  2. Hello, THIS PROBLEM IS SOLVED. SEE BELOW When trying to update the shop using 1 Click Update module I encountered numerous times this kind of error: " errorThrown:"Internal Server Error " jqXHR: " " After many trials and errors I discovered that the this error was triggered by 1 Click Update module for PS 1.6 (the last version available for this module as of today is 1.6.7), which is not being capable of working properly (i.e it hangs on database update, yet manages to update all files) on PHP 7.1. I tested numerous times. The 1 click update module version 1.6.7 works flawlessly on PHP 5.5, PHP 5.6 and, to my surprise, even on PHP 7.0. And as I said before, it hangs when working on PHP 7.1 And a lot of people are using PHP 7.1 today, even they do not know it (webhosts have upgraded overnight without notice, from PHP 7.0) Workaround /Solution If you are on Cpanel, and you have a good host, that permits "Select PHP version" button to appear in Cpanel, go to "Select PHP version" button (see attached screnshots), then enable PHP 5.6 with default options (works definitely) and only after that run 1 Click Update module. (If you do not see the Select PHP Version button, just email your webhost. It's as simple as 2 clicks for them to allow it on your Cpanel.) In order for this trick to work, please pay attention that you have the same modules enabled in PHP 5.6 that you have enabled in PHP 7.1, otherwise you will only see a blank page. Just write down the modules you have enabled in PHP 7.1 and enable the same modules in PHP 5.6. Of course it is wise to make a backup before....using PhpMyAdmin and Filezilla. You have really good chances to have a smooth and fine update, with everything in order after the upgrade. After the update, revert to using PHP 7.1 (no need to put shop in maintenance mode) in order to benefit from the speed and caching options PHP 7.1 offers. This solution will work 100% even when someone already tried to update and received the " errorThrown:"Internal Server Error " jqXHR: " " error. if you change the PHP version to 5.6 and then try to update again (after the error appeared) you will succeed with the update and your problems will be solved. Hope that helps some people in need.
  3. I'm glad it worked. Btw, if you don't have SSL certification (bought and) installed do not touch it anymore. Until you buy SSL. Mod_rewrite is installed at server level, so you need to talk to your server admin (or hosting company). Hope that helps
  4. Hi, Probably PayPal has made some changes in his system lately, and that messes up your paypal module. I have downloaded a free theme from some web site ( http://www.freeprestathemes.com/blue-theme/ ) and I did a fresh instal of PS1.5.5., with this theme installed, and with euro as default shop currency. Paypal works that way, so is possible to be a hidden problem with your template, corroborated with some Paypal changes. You can try for yourself, do a fresh install of PS155 (maybe you should download it again from prestashop.com) , instal that theme, configure your Paypal module, modify a product to have a really low price (something like 0.01 euro) and try to make a purchase of that product. You might be surprised. Keep me informed.
  5. Try to make a very cheap product in your store (something like 0.01 euro/ dollars) and set Paypal to live mode. There are sometimes differences in PayPal , between live mode and sanbox mode (why is that, I can't understand). So try and make a real purchase with that extra cheap product, and see if there's a difference. Hope that helps
  6. Indeed, PS 1.5.5 works perfectly with Paypal with default template . Another issue with PayPalI that I have observed is when you change the default currency of the shop to another currency that PayPal doesn't support by default (see below) then the PayPal responds with the error 10605 (= "currency not supported"). And all ends here. Transaction fails. Currency that Paypal supports: Canadian Dollar Euro British Pound U.S. Dollar Japanese Yen Australian Dollar New Zealand Dollar Swiss Franc Hong Kong Dollar Singapore Dollar Swedish Krona Danish Krone Polish Zloty Norwegian Krone Hungarian Forint Czech Koruna Israeli New Shekel Mexican Peso Brazilian Real (only for Brazilian members) Malaysian Ringgit (only for Malaysian members) Philippine Peso New Taiwan Dollar Thai Baht Turkish Lira (only for Turkish members) Russian Ruble See at https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/sell/mc/mc_intro-outside Hope that helps.
  7. In order to see the modifications you made to /js/tinymce.inc.js you always need to clear the cache of your browser. Otherwise you will see the old file, unmodified.
  8. Ok. Thank you for the redirect. I see now the same happened with Prestastore.fr and prestastore.us.
  9. Browsing the web I encountered this site: www.prestastore.ru. In my browser it has a redirect to www.prestastore.ru/en The question is: is this a legitimate site, or is this a scam? The site looks all the same as the original, but if prestashop.ru redirects to prestashop.com , why prestastore.ru doesn't redirect to prestastore.com? I mean the basic question is: Can somebody buy safely from www.prestastore.ru or not?
  10. Hello there ! I have a little problem. I have a site built on Prestashop 1.1 and I wanted to update it. I tried to update the site the normal way, but I didn't succeded. So I decided to update it manually (eg to install prestashop 1.2.5 form scratch, with a new clean database). Luckily, I only have a few items in my store , so is not a problem to insert them manually. But I encountered a problem - and that is SEO-friendly URL's. I didn't succeed in entering the product in the same order I did when I first built the site, so now I have a problem: Instead of www.mysite.com/13-product1.html I have now www.mysite.com/15-product1.html. So I am gonna loose the SERP in search engines (I am number 2 in Google for 2 of my products) I tried to change the ID number of the product in my DB, but I only succeeed the product to dissappear from the site. When I changed the ID number back, the product reappeared. Any suggestions, please? It would be highly appreciated... Thanks in advance, Cristian

  15. Hello Prestashop users! I need the name of the customers to be fully shown in Orders tab (not like J. Doe, but like John Doe). I know that they are shown in full in Customers tab, but I need to see them in Orders tab as well. The problem is the first name of the client is shortened. And I need to see it complete in Orders tab. Is there a solution for this problem? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
