  1. I have run into a problem that I cannot identify the source of. My customers come to my site and shop. They leave and come back later to shop. When they return, every time they try to add a product the java cart action occurs but nothing gets added to their cart. It shows empty. If they completely shut down their browser and clear cookies/reset their browser then the cart does work for that session. This is a frustration to my new customers who won't come back if I cannot get this solved. Have I setup something wrong?
  2. Yes, Actually ... It was a complement. You responded quickly with suggestions. Thank you.
  3. Dh42 Thank you for your help. Your advise led to to the solution of the problem. We met the deadline. You are awesome.
  4. I see that there is a pattern growing here. I am not a programmer and therefore have hit a brick wall on this one. I'd be willing to discuss how to fix this with Prestashop help staff, if they exist. I have PM'd Benjamin and another "Presta" bannered profile but they have been unable to come up with a solution to the problem to date. My hat is off to Elpatron who has demonstrated that he is at least willing to help by making some suggested courses of action. Unfortunately we haven't discovered a solution to the problem as of yet. Love the look and feel of the software....even some glitches are acceptable..BUT.. hate the critical failures.... especially the critical issue of the Paypal module failing to work.
  5. Hello Elpatron, Thank you for your consistent effort to help out. It is much appreciated. I modified config/defines.php.inc to define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true); I also disabled terms and conditions. Neither has yielded the coveted jewel of success. I cannot locate where the error is being revealed. My log file is empty. Or am I lost in space and looking in the wrong place?
  6. Just tried. No can do. If you went to the website via the admin panel it will take you to Paypal but the transaction will not complete. Other computers here in Ohio cannot get there to PAYPAL from the store. My resources have to be redirected. This is costing me way too much time and money.
  7. Can't deny that. The problem is a game ender.
  8. Using the latest version. 1.5.3. url- www.special-t-meats.com , when you get there click on "go to meatcase" or "sign in" buttons to be forwarded to the shop. PayPal Installed Version :3.4.4
  9. The paypal module goes to a blank screen when someone tries to buy. They can go through products, select one, put it in the cart, login, go to the payment screen, select "Pay with PayPal" and the screen goes white. No connection. If they hit the back button the site is gone and they must retype the address in the browser to get back to the shop. Any ideas as to why this is happening? The API credentials in the PS Paypal module are set correctly and match the paypal site's credentials. The rest of the site apears to be working ok.....I think.... at least something else has not surfaced yet. Any ideas as to what has happened?
  10. After calming down and looking at what has transpired I have decided to not give up on this. This software is working for others so it must be something I have done wrong. I have disabled the multi-store and am trying to run one shop. NEW PROBLEM- The paypal module goes to a blank screen when someone tries to buy. 11. Hello Elpatron, That link is to the main shop. It is fine. My probllem is in the rendering of the second store under the multishop. The link is unclear at this point because I am not familiar enoughwith what the software is supposed to be doing. The point is that if I launch out of the admin panel under the second store it renders a text site. If I launch out of the first store it renders fine. Scratching my head.
  12. That location is the default store. I cannot locate where prestashop puts the other store when it adds the new store. Isn't is supposed to automatically create the new store location?
  13. I am running 1.5.3.1 No.error messages. error reporting is not switched on. The shop is reached through a splash page at www.special-t-meats.com. On the home page click "go to meatcase".
  14. I am a relatively new user to 1.5. I have activated multistore, imported a parent store with no change in categories ...etc... When trying to view the store it renders as a text store with nothing but text links down the left side of the page. I cannot figure out what I have done wrong. I have followed the User Manual instructions carefully to no avail. HELP please. I only have a few hairs left!
