  1. Hello Vekia, When I edit the files I'll use a variable for the alt img tabs and not a static variable right? Just verifying with you (I'm a wannabe programmer). Thanks, Phil

  3. Hello Vekia, The website is http://kidstoysmalaysia.com.my when I use SEOQuake to analyze my home page. SEOQuake shows 156 missing alt's out of 164 images. Here's the URL of another tool I use to check the alt's http://www.feedthebot.com/tools/alt/ Thanks, Phil

  6. I am running Prestashop version and would like to intergrate my Prestashop with a Pay Per Click company. They use a single pixel to verify that the transaction has taken place. The problem is when they put the code in for the pixel, it does not show up. We tried to add following code to order-confirmation.tpl with out success. Can anyone shed some light on the subject? {if $_COOKIES["actionpay"]} <img src="http://n.actionpay.ru/ok/0000.png?actionpay={$_COOKIES["actionpay"]}&apid={$id_order_formatted}" width="1px" height="1px" /> {/if} Thanks in Advance, Philip Polaski Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  7. Hello Prestashop! I've a question about SEO and products that have very similar content (i.e. baby clothes) . I set up a shop for my [spam-filter] and she has many clothes that are very similar. I would like to show each piece but find it's going to be a difficult task to try to create different Titles, descriptions etc... Has anyone have a similar problem and how did you resolve the issue. Thank you, Phil Kids Toys (Baby Clothes)
  8. Try this module http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/prestashop-modules/25-duplicate-url-redirect.html I'm using 1.5.2 and it works very well. Phil Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  9. Hello Everyone, I'm using Prestashop 1.5.2 and ran into a problem when trying to update my products. I keep getting the error message below. The information page does not even show an icon to save the page when I've entered in product details. I have had to manually enter in data via the database and believe that this may be my problem? As I've found a few product descriptions that should have been in HTML but where entered in as plain text. Anyone else getting these messages? I will manuall remove all my "bad" product descriptions and see if it helps? 2 errors product must be in at least one Category product must be in the default category Thanks, Phil http://kidstoysmalaysia.com.my
  10. The problem I feel is the fact that customers may leave the site without un-checking the boxes. When they return, the boxes remain checked and may lead to confusion or throw and error. It would be nice if the "cache" or what ever to call the "memory" would clear and start at 0 for each visit. Example: I visit my site and compare products A & B. I leave the site without unchecking the two products. Now I return and want to compare products C & D & E I will either be viewing all products (A,B, C, D, E) in a comparison or receive an error message regarding the limit of products is exceeded. Thank you
  11. Many thanks Vekia! With your help I was able to solve the font-size while having my coffee. i do have another question if you do not mind? I'm trying to justify (believe that the right word) the test in the Editor module. I've attached another print screen to illustrate my problem as the right side text is allowed to go to close to the border. Thanks Again, Phil
  12. Help! I've been trying to change the font size under category (see upper left corner where you see gift shop, baby care etc...) I've been using firebug to try to figureout where to edit but have had no luck. I've attached a screen image of the firebug results. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, Phil Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  13. I also have the same problem. Did anyone find a solution? Phil Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  14. It's very easy to have duplicate products. I set up a website for my [spam-filter] who owns a baby clothes and toy shop. I face a problem with listing the same toys in more than one category. Example. Red truck would be listed for toys for a 3 year old, also in role play toys and then under manufactures toys. I hope to work around this problem by either changing the title & content for each listing. As it would make more sense to "target" content for each listing as follows... Category - 3 Year old Toys for 3 year old Red truck make a great gift for 3 year old and .... Category - Role Play Toys Red trucks make a great gift for children to role play. I stirs their imagination and put them in the drivers seat.... Category - Manufacturer ACME company makes Red trucks are designed with your child's safety in mind. I was also thinking of disallowing certain pages in the robots file if the content is similar. I would be interested in other peoples comments and suggestions? Thanks, Phil Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  15. That was the problem with my install. Works fine after copying all the files ;-) Thanks, Philip Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  16. I read the post and am wondering if anyone has tried this? I'm using Prestashop v1.4.8 and would like to also reduce my duplicate content. I shall give the above code a try and post my results. Phil Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  17. Hello, I've been receiving some errors in the Google Analytic for Duplicate Meta Descriptions. Example: Shop online for 2 - 3 year old children boys & girls toys in Malaysia. Safe secure transactions, del[/color] /69-2-3-year-old-girls-boys-toys-malaysia /69-2-3-year-old-girls-boys-toys-malaysia?p=2 Any suggestions on how to solve this? Thank You, Philip
  18. Having a problem with "Module version up-to-date (0.7)" can someone tell me how to fix? I'm using v1.4.8.2 right now. Thank You, Phil Kids Toys (Malaysia)
  19. Hello, Your talking about the Meta Title that shows up in search engines. If so, it's the shop name that you created when you first installed Prestashop. I have not figured out a way to alter the code yet. But hopefully will. For now you may want to leave your shop name blank. I've been so busy with other issues I've saved this one for next to last. Hope it helps... Phil http://www.kidstoysm...y-toys-malaysia
  20. Looks pretty nice. Try using a web tool called SEOquake. Install it into your browser and the use the Diagnosis tool. It;ll help with your SEO. Best Regards, Phil
  21. Hello Bazze, How would I remove the images all together for sub-categories? As I did clear my cache and forced a recompile. When I test my site it still shows "missing ALT attributes". I figured I'd be better off with no images for the sub-category. Hope your still out there! Any feedback is welcome, Thanks, Phil
  22. Bazze, Here's my the content of my category.tpl file. I put in Bold type the code that I inserted. Should I recompile the code? As I still get the same message from SEOquake about missing ALT attributes. Thanks Again! Phil {include file="$tpl_dir./breadcrumb.tpl"} {include file="$tpl_dir./errors.tpl"} {if isset($category)} {if $category->id AND $category->active} <h1> {strip} {$category->name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'} {if isset($categoryNameComplement)} {$categoryNameComplement|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'} {/if} <span class="category-product-count"> {include file="$tpl_dir./category-count.tpl"} </span> {/strip} </h1> {if $scenes} <!-- Scenes --> {include file="$tpl_dir./scenes.tpl" scenes=$scenes} {* {else} <!-- Category image --> {if $category->id_image} <div class="align_center"> <img src="{$link->getCatImageLink($category->link_rewrite, $category->id_image, 'category')}" alt="{$category->name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" title="{$category->name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" id="categoryImage" width="{$categorySize.width}" height="{$categorySize.height}" /> </div> {/if} *} {/if} {if $category->description} <p class="cat_desc">{$category->description}</p> {/if} {if isset($subcategories)} <!-- Subcategories --> <div id="subcategories"> <h2>{l s='Subcategories'}</h2> <ul> {foreach from=$subcategories item=subcategory} <li> <a class="bgcolor bordercolor" href="{$link->getCategoryLink($subcategory.id_category, $subcategory.link_rewrite)|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" title="{$subcategory.name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}"> {if $subcategory.id_image} <img src="{$link->getCatImageLink($subcategory.link_rewrite, $subcategory.id_image, 'medium')}" alt=" " /> <!-- old code <img src="{$link->getCatImageLink($subcategory.link_rewrite, $subcategory.id_image, 'medium')}" alt="{$category->name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" /> --> {else} <img src="{$img_cat_dir}default-medium.jpg" alt="{$category->name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" /> {/if} <span>{$subcategory.name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'|truncate:20:'...'}</span> </a> </li> {/foreach} </ul> </div> {/if} {if $products} {include file="$tpl_dir./product-sort.tpl"} {include file="$tpl_dir./product-list.tpl" products=$products} {* {include file="$tpl_dir./product-compare.tpl"}*} {include file="$tpl_dir./pagination.tpl"} {elseif !isset($subcategories)} <p class="warning">{l s='Comeback soon where almost there!'}</p> {/if} {elseif $category->id} <p class="warning">{l s='This category is currently unavailable.'}</p> {/if} {/if} http://www.kidstoysmalaysia.com.my/
  23. Hello Bazze, I would like to give each individual sub-category image and ALT attribute name. I did test the code and put a "stub" value as indicated below: <img src="{$img_cat_dir}default-medium.jpg" alt="test value " /> But this did not help. When I analyzed the website the sub-categories still showed as empty. Thanks, Phil http://www.kidstoysmalaysia.com.my
