  3. Hi JP, We will not be posting a roadmap with specific dates; however, you can keep track of which features will be included in the next release by checking out the Feature List on the Bug Tracker. If you want to see a list of which new features will be included in the next release, simply click *Show Filtering Options* above the Feature List and select “Included in the next release” from the drop-down list, then click *Filter*.
  4. Hi macandcheese, Updating to v1.1 from v1.0 should be very easy. No major changes were made to the installation, database structure, etc. Just follow the instructions on "updating PrestaShop":/wiki/Getting_Started/#Update_PrestaShop and you should be all set.
  5. Buongiorno ! The PrestaShop Italian community is growing! I'd like to create a larger, more sophisticated Italian Forum, like we've done for the French, German, and several other communities. To do this, I need at least one native Italian speaker to be a moderator who also speaks some English. If you would like to be the moderator for a new Italian Forum, please send me a PM. Grazie mille
  6. Hi Kye, The virtual-goods option can be a little hard to locate at first : In the Back Office >> Catalog, go to the item's product page. On the Information tab, you will see a checkbox: "Is this a service or virtual product?" When you check the box, functionality related to virtual goods will appear. After the customer purchases the product s/he will receive an e-mail with a link to a page from which the product can be downloaded. The customer can also access this link (after a confirmed payment) on his/her My Account page.
  7. Hi Digital Cipher, At this time we do not have an optional field for customer value input and then using that value to calculate price, shipping, etc. In the next version of PrestaShop, v1.1, due out very soon, customers will be able to type in text and/or upload an image in order to 'personalize' a product. Your idea of making the text field an optional numerical value field is a good one. Please consider creating a "Feature Request":/bug_tracker/report/feature/ for it. In the meantime, you have little choice but to create a choice of values in an attribute drop-down list. For this, you may find the "Product Combinations Generator":/wiki/Attributes_and_attribute_groups/#Using_the_Product_combinations_generator tool to be useful.
  8. Hi Zoltan, When sending a Private Message, in the "Options" section below the message, please remember to mark the "Store a copy in the Sent messages folder?" checkbox. If you do not check this box, the sent message is not saved in your Sent messages folder. I hope I've answered your question.
  10. Hi everyone, As a matter of policy, we do not give fixed dates for releases. We used to do that, but were burned too many times by delays beyond our control. This is why we only give vague replies to release-date requests. Having said that, a release candidate of v1.1 _should_ be released by the end of this week. As for an SVN access, we agree wholeheartedly that it would be useful for both the PrestaShop dev team and the community at large. We have had extensive discussions concerning putting SVN in place, including recently. However, we want to make sure we do it right. One member of our dev team has been given the responsibility to research the best possible solution; I expect we will have an SVN in place sometime in the next month or so. But again, that's just a guess, not a promise. As for communications between the PS community and the dev team, as the official Forum liaison I personally accept responsibility for the recent decrease in interaction. As we've grown as a company, my other duties have been taking more of my time and I have not been able to spend as much time as I would like on the Forum. In addition, "amwdesign":/forums/member/824/amwdesign/, another official English-language moderator, has also been too busy with his own projects to participate on the Forum. However, we will be making Forum participation a higher priority again going forward. While it is impossible to answer every question and solve every problem, we do value the input from our users and we certainly need to make our presence felt more regularly. In the meantime, the best way to follow the evolution of bug fixes and feature development is via the "Bug Tracker":/bug_tracker/. The dev team monitors and updates the Bug Tracker more often than the Forum, so for the very latest information, please check the Bug Tracker regularly. Thanks for all your comments.

  25. Hi Nakano, When creating or editing the Category name, if you've activated other languages for your Front Office, their language flags should appear next to the input field. Click each flag and type in the appropriate translation of the Category name. The same process is used to enter translated text elsewhere in the Back Office, especially for product information.
