  1. Hi all, I am trying to remove the links for category pages on the top menu bar. I have used this code to disable, and it works well for the class sf-with-ul. I am using below code. $(document).ready(function(){ $('.sf-with-ul').bind('click', false); }); However it seems that there is no Class on the mobile theme, which is why this command is ignored. So seems that there is a problem somewhere in the. What is setting the class for the mobile theme top menu (like the one called sf-with-ul) for the desktop. When I minimize the window and inspect, I get no name. It just says a 470x40, where the larger says a.sf-with-ul?! So I trust I need to go and find some missing code somewhere? But where? Hope someone can help. Br. Brian
Mvh. Brian
  5. Did anyone ever find out what the problem is? As I have the same problem. Language links are linking to http site
  6. Just for anyone to have any use of this, I figured out what was wrong. It was a language/currency detection module that took the site back to http: I just disabled the module, so will need to live without
  7. Hi guys, I sincerely hope that you can point me in the right direction. I am running prestashop 1.5.6.2 and have recently changed to SSL. I have enabled force SSL on all pages in the back office, and it works well, all pages shows as hppts. I have enabled that www version is always to be used as well. However I have some issues with our google listings and placements, that I suspect may be from a confusing redirect. if I call the site example.com it has the following route: http://example.com https://example.com http://www.example.com https://www.example.com In this case it first forces https on the page then goes back to http and put the www on, and then back to https ?! I am sure that has to do with the url setting in prestashop. The domain i specified as www.example.com in the section shop url and it also shows that the final url will be http://www.example.com, not https and that I cannot change. Where do I have the possibility to skip the redirect back to http? Also if i call a specific address, e.g. https://www.example.com it takes me back to http://www.example.com and then to https://www.example.com again I am suspecting this is done in the htaccess file. It has the http_host, not sure if that should be different ? Hope you can help. Thans and best regards Brian
  8. Hi - thanks for all the good responses. That is perfect. i will rethink what to do, but in order to stop this, I have done the following: I edited the file contact controller.php in controllers/front/ In the beginning of the file: public function postProcess() { if (Tools::isSubmit('submitMessage')) { I replaced with: public function postProcess() { if (Tools::isSubmit('submitMessageblablablba')) { It means it will never send anything. That stopped the stream of spam coming in. I have edited the contact page just to include email contact, and no longer by form. Br. Brian
  9. Hi all, I have a serious problem currently. I am being bombarded by emails from my own contactform. I can see that this is not new, but I have tried everything. I have deleted the contactform in the contactform tpl in the theme, so no form or button anymore. It stills comes in. I trust it is in the contactcontroller somewhere. I have tried to put this below into the override: <?php class ContactController extends ContactControllerCore { public function postProcess() { if (Tools::isSubmit('submitMessage')) {die('Form disabled');} else parent::postProcess(); //return null; } } Doesnt seem to help. It seems that ContactControllerCore is not recognised. Can anyone please guide me in any direction. Can I just delete the contactcontroller. Seems there is nothing to be done about this ?? Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi all - I am not sure if you can help, however I am configuring a multishop and need to reprogramme the .htaccess. I have a shop on "somedomain.com" where languages are /da, /sv, /en - so somedomain.com/da for danish. I now created a multishop where I have somedomain.dk/da - and I want to redirect all traffic from customers coming from somedomain.com/da/whatever to somedomain.dk/da/whatever..... Usually that should be quite easy, but I guess something in the .htaccess file generated by prestashop is creating problems. I get too many redirects - and I have tried all kind of redirects ??! I am sure this should be very easy, but can anyone help me ?? So basically, if this is called: somedomain.com/da/whatever - I want to sent it to somedomain.dk/da/whatever I have placed the .htaccess content for reference below. Any ideas are more than welcome. 11. Hi Rocky, thanks for this. I will try to change this in near future and reactivate the certificate on the server to test again. I will repost back. Again thanks for your help, I sincerely appreciate this.
  12. Hi Rocky, Thanks for using your time on my problem. I did enable SSL, however the button enable on all pages doesnt exist in my version?! Enabling SSL should at least have been giving me the option on the account page /my-account - all the options here are also linking to http only. I guess you are right, the theme doesnt support. There has been quite a few problems with that anyway, so why not also this How do I double check that the theme would not support?? Should be something where with the href ?? I think it would require too much to nail this, compared to start all over I guess...I guess a lot need to be corrected.
  13. Hi all, I sincerely hope that someone can help on this matter. I have this shop installed for quite some time, and would like to change to https on the complete site. I purchased a certificate and had it installed on the server. In order to make a test, what we did was to enable SSL in prestashop. We have the SSL domain set to www.randomsite.com I changed nothing in the .htaccess file. I tried to call the address https://www.randomsite.com/en/ - and it responds and is showing okay. I notice that the SSL is broken and there is a warning. All links on the site, e.g. products are redirecting to the http version, not the https one, so this is why the ssl is broken. We have a slider minic, that one is linking correct to the product using https. So, my question is, 1. why are the product links redirecting to http://www...... and not https://www..... ??? I am sure it is basic for most, but I simply dont know where to start and end figuring out what is controlling that. I have also tried to log into the customer account, and recall this using https I reloaded the page https://www.randomsite.com/en/my-account Just to see if the links to order history would be calling https, but the do not redirect to https version. 2. What am I missing ?? I sincerely hope someone can help on this. Br. Brih
  14. Hi all, Hope someone knows the answer to this question: In prestashop you can deactivate a product, and when calling this directly it will be redirected to a page saying product not found, as well as it will not show up in product lists etc. I want the product to be visible even when deactivated when it is called directly, e.g. www.test.com/product/35-thisproduct.html But not showing up in a list in categories. I would imagine that the active field in the database controls this in the file product.tpl in the theme ?? Right or way off ?? There must be a condition if active=1 then show this or send to not found ?? Somewhere - does someone knows where that is ?? Hope to hear from you guys. Thanks in advance
  15. Okay, thanks for looking at this. I guess I will have to ask the template programmer on this one - once again, thanks
  16. Hi there, thanks for taking the time to look at this. The url is squashgearpro.com
  17. Hi all, I will again try to post a question of a problem I have with my Prestashop theme. I my top menu I only have a few overall categories, and I want this to collapse as late as possible, since I want the categories to be indexed on teh front page by the google bot, however the googlebot sets the screen size low when visiting, meaning that it see the page with a collapsed top menu. How can I change the points where the top menu collapses ?? Can anyone help ? Just a guide where this happens ? Thanks in advance.
  18. Did you look to put links to categories on your home page ?? Or ?? I am thinking to do teh same by adding some categories in the bottom of the features products module. This is just for SEO as my menu bar is collapsing too soon. Not sure if that helps, but you can change the featured product module to do so.
  19. Hi all, tried to post some questions a while back, but really seems that no one had the same issues, at least of the people passing by. I now try to ask different - I want to change the points of screen settings where the responsive theme is collapsing to become smaller. Can anyone tell me where this is controlled. There must be a check looking for screen size. My top horizontal menu only has a few items, and it collapse to the mobile version too fast. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
  20. BUMP - ?? There must be someone that has the same problem... I guess this is one of the reasons why the indexing of categories at the prestashop themes is poor by google ??! The googlebot sets the screen at 1024x768 but prestashop collapse already at 1230 px, meaning that the menu links are not indexed at the front page.... Can someone tell me if this can be adjusted so it colapse the menu below 1024 ??
  21. Hi all, Just have a simple question where someone may be able to guide me in the right direction. The top menu bar on my site will expand and collapse depending on the screen size. If i maximize the window, I can see 4 top categories, if I drag it a bit smaller, it collapse into a drop down menu box (or so) where only 'Categories+' are visible. That is fine, however I only have a few menu items, so I would like to wait a bit longer before it collapse the menu. Which module/file controls and determines at which size this should collapse, and can I adjust this somehow ?? I have actually heard that the googlebot drops by with a lower setting, so It will not fetch the categories below the 'Categories+' directly. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Br. Brian
  22. Hi Well actually the default language, in each prestashop installation I guess, will mean that the url without the language snip, will link to a page that can be found with the actual language. E.g. the default language is English, so the page www.thissite.com will be in english as well as www.thissite.com/en/ So at least one of languages will be identical. I read at google that they do not recommend to fix this by robots.txt It would be easy though. I tested these and the below would really work: Disallow: /*.html Allow: /en/*.html That will disallow all product pages that ends with a .html - which they will have with the url rewrite that comes with prestashop, unless they have the language snip. I just wonder why google do not recommend this . Anyway, maybe there would be a way to do the same in the .htaccess file ?? WOuld you know ? Thanks
  23. Hi guys, I hope someone here can help. I have a prestashop site and was wondering about the double content. I have now found a product on google, with different url's. As an example i have the following: www.mysite.com/this-product.html www.mysite.com/en/this-product.html www.mysite.com/de/this-product.html I really want the products indexed with the language, so I am planning to use either robots.txt to remove all products in teh database, however I was just wondering if I can make a disallow a bit more clever than that ?! E.g. I want to disallow all urls that doesnt contain the /en/ or /de/ part and I want to allow url if they actually have the /en/ or /de/ As a suggestion would this work ? Disallow : /* Allow : /en/* Allow: /de/* Has anyone any experience with that ? Or any warnings. All input is sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  24. Just an update - I really cannot find any problems in the DB or any settings that should be wrong. I guess this is a part of prestashop. So the customer of shop A is able to log-in in both shop A and Shop B. He will create a basket in shop A which is correct, and only show in shop A, and he can also create a basket in shop B that will only show in shop B. All in all, that will not destroy anything, but here is where it gets messy. If the same customer that has an account in shop A creates an account in shop B, using the same email address it seems that when logging in, it finds the corresponding customer number where the shop id matches, so even if different delivery addresses were created, it would not hurt anything. BUT - if he forgets the password in shop A, and resets this to a random, he is actually still able to log in using the password from the account he has in shop B. To me, this is either a bug somewhere in prestashop, or something must have gone wrong when I created the multistore ?? The multistory was created on a running shop with orders and customers in shop A, choosing not to share customers and orders... Just thought that info may trigger something Thanks for any time or considerations.
