  1. Subhead: Calculating specific prices by aggregate quantities of qualifying products Example: If I create a rule that states a cart containing X products in a certain category should receive a discount, I would expect that any two products from that category would mean my cart qualifies for that specific price. This is why I've always found it strange why specific prices for Catalog Price Rules don't aggregate the quantities of all qualifying products. Currently the PS cart will only use the quantity of each individual product to check specific price qualification. In relation to my example; one unit each of X products which match the category requirement would not qualify. For me this is counter intuitive and limits the usefulness of Catalog Price Rules - what do you guys think?
  2. Thanks Paul! - spent an hour fiddling with tinymce.inc.js before finding your solution.
  3. Just updating my previous post with some impressive speed gains and no nasty hacks. After spin times of ~25 seconds on PS1.6.1.1 on Windows IIS, I replicated my site with mods, overrides, products etc. on an Azure Ubuntu server running PS1.6.1.2. Spin times on the product save buttons are now down to ~5 seconds!
  4. Same problem here since, now running Each tab takes about 1.8 seconds to load with the save buttons becoming available after 25 seconds. I've got about 500 products, have combinations switched off and am not seeing seeing any ajax errors. I've also tried the GitHub patch without any improvement. Is something Prestashop Manager or Commander the only solution here to make product editing viable?
  5. Bump - is this not a common issue for others? The catalog price rules would imply that the criteria apply to products in the category, not just a single product, or am I just not understanding it correctly?
  6. I'm on a completely vanilla install of for the purposes of testing specials pricing. No overrides, custom themes, non-default modules. I have created a category and a catalog price rule that sets the base price to $X which kicks in when 2 products from that category have been added to the cart. I had assumed that adding ANY 2 products from that category would enact the rule, however the rule only applies when 2 of the SAME product is added and is only applied to that product. Below is a screenshot of the price rule:
  7. An option to combine catalog and product rules would be great, similar to the cart rules "compatibility with other cart rules".
  8. Thanks. I've learned that the host (Ultima) had some massive network outage so hoping that is the cause and it will be resolved quickly.
  9. Hi, my store is completely unreachable via FTP, PHPMyAdmin, store back and front ends After running the upgrade through the 1 click module, the server said it was successful and the front end performed normally. 5 minutes later, all network access is timing out. Has anyone had a similar issue? EDIT/UPDATE: The host was the issue, not prestashop
  10. I'd like to know if it's possible to combine specific price rules and catalog price rules where they both apply to a product? At the moment, only the rule that qualifies first is applied, not both. Thanks in advance.
  11. My upgrade path was from version 2.1.1 to 2.2.0. The main Prestashop download has been updated to reflect this new version but you can download my backup version 2.1.1 from here if you like. I've made no changes to the original. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ftfcosg7cbq9sxk/blocktopmenu.zip?dl=0
  12. Hi, just ran the update on Top Horizontal Menu (blockTopMenu). Got these errors: Notice: Undefined variable: cat in /modules/blocktopmenu/blocktopmenu.php on line 613 Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /modules/blocktopmenu/blocktopmenu.php on line 613 Reverting to previous version solves the issue.
  13. Hi, I'm looking for a way to use product specific pricing when a cart rule is triggered. At the moment, as far as I can tell, the only price modifications available are discount amount or percent. Many thanks. Edit: I was thinking something like: if cart contains X many products, apply specific rule Z
  14. Hi, my client runs a bottle shop and one of their must have features is the ability for customers to choose X bottles from a limited pool of products eg: choose any 6 bottles from this range for $50I've explored addressing this through product packages however quickly become messy when creating individual packages for a pool of 9 products. Cart Rules also come close in that they provide easy product selection, yet won't work in my case because they only allow for setting a discount rather than a specific price for that selection. Are there settings I'm not aware of that can help me achieve this type of pricing? PS1.6.0.6
  15. Solved this issue by amending /classes/Product.php: $cart_quantity = self::$_cart_quantity[$cache_name]; to: $cart_quantity = $context->cart->nbProducts() >= 6 ? 6 : self::$_cart_quantity[$cache_name];
  16. Hey guys/gals, I'll try and explain what I'm trying to do: if a user's cart contains a set minimum number of products, my client would like to apply product specific discounts to that cart's total. To be clear, the cart may contain any combination of different products but once the quantity clears a certain threshold, each product's discounted price should then apply, rather than the regular retail price. I'm comfortable with displaying the unit price based on a "specific price" rule, however I'm less so in calculating the cart price if it involves hacking PS backend calculations given the unforeseen consequences that may result. Ideally I'd prefer a solution via the interface or a plug-in module (I've looked, unsuccessfully), failing that class overrides if all else fails. Thanks in advance
