  1. I see there are several addons that generate feeds for Froogle/GoogleBase/Google Products/ whatever they're calling it nowadays: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/seo/1768-google-merchant-center.html http://addons.prestashop.com/en/comparison-shopping-prestashop/1585-google-shopping.html http://addons.prestashop.com/en/comparison-shopping-prestashop/1615-google-shopping.html I've read of others too. I also see that they vary widely in price. Unfortunately, documentation is pretty brief in prestashops addon marketplace, so I can't really tell the difference between them. Anyone else want to weigh in on what works, what's worth paying extra for, what's outdated/no-longer-supported, etc??
  2. I know a lot of people want to set up websites to sell amazon affiliate stuff -- I guess there are a lot more entrepreneurs than producers. Anyway, I have real products that I want to get listed on Amazon's marketplace. I'm wondering if there's a way to easily export my catalog for amazon's Inventory loader. From their site Doesn't seem that hard, but I don't see any "export" features in Prestashop at all. Is there an easy way to export a CSV? Even so, I don't want to manually export a csv, then sort the tables, then change names, then add amazon info, change csv to tab-delineated, upload -- etc etc. It's too much work to do every day. I want something that will export data in amazon format to start with. (our catalog is huge & full of unique products -- if we only sold 50 items, and they never changed, it would be no problem.....)
  3. I am trying to set up a web store for a business that sells used music equipment. Most of what they sell is large and fragile (it's really more like an antique store than guitar center or something). For this reason, it's very hard to estimate shipping cost before the item is packed. And since this is a brick-and-mortar store, these items are on the floor -- they can't be packed up before they're sold. So my problem is that I need to be able to calculate shipping after the item sells, and then add it into the total and re-invoice. Prestashop is unique among the CMS solutions that I've seen, in that you can create new types of order "status" -- So I could create two new ones: 1) congratulations -- You checked out! but we still need to send you a shipping quote... 2) here's your shipping quote -- but you still need to agree to payment This is a step in the right direction. But I'm still wondering how hard it would be change the usual order flow, so that these will be used, and so that the second one could include an invoice & link back to payment portal. Has anyone done anything like this?
