  1. I loved Sabrina's Blog Article - "This week, learn how to organize your product categories" as it showed how to put numbers in front of each subcategory to enable you to switch the order from alphabetical order. 3001.Collars 3002.Bowls My problem is that these numbers show at the start of the autocomplete search. I have even tried this on a default install of prestashop 1.25 using default module quick block search. Is there a quick fix?
  2. worth checking your category_product table too
  3. Barman, I had to go into the database and truncate/empty the tables search_index and search_word then go to the rebuild indexes to Preferences > Search and click “Rebuild the entire index”. I still had stuff in these tables relating to ipods and laptops even though I had rebuilt the index several times. Not sure if this is because I have done a fair amount of customisation. You could set up another default install and trial?
  4. Hi Guys, I would like to populate my Search_word and search_index on "Category description" rather than "Category name"? I can see the indexation function in the classes\search.php and have changed SELECT p.id_product, pl.id_lang, pl.name as pname, p.reference, p.ean13, pl.description_short, pl.description, cl.name as cname, m.name as mname To SELECT p.id_product, pl.id_lang, pl.name as pname, p.reference, p.ean13, pl.description_short, pl.description, cl.description as cname, m.name as mname is there anything else I need to do as this appears to work?
  5. Now working with both modules but only after I re-pointed to the jquery.autocomplete.js after s3Slider.js
  6. Thanks Gleb I found my problem by going back to basics too. I uninstalled homefeaturedslide, a module I found on the Forum, from my fornt page and my search now works.
  7. Gleb, as you can see adding the [ brackets stopped my code being removed :-) . I have tried replacing the blocksearch module previously but will try again tonight. I thought my problem was probably to do with me using my own hook?
  8. Hi All, Love the help so far on this forum :-) I get the same error as solved in "http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/43585/#241844" but only in my index page. I have added an extra hook to a top navbar that has a working search with autocomplete on all other pages except the index page! I have added a specific line to point to the jscript in the header.tpl:- [script type="text/javascript" src="{$content_dir}js/jquery/jquery.autocomplete.js"][/script] I have read the other previous posts on the subject: I am not running the v1.1 theme compatibility and my blocksearch.tpl file contains the simplified "extraParams:{ajaxSearch:1,id_lang:1}" line. I am a newbie to this environment - using the standard Quick block search 1.0, firebug, Net Beans, Windows Grep, Win Merge MySQL Front and the smarty debug module but just not getting it - any help or tips on tools welcome? Meanwhile I will go off and install another fresh version of presta and try to debug where my error is coming from.
  9. I get this same error but only on my index page. I have added an extra hook to a top navbar that has a working search with autocomplete on all other pages.
  10. Thanks your subcategory fix is working well, however when I click on a product in a subcategory, the product.php page loads and I loose my "subcategory only" listing from the Category Block?
