul Thanks again. I have uploaded a screen shot and included some arrows to the "green highlight" I mentioned. I understand what you are saying. My last question is....if a theme that has been purchased has been designed to utilize specific modules, how do I know this? Regards Greg
  7. Hi Paul Thanks for the quick reply. Perhaps I am "over thinking" this. Ok, if I go to "Modules" in the bac koffice does it display all of the modules that are available as part of this installation. It shows if they are installed, disabled etc? Is this correct? It is them up to the individual theme to determine which of the modules it will utilize? I this correct? If a theme wants to use a module that is disabled or not installed etc, then some sort of error will be displayed? Is this correct? What does the "green" vertical highlight around the "checkbox" next to the module mean??? I wanted to upload a screen shot but couldn't see how. Thanks Regards Greg
  8. Hi, I need some help to understand how I determine which modules a theme uses. Is there a simple way to find this out? I am using version 1.6.0.9 of Prestashop and a template that I have purchased. Regards Greg
  9. Where is the original one located? I did change the configuration file back to the original database.
  10. Thanks That's what I thought. I'm trying to work through some major issues and I wanted to confirm. Regards Greg
  11. Can Prestashop coexist on the same webserver as Joomla and Hikashop? I am having big problems with getting a new Prestashop template working on my domain. The domain also has Joomla and Hikashop installed. I installed Prestashop in its own folder under the root. Is there an issue? Regards Greg
  12. I am not seeing what you are saying. Do you mean "Move JavaScript to the end" should be set to YES?
  13. Hi guys How do I reinstall the default template that comes as part of the Prestshop install? Regards Greg
  14. I manually changed the settings.inc.php file to point to the new database but it fails with the following error message. 500 Server ErrorOops, something went wrong. Try to refresh this page or feel free to contact us if the problem persists. I am finding that Prestashop whilst being a very sophisticated product is not very intuitive to use and configure. Regards Greg
  15. Hi Vekia I followed the instrcutions that were supplied with the template: http://www.templatemonster.com/help/quick-start-guide/prestashop-themes/v1-1/index_en.html I do not know how to determine which modules are "connected" to the default theme and/or my new theme...how do I do that? Also, I tried to use "live edit" via the "Modules/Positions" back end function to delete what I thought were the modules and whilst the theme now looks different (http://www.greghanley.com.au/prestashop/) it is still not the new theme. Please provide me with some detailed help. Thanks Regards Greg
  16. Thanks Vekia And there is no way to change this via the back end interface? Regards Greg
  17. Hi El Patron, How do I determine if a theme is "best in class"? Regards Greg
  18. Hi again I just finished manually deleting the Smarty cache folders and files and I still get the default Prestashop theme. I them deleted the theme via the backend and it still displays! Here is the data that is displayed: http://www.greghanley.com.au/prestashop/?live_configurator_token=28808ad5ca21f369f33ccda7b1026f28&id_employee=1&id_shop=1 This is driving me nuts! Help!
  19. Hi, I'm not using "multi-store" . I have tried deleting the cache via the Admin backend without success. I am now manually deleting the Smarty cache file directly from the server to see if that helps....I'll update this thread with my results. Regards Greg
  20. I know that this is an old thread but I cannot find a "settings.inc.php" file anywhere in the unzipped version of this install for Prestashop 1.6.0.9. Do I assume that it is created as part of the installation process? Are you telling me also that I can't change the data in this file via a nice user interface but can only change it by directly editing it??? Regards Greg
  21. Hi Guys I have installed the latest version of Prestashop (1.6.0.9) including the sample theme (it's called "default-bootstrap") and sample data. the data is in a database called "db1". I have purchased a new theme from templatemonster (let's called it "newtheme") that I want to be the default theme. It also comes with sample data that I have loaded into a database called "db2". I have installed "newtheme" and have set it as the default theme via the "preferences/themes" option in the backend. It says that it is "Your Current Theme". Unfortunately, it still displays the "default-bootstrap" theme instead of "newtheme". What am I doing wrong? I also want "newtheme" to connect to the database called "db2" as it contains the correct sample data. Help! Thanks Regards Greg
