  1. Prestashop Ver 1.7.3.1 Every day I see new, bogus sign-ups all with a similar pattern, legit looking email addresses but bogus names that end in GP. Anyone know what's going on here or how to stop it? Thank you in advance.
  2. There's a little quirk in Prestashop. We're using a FedEx module for shipping, but it requires an address to provide a quote. So when a non-authenticated user is browsing the site and adds an item, shipping shows up as "Free" in the cart summary. This is confusing customers. I am currently scouring the code to see if I can find the source to change it TBD, but if anyone knows where I can set this, please let me know. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  3. Thanks for your reply. The payment module doesn't exactly look like that. I'm thinking _PS_OS_PAYMENT_ is the id_order_status? // create order in PS Db with the paid amount returned by gateway $this->module->validateOrder( (int)$cart->id, _PS_OS_PAYMENT_, (float)$paid_amount, $this->module->displayName, null, array(), null, false, $customer->secure_key );
  4. When an order is placed on our site, the status is set to "On backorder (paid)." We would like it all orders to be set to "Processing in progress" by default, but I cannot find this setting anywhere in the admin. Any ideas or advice as how to set this? Thank you, James
  5. So the tax is only for country-wide taxes? The US doesn't have those. Maybe that's why it's not working. The cart properly applies local sales tax.
  6. On the Edit Product page there are two fields for the price of an item. One is Tax Excluded, on is Tax Included. These fields are linked though, whereby changing one changes the other. What's the difference and how would we use these? Best regards, James
  7. Hi there, I only have one tax rule, but all 380 of my products that were imported are not set to it. I'd like to batch set them. I had read to update id_tax_rules_group in the products table, but doing so did not update my products. Right now if I open and save them, they are updated, but that's going to take a while. Any ideas? Best regards, James
  8. "you should only update your module in back office from your version to 3.10.9 " Which PayPal module has that version? I see two modules in the marketplace and both are on 1.x versions. The one I'm using: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/8277-paypalusa.html A paid module: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/5314-paypal-direct-payments.html It's the URL changes that concern me. Best regards, James
  9. My version is currently: PayPal USA, Canada v1.3.9 - by PrestaShop Is that going to work with the PayPal changes as is? Thanks for your help.
  10. So I see a lot of "it's not the module" and "you don't need to do anything [ about the security upgrades, it's their SSL ]." However, the PayPal tech document specifies new URLs and deprecates others. When I checked the code of the most recent Prestashop PayPal module, it looked like URL changes were needed. Additionally, Prestashop has announced that they will be updating the module security in the 2nd quarter of 2016. Do we need to change those URLs? Where's the module update? Thank you. J
  11. Prestashop 1.6.1.3 PayPal USA, Canada v1.3.9 - by PrestaShop I've encountered this problem with Prestashop 1.5.x and 1.6.x with the PayPal module. When the customer adds gift wrapping, the order does not complete after successful payment. There are some old posts about the totals being different and that causing the issue. That is true. The totals are different between PayPal and the Prestashop cart. It looks like the gift wrapping doesn't get passed to PayPal. How can I get this fixed? I've attached a couple of screen captures. Thanks for your help. After a few years, it would be great to finally solve this. Best regards, James
  12. Prestashop 1.6.1.2 PayPal USA, Canada Module 1.3.9 I'm experience a shipping tax problem on two different prestashop sites using the PayPal module (referenced above). The total is wrong because PayPal is adding shipping to the tax, when Prestashop is adding the shipping tax to the tax total. As such, PayPal double taxes the shipping. I've attached two screen grabs to show the issue. Shipping is taxable at 7% for FL residents. For now, I've had to turn off taxing shipping, but that's a problem. Any ideas? Thanks for your advice. James
  13. I eventually "guessed" the problem was database related (order could not be created). I re-imported the order tables from the development site and it's working now. Thank you.
