  1. Yeah that is very strange and certainly not good for customers. You said you checked product category association but can you make screenshot of one product. Also check categories and their parent child settings.
  2. Those are theme files so there is no option of overriding them. You can create new theme as copy and make changes there, but I am guessing you want to keep default theme updated at all times. But think you should not worry that much as theme updates mostly do not change crucial things.
  3. That really bugs you that much :-) But to remove it I guess you need to override FrontController.php and change this function public function initHeader() { /** @see P3P Policies (http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/REC-P3P-20020416/#compact_policies) */ header('P3P: CP="IDC DSP COR CURa ADMa OUR IND PHY ONL COM STA"'); header('Powered-By: PrestaShop'); // Hooks are voluntary out the initialize array (need those variables already assigned) $this->context->smarty->assign(array( 'time' => time(), 'img_update_time' => Configuration::get('PS_IMG_UPDATE_TIME'), 'static_token' => Tools::getToken(false), 'token' => Tools::getToken(), 'priceDisplayPrecision' => _PS_PRICE_DISPLAY_PRECISION_, 'content_only' => (int)Tools::getValue('content_only'), )); $this->context->smarty->assign($this->initLogoAndFavicon()); }
  4. Hi Simone First thank you for your contribution and time you are spending improving it and also giving support in this topic. And it is good module, I run quick test on website with default theme installed with cache and CCC options enabled. And with your module enabled I noticed small but visible speed improvement. But had one issue when installing PHP Fatal error: Can't use method return value in write context in /home/***/public_html/modules/xtremecache/xtremecache.php on line 104 googled a bit and found and had to make quick code change if ($cart && $cart instanceof Cart){ $products = $cart->getProducts(); $active = $active && empty($products); } hope this is OK.
  5. Try to add css file in different way, so remove that line from header.tpl and move custom.css to css/autoload folder in your theme.
  6. Yeah you have more control with module and Nemo's tutorial is great starting point combining with official docs. But other way you tried should work also. You do not need testpage.php in root if you using latest version of Prestashop. Try to clear cahe in Advanced Preferences > Performance in back office and also if you have white page try to enable debug mode. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/224525-how-to-turn-on-error-reporting-for-debug-information-blank-page-500-internal-server-error/
  7. Well if you did not find any links here are some that could help you out : http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Designer+Guide official guide http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/prestashop-theming-explained--net-28414 this is really old but maybe could help a bit But to answer some of your questions, yes think it is good practice to have all in html/css but you will see later if you need this step. Also think you can't begin from scratch, there were some good attempts to create blank/skeleton theme but most people start from default theme. For example http://bossthemes.co.uk/themes/?theme=Blank (demo you can see but website not working for some time , unfortunately). They edited mostly sass files and variables to get cleaner/theme that could be used as starting point. And think you should not have much problem to create theme by editing sass files and small modifications in tpl files. But it depends from your design and ideas, you could come to point that some things you can not do just with html/css and for some features you may need some new module. So check also http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Developer+Guide and with some php and smarty (in tpl files) you could make simple modules that could go well with your theme.
  8. Hi Sealoth, welcome to the forum, i see you had friendly hello. But to your question, do not think there is any free affiliate modules but you can check addons store, there should be few with different options.
  9. Not sure if this still works but try with $link->getImageLink($product->link_rewrite, $imageIds)
  10. If you are getting white page then enable debug mode and see what errors come up. So check https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/224525-how-to-turn-on-error-reporting-for-debug-information-blank-page-500-internal-server-error/ . Also think your controller could be named MyexamplemoduleNewModuleFrontController but not sure if that is causing error.
  11. Nice one DotMedia, I did n't even think to check that, trusted Vilas tried that already. Also here you see 211 of your pages https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=cr&ei=BfF5VZKtF4apsAHL94CoDA#q=site:letsbuyproducts.com&filter=0
  12. Hi Vilas Sorry to hear that. Hope you do not close it yet. Why it is not crawled yet , seams strange. Do you have google webmaster tool activated, and is there some crawl errors ? Do you have sitemap page and more importantly sitemap.xml ? Did you maybe denied access to crawlers in development and left it when it is gone live ? Lot of questions :-) But hope something will help. And while I am on sid eof Prestashop, it depends on your project, what site needs to do. Some platforms are better for some specific features you need, but in most you can get same or similar end result. Just a way or how much you invest can be different. So Prestashop, Opencart, Shopify, Magento your choice. But for all some work is same like social networks, marketing, SEO, blogging. Again some base is same but additional plugins can help.
  13. Check https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/224525-how-to-turn-on-error-reporting-for-debug-information-blank-page-500-internal-server-error/
  14. Hi Check this one https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/306286-module-stripe-payment-module-reloaded/ good developer with lot of experience in payment modules, with great support.
  15. Hi welcome to the forum first, and why do delete ? It is not useless post, someone could search just for that, so thanks for sharing your solution. And for your problem , probably could done in different ways. I was thinking that module blockreinsurense have something similar https://github.com/PrestaShop/blockreinsurance/blob/master/blockreinsurance.tpl
  16. And seams that it only shows on homepage so check index at Back office > Preferences > SEO&URLs.
  17. If you have exact same line that you should not delete that. I thought that line have something extra like {$theme_name} before meta_title. Next thing to check is maybe in back office, SEO&URLs and check if page titles there contain theme name.
  18. Maybe it is used like some variable, check at beginning what is in title tag <title>{$meta_title|escape:'html':'UTF-8'}</title> This is from default theme.
  19. Try with combination of width: 100%; text-align:center; to wrapper element, and for element that you want to center float:none; width:auto; display:inline-block;
  20. Try this, in global.css line 5481 change top padding #columns { position: relative; padding-bottom: 50px; padding-top: 110px; } P.S. And please do not double post and post all your question in Installing Prestashop sub-forum.
  21. From title, bit strange, can you post link to store ? But check first in theme folder header.tpl if maybe theme name is hard-coded in title tag.
  22. Like bellini said in first post it is for ios devices and mobile apps. Check this http://www.authorize.net/support/applepayfaqs/ Do I need an app to use Apple Pay? Yes, you must have an iOS application that has been developed for and on the Apple platform and uses in-app purchases. It must also be an iOS 8 app in order to work on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Is Apple Pay another form of payment that I can use on my website, like PayPal or Visa Checkout? No, Apple Pay cannot currently be used as a payment type on your website.
  23. Styles (css file for bx_slider) for your slider are not loading or are missing.
  24. There is probably wrong image type in code. Check here image that is not loading is /170-large_default_fashion/luxurious-rhinestone-water-drop-earrings.jpg but think you do not have large_default_fashion image type. So try this in edit files product.tpl and product.js in your theme folder, find and replace large_default_fashion with large_default. Clear cache and you should see change.
  25. Yeah it is bit slow. But have to ask, that is custom module you have, productSuggestionEngine did you try to test without it ? Notice few things that you can check and maybe they can help a bit. First when site loads image http://frenchbob.com/modules/frenchbob/css/front/productSuggestionEngine/images/gift-wrapping-paper.jpg is 1.6MB you can surely reduce that size, there are many websites like https://tinyjpg.com/ for example, it reduce it to 151KB. Then even if you said CCC for JS is enabled I see that all js files loaded separately. And I see your website calls Google maps but no map is displayed. That are few I noticed but you try to test more. Try to disable some modules and test after each is there some difference. Like that social module on left. Check size of database and some tables. Also there are few caching modules, they are paid but could speed your shop. But that is last option as I think your store must work much faster by default.
