  1. Upgrade 1.6 to 1.7

Did the paid module work? How did you end up upgrading to 1.7?
  2. That sound like a good idea - I'll give it a go. Thanks fro the reply.
  3. Hi, Im planning on creating a new site and joining it to my exiting site with multistore. I just wanted to clarify the process - if someone can help please? My existing site is full operational running on version 1.6. My New site will be in version 1.7. Is there best practice process for doing this? I'm thinking there might be issues with templates being designed for different engines? My plan was to: 1. create the new 1.7 site on wamp 2. migrate my existing 1.6 site to wamp 3. Join 1.6 store to 1.7 store with multistore 4. configure both sites 5. migrate both sites to my hosting provider Thanks in advance

  5. Happy new year, I saw a post on problem from some years back https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/220197-adding-product-to-cart-ps-adds-also-some-other-products/?tab=comments&_fromLogin=1 . It seems like the same issue that i now have - i've deleted some customer orders (did'nt know this was as issue until now) and now i have random products in my cart (only when i clear my browser cashe and then add a product). I've got my busiest time of the year coming up and i'm stuck on this for 3 weeks now. Still massive noob on Prestashop. I followed the solution: 1) open phpMyAdmin 2) open ps_cart_products table 3) check what is the highest number of ID there 4) open ps_cart table 5) go to ps_cart table settings page 6) change AUTO_INCREMENT value to value which is equal to highest number of ID stored in ps_cart_products table, the best: ID+1 But no matter how many times i try to increase the auto-increment value in myphpadmin it always sets the value higher than i entered (see image). The issue still persists. I was going to try deleting all rows on ps_cart_products that have no corresponding ps_cart row, but i have no idea of the process on how to cross reference the two? Any idea? Massive thanks in advance but no problems at all if you cant help Ben
  6. How to remove invoice address

To override the CSS file of the module, i added the code to the end of blockpermanentlinks.css of my theme css directory.
  7. How to remove invoice address

where does this go - what does it do?
  8. Really appreciate your help - thank you. I’ve just opened my page an inspected my code. Im using Developer tools on Firefox Quantum Dev edition. I can see how my page is displayed in the code (and how it links to my webpage) but I can’t see how this relates to the addresses.tpl file (opened in Notepad++ (set to php language)) and how i work backwards to comment stuff out. It is my understanding (prob completely wrong) that the php/tpl/etc files create the html page(s) of my website (displayed here in my dev tool window). Again - massive thanks
  9. NemoPS - thanks again for you help. You might have guessed i've never done coding before .
  10. ah ok. would i have to write html to remove it. or just find parts of the addresses.tpl and comment out? It was my understanding that the .tpl files can contain all sorts of 'coding language' php, smarty etc? Maybe the addresses.tpl is all html? Thanks for the the reply
  11. My first question post - hi all! - Hope you can help I'm trying to remove all references to customer invoice address in Prestashop 1.6. I'm just not interested in this info and my customers are getting really confused as my template automatically defaults the invoice address to the delivery address - which in almost all cases is never needed as my orders are coming from outside the country for delivery inside the Philippines. I followed this guide: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/128541-how-to-remove-invoice-address/ which works really well apart from the invoice address is still showing in their cart summary (see uploaded image). Does anyone know where/what i (additionally) need to comment out to remove this from the cart summary? As a side note: To remove the customer invoice address info displayed on the customer confirmation email i have just hacked the html email (order_conf.html) file. By turning the font/box/details of the displayed invoice address section to a white font i have made this section invisible. Does anyone know if this is the way to go or is there is a better way to go about solving the problem? Hope you can help - really appreciate it as i'm loosing quite a few sales due to confusion. Thanks Ben
  12. How to remove invoice address

    Works well for 1.6
  13. I searched for and then edited the 'There are no carriers that deliver to the address you selected' in the OrderController.php file. OrderController.php is in /controllers/front directory. hope this helps
