  1. I'd like to install Amazon Payments to my Prestashop, but can't find any good instructions on how to do so. I do see a module for sale, but is there a way to do it on my own? Is it hard? Has anyone tried it for the U.S...I see the UK version of Amazon payments has a free mod. Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
  2. Very interesting situation here. My Google+ button will not show up on my page at all. It appears in the BO just fine but is not appearing on the website. I even see it in the sprite pic on the server...but it's not showing up on the website. The interesting thing about this is that I previously had a Twitter button there that I replaced with the G+ button. The Twitter button appeared fine, but the G+ will not. Any ideas on why this is happening?
  3. I just successfully added the link. I had the opposite problem actually. Google wouldn't recognize my Analytics and Webmaster Tools acct, so I had to do it the hard way. Follow DFWcomposites original instructions and you shouldn't have any problems. The purpose of linking your Google+ page to your website is supposedly to create better SEO as well during user searches. We'll see how that works out.
  4. Hey Guys, In my BO, under customers > shopping carts I have hundreds of empty shopping carts. Does anyone know how or why this has happened? It seems like every time someone either logs in or visits my site a shopping cart is created automatically. Even if the visitor does not add anything to their cart. Has anyone heard of this issue, and if so any ideas on how to solve it? I'm running PS 1.5.4 ...All native modules except I have a custom template. Shopping Carts.pdf
  5. Hey vekia and mfedorets, thanks for replying :-) By crashed I mean that right after I put the code in my header.tpl....I did a force compile and then cleared the browser cache. Afterwards my site gave the "Server Error" page. I removed the code and the site came back up again. Below is what it looks like when I paste it and where I paste it in folder themes/"mytheme"/header.tpl {$HOOK_HEADER} <meta property=”og:title” content=”{$meta_title|escape:’htmlall’:'UTF-8′}”/> <meta property=”og:url” content=”http://{$smarty.server.HTTP_HOST}{$smarty.server.REQUEST_URI}”/> <meta property=”og:site_name” content=”{$shop_name|escape:’htmlall’:'UTF-8′}”/> <meta property=”og:type” content=”website”> <meta property=”og:description” content=”{$meta_description|escape:html:’UTF-8′}”> <meta property=”og:image” content=”{$img_ps_dir}logo.jpg”> </head>
  6. Hey Guys, Any ideas on how to add og tags in PS? Specifically, where and how to place them? I'm trying to install Addthis' newest feature Smart Layers to my site. I have added the simple code using PS Free Block Module as always. Every piece of Addthis feature appears correctly except the 'Recommended Content Layer" feature which is supposed to appear at the bottom of the page. It does appear, but the images attached to that layer do not. Through research I've found that it's because I need to have og tags in my header for the images to appear. But when I added the following code to the header.tpl of my theme my site crashed. <meta property=”og:title” content=”{$meta_title|escape:’htmlall’:'UTF-8′}”/> <meta property=”og:url” content=”http://{$smarty.server.HTTP_HOST}{$smarty.server.REQUEST_URI}”/> <meta property=”og:site_name” content=”{$shop_name|escape:’htmlall’:'UTF-8′}”/> <meta property=”og:type” content=”website”> <meta property=”og:description” content=”{$meta_description|escape:html:’UTF-8′}”> <meta property=”og:image” content=”{$img_ps_dir}logo.jpg”> Any ideas where I need to put this? Or what I'm doing wrong?
  7. I know that, but where in the cms.tpl file? When I try to test using your code, the actual code appears on my website. Not the css it's meant to demonstrate. I've placed it at the beginning and at the end with no luck.
  8. LOL! Ok I'll stick with the css lol! Where did you put the css code for the CMS page though? I mean what file...
  9. I must admit your page looks amazing! LOL! I may not even attempt what you did with the pic...but I am curious about how you got the links to show up on that page. I looks like subcategories that are formatted including bullet points...am I correct?
  10. Great information guys! I'd like to try it also :-) But where in the code can I tell it to edit one specific CMS page and not another?
  11. Thanks Vekia as always! I have it figured out I believe! Finally! The main problem I discovered is that using the FB comments code on the cms.tpl file will put the FB comments box on EVERY CMS page. So it'll appear on any page you create using the CMS module in the BO. But that's not what I wanted in this situation. I only wanted the FB Comments box to appear on specific pages. To achieve this I used an updated code and put it at the end of the page inside html code of the CMS page I created. You have to remove the literal tags once you do so because as Vekia stated they show up on the page. Doing it this way is more time consuming because it means that I'll need to adapt the code every time I create a new CMS page that I want the FB comments box on. But, applying the code in the cms.tpl (as I originally wanted) will not only put the box on every page, but every comment will appear as the same on every CMS page. So for example, if you put "testing" in the FB comments box on the Terms & Conditions page...the FB comment box on the "About us" page will also display "testing". The only work around that I've found so far is putting the html code on each individual page. If someone has a better way I'm all ears! Thanks again Vekia!
  12. Ok something is not right. The code is actually appearing on the webpage now. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Currently I'm working in my cms.tpl file. I've inserted the code at the end of the file because that's where I want the comments to appear. But I only want them to appear on certain CMS pages so I'm trying to write the if/condition rule. When I do, the rule actually appears on the webpage and furthermore the FB Comments still appear on every CMS page. This is the code I'm using right now at the end of the cms.tpl file {literal} <div id="fb-root"></div> <script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1&appId=93355466934"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script> {if $smarty.get.id_cms==3 OR $smarty.get.id_cms==14 OR $smarty.get.id_cms==9} <div class="fb-comments" data-href="http://www.knittwitt.com/blog" data-width="470"></div> {/if} {/literal}
  13. Awesome! Where do I put the conditions? Anywhere or is there a certain place in the cms.tpl file? also...do those conditions work with pretty urls turned on?
  14. Thanks Vekia! Yes I added that code to the end of the cms.tpl using the {literal} tags and it appeared. But it's now appearing on every CMS page. Is there a way to make it only appear on certain pages? http://www.knittwitt.com/content/10-pinterest
  15. Am I missing an additional line of code? It is not appearing on any of my CMS pages...
  16. Thanks Vekia! Can I adapt it to appear on a specific page or will it appear on every CMS page?
  17. Hey guys, I have PS 1.5.4 and I'd like to add the Facebook Comments feature to one of my CMS pages. Any ideas on how to do it? https://developers.f...ugins/comments/
  18. I thought it would be as simple as adding the code to the right page. I removed one of the comments modules from the product pages tpl files to stop it from appearing on my Product page. I was hoping it would be something similar, but in reverse.
  19. Hey Guys, I would like to hook/add the comments module that appears on the product pages in PS 1.5 to one of my CMS pages. Is this possible? Any ideas on how to do it? (codes to copy/paste/edit and where to put them)
  20. Once again vekia thank you so much for your help! Everything works perfectly!
  21. Thanks Paul, your solution worked for me :-)
  22. Thanks for the reply, Bare with me on this subject because this one has me totally lost. I've spoken with my host and they have verified that mod_rewrite is already installed on my VPS. I just need to set the rules in .htaccess and it will work. That is the part I'm stuck on. What are the rules? Is there something I can copy/paste from somewhere or are they custom to each server/installation?
  23. I have just installed PS 1.5.4 on a VPS server. I would like to have friendly urls. What is the next step? I have looked at the apache link posted earlier and have no idea what I'm looking at lol! Is there a step by step on activating mod_rewrite somewhere?
  24. Hello All! I'm looking at the Shopping Cart page in my BO and there are hundreds of carts showing that are empty. I have recently upgraded to PS 1.5.4 and I see there were some posts here in the forum about this issue with PS 1.5.1 but I'd expect the bug fix to be applied by now. Any ideas why this is happening?
