  1. Yann, I understand what you are trying to say. If create a new product with a different value for a product, wouldn't the customer be able to buy the same product at different prices? How do we prevent customer from having the access to purchase the product at the new value? Do we untick "Available for order" at the product settings and it'll still be included in the gift list? There's something that I'd like to share with you if we only use gift redemption for the rewards program. Many customers would like to use the points to redeem the product partially and will want to pay for the balance. For instance, customers want to buy products valued at $10 by paying $5 and using rewards points that may "worth $5". So having the option of both voucher and gift might address this situation. The only work around that I can think of is combining your suggestion of creating products with new value and determine the rewards/conversion rate. These are are just my thoughts. Hope it gives you some idea. Look forward for your update. Cheers.
  2. Yann, I think it is a fantastic idea to build a gifts list in admin that the customer will be able to buy directly from the products page, without needing to transform the rewards into voucher first. With this, we can set a specific amount of points/rewards to redeem the products. I do understand that it won't be possible to partially buy the product with the rewards if the customer has not enough points/rewards. Yes, it can be a nightmare especially if we need to take tax into consideration, etc. However, I don't think you should remove the process which requires to transform rewards into cash voucher. The customer should always have the option to use the rewards as voucher to deduct in the cart or use the rewards to redeem a product IF they have sufficient points/rewards. This will be beneficial for both the customer and the seller. For instance, when a customer purchases for $100, we can give 1000 points (10 pts for every $1). If we have both the voucher and gift redemption system, we can setup in a way where customer can redeem any products that requires 1000 points (maybe worth $10), or they can convert the 1000 pts into $1 cash voucher to be used in the cart. For customer, they will see it as 10% worth of rewards if they redeem product and for the seller, the cost of giving away product "worth" $10 is more cost effective than actually giving $10 voucher. I'm using this form of redemption/rewards in my offline business and the customer are very happy with it. If this function can be made online together with the ability to generate vouchers, than, it'll be a great module indeed! Hope my suggestion helps. Look forward for your update!
  3. Hello, How can I identify the exchange rate of a particular order that was transacted on a specific date. I'd like to show this info at the back office in the "Orders" so that it is easier for the finance team to do their accounting. I'm not too sure which table I should refer to for the exchange rate that was used a specific order. Thanks.
  4. Hi, I actually un-checked one of the country so that PayPal module won't be available for customers from that particular country. However, PayPal still appears for the un-checked country. I tried restricting the module by currency but it only give radio button and I cannot select multiple currency. Appreciate if someone can give some suggestions.
  5. I tried investigating the error log in FTP and also turned on the developer mode to re-created the error. Both returned the following error message: >>>> Warning: require_once(/home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/classes/AvaCert2Svc/LeoFrameworkHelper.class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/AvaTax.php on line 22 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/classes/AvaCert2Svc/LeoFrameworkHelper.class.php' (include_path='/home/alternic/public_html/tools/htmlpurifier/standalone:.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/AvaTax.php on line 22 >>>> This reminds me that I had an issue whereby my whole website was almost inaccessible intermittently and the hosting company told me that the error was due to a missing module called AvalaraTax. I remember we were testing this module for our cross border shipping but it was not suitable. We then removed the module and the problem seem to start from there. When we re-installed the module, the website was accessible as usual but the problem with the cart seems to be persistent and based on the error log, there is a missing file that causing the problem. Appreciate if you can let me know how do we go about it. Thanks.
  6. Hello Vekia, I tried investigating the error log in FTP as per your advice. I also turned on the developer mode and re-created the error and got this message: >>>> Warning: require_once(/home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/classes/AvaCert2Svc/LeoFrameworkHelper.class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/AvaTax.php on line 22 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/classes/AvaCert2Svc/LeoFrameworkHelper.class.php' (include_path='/home/alternic/public_html/tools/htmlpurifier/standalone:.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/alternic/public_html/modules/avalaratax/sdk/AvaTax.php on line 22 >>>> This reminds me that I had an issue whereby my whole website was almost inaccessible intermittently and the hosting company told me that the error was due to a missing module called AvalaraTax. When we re-installed the module, the website was accessible as usual but the problem with the cart seems to be persistent and based on the error log, there is a missing file that causing the problem. How do you suggest we rectify the problem? Appreciate your assistance. Thanks.
  7. I have inserted the GTM code with literal but the Analytics that I setup in the GTM doesn't seem to be firing correctly. Tag assistant says that the Tag not fired through GTM & Code found outside of <head> tag. {literal} <!-- Google Tag Manager --> <noscript><iframe src="//www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=GTM-XXXXXX" height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden"></iframe></noscript> <script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start': new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0], j=d.createElement(s),dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;j.src= '//www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id='+i+dl;f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f); })(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-XXXXXX');</script> <!-- End Google Tag Manager --> {/literal} Also, how does a GTM code should look like when we view in under page source? <noscript><iframe src="//www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=GTM-XXXXXX" Hope some one can help. 8. How do we make sure that each of X item will get Y item free? For example, if a person buys 2 of X items, he should get 2 of Y items free. When I set the cart rule, it only give 1 Y item free. Appreciate if anyone can shed some light.
