  1. I have posted a solution for this issue which worked for me in this thread... http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/31341/help_configuration___use/solved_cant_upload_product_images/
  2. Ok, after weeks of scouring this forum as well as numerous others across the big WWW I come across a post for a photo gallery script where someone running a server in the same environment (Win2003 Server, IIS 6, PHP ISAPI) was having issues uploading images. Basically, through the numerous steps suggested, I narrowed the solution down to a simple permission setting which finally allowed me to successfully upload product images in PrestaShop. I have successfully tested this on both Version 1.2.4.0 and Version 1.2.5.0 Hopefully this helps anyone else who finds themselves pulling their hair out like I've been doing for over 2 weeks now!!! To place credit where credit is due, here is the link to the forum where I finally found the solution... http://gallery.menalto.com/node/38659 Poster: PXU I'm finally a happy PrestaShop user!!! Cheers!!!
  3. You'll have to forgive my NOOBness but exactly how did you change the permissions of your /tmp folder to 777 ? It's my understanding that this is a method used on an apache server unless i'm missing some setting on my windows box. I've added IUSR to those folders under "Security Settings" giving it "Full Control" permissions and still no luck uploading product images despite PrestaShop displaying a "Update Successful" message. Hopefully this proves to be a case of me looking at my display for way too many hours straight and just a simple oversight on my part ;-)
  4. What's weird is that you can upload images for your logo, manufacturers, categories, etc. I'm far from being able to code but why would the authors of this script not just use the same method to upload product images as they do the others? If it's a case of going with a majority who don't use IIS and giving them the ability to upload multiple images vs. only one at a time, simply employ two options which may be set through admin panel configuration settings. I am currently running a number of other PHP scripts on my server (Win2003 w/ IIS6) and they have the ability to upload images without problems. I've even got a photo album script which uploads multiple images at once successfully. The frustration for me is that the only two scripts that even appeal to me (PrestaShop & Magento) both currently have the same issue running under Windows/IIS. This sucks!!!!!
  5. I absolutely love PrestaShop but unfortunately I'm afraid I'll have to abandon it and continue my search. As mentioned above, I can upload images for everything except products. I'm not a coder but it is just baffling why the image upload process would work for one part of PrestaShop and not the product creation process. It's been about a week now of playing around with the server and no success. grrrrr..... Good luck Tropical!
  6. I really don't want to abandon PrestaShop but i've spent countless hours trying to figure out why you can upload category, manufacturer and logo images but can't upload product images. Can someone please tell me whether i'm just wasting my time or if there is a resolution to this problem? I've even tried re-downloading the files and a fresh installation... same results. Thanks...
  7. I’m new to PrestaShop, having completed my first install yesterday. WOW awesome job guys!!! Everything has gone extremely well and issue free until now… After configuring the shop and creating all my categories/subcategories, I’ve run into what hopefully will be a simple issue to resolve. I can create products using the BO but when I try to upload an image for the product, I just get the default “No image available” image in the Front End. It states that the product image upload was successful at the top and even when you attempt a second upload it says the update was successful but still no image. The weird thing is that i’ve had no problems to this point uploading images for my categories and have even tried to use an image I’ve successfully uploaded for a category. My Environment: Win 2003 Server – PHP 5.2.8 – MySQL 5 Sorry for the duplicate post. I originally posted this in the Installation section but with no luck... I’ve made both the img>p and the img>tmp folders have the proper permissions and that PHP is configured as recommended. My Observations so far… 1. Nothing gets uploaded to the img>tmp folder 2. Nothing gets copied over to the img>tmp folder 3. All of the images i’ve uploaded for categories exist both in the img>tmp and img>c folders so I assume permissions are ok… 4. If I enable customization so that an image can be uploaded on the front end, it also appears to successfully upload an image but the script leaves off the file extension so the only thing displayed on the product page is a broken link image. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!! p.s. – I have full access to the server and although I can’t write PHP scripts, I am comfortable editing them once I’m told where to look and what to change
