  1. Background: So I have a client whose traffic has gotten big over the past year and my current dedicated server is not enough anymore, specially if they run a promo where thousands of users (1,000 - 1,500) simultaneously access the website to get the latest stuff. The server crawls and sometimes crashes. By the way current version of Presta is 1.6.1.6, looking to upgrade to 1.6.1.13 and not 1.7 since we have too much to customize. Now I know we haven't fully optimized the site but we are working on it already but we also need to upgrade the server as well since we are looking now far into the future where they will definitely grow bigger. So we have decided to get a DB server separately and run multiple EC2 instances under a load balancer so that anytime demand goes up, I wouldn't have to worry about the resources. And finally we are looking to load static content and media from an S3 Bucket. Question: My questions spawns from this line coming form Prestashop Document "Reminder: you must make it so that these folders are always synchronized: even if you add new products or change your theme, the CDN server must contain the latest version of all these files." Since I will be running an automatic load balancer where it will spawn additional EC2 when demand rises and removes them when demand goes down, is it really important to make the local EC2 folders and the S3 bucket synchronized? Can't I just start uploading/updating images and other static content in the S3 bucket and remove all of these in the local EC2 instance? I think it's kinda impossible to synchronize several instance of EC2 since only 1 instance will be permanently running and the rest will be spawned as the need arises. Thanks!
  2. It's now working again. Kindly mark as solve or delete this post. Thanks!
  3. I know this topic has been around so many times and I tried finding a solution w/c worked for almost a year and then now suddenly it's not working. So here's the situation... My shipping rates are for my local country only which is Philippines. Our Provinces (or States) are separated by different zones with different shipping rates. So I have a setup like this: Philippines -> Zone: Asia Capital -> Zone: Metro Manila Northern Island -> Zone: Luzon Middle Island -> Zone: Visayas Southern Island -> Zone: Mindanao Carrier Setting: Metro Manila - 80 Luzon - 120 Visayas/Mindanao - 150 So for the longest time this was working fine until today. Error is the usual "No shipping available to your zone" So I figured it must be the "Philippine -> Zone: Asia" that's creating this error w/c indeed was. Since Asia zone is unchecked on my Carrier then it's spitting out the error above. So I am confused right now how I was able to have this set up working for so long then suddenly today not anymore. I don't how to fix this. Is there a way for Presta to validate the "States'" zone instead of the Country's zone?
  4. I googled APCu and correct me if I'm wrong but is APCu only compatible with PHP 5.5? We are currently running PHP 5.6 on Prestashop 1.6.1.1 If I use opcache, which cache should I use in Prestashop performance settings?
  5. Just an update: We have managed to install the APC extension finally. After enabling it on Prestashop, it did indeed load much faster (the contents loads in 2-3 sec) BUT I'm having 2 issues; 1.) My TTFB is still something like 12sec on average. 2.) I get an Error 500 every now and then. Any suggestions or tools I can use to diagnose where the error is coming from? and how to make my TTFB faster? Thanks!
  6. Thanks for this. Just a quick update, we currently disabled cache and maybe that's why the productcomments module spiked? But I have also temporarily disable that module right now after seeing your report. We will install the APC caching extension later this day and see if it improves speed. I will have my team re-check the said module also Thanks again bud
  7. This started lately when the site (www.glamourbox.ph) started to attract more customers. The site runs on a dedicated server with a couple more domains but with very low traffic. Only Glamourbox has high foot traffic for the past couple of weeks. Server specs is dual core with 8GB RAM and is run by Pixelgate Networks My TTFB usually hovers at around 30sec and up sometimes even 90sec. I tried several options already. 1. Delete the connections, connection_page, connection_source database 2. set memory_limit at 512M, max_execution_time 6000, max_input_time 600 3. disable a lot of the statistics module (e.g. best customer, best product, page error, etc...) 4. disable file system cache 5. Already upgraded server from 4GB to 8GB Some things to note: 1. It's a beauty products site and so client wants a lot of high res photos (they insist) 2. We modified the theme heavily to accommodate the design they want. 3. We have a number of plugins installed and modded either for aesthetic purposes or for local market Any more suggestions where to look? I usually get the 503 error (capacity problem or maintenance) often but I have already upgraded the RAM to 8GB. They are time that my usage of RAM goes up to 80%. I figured it's not about the RAM anymore since nothing changed when I upgraded my RAM. Thanks in advance
  8. Hi Thanks for the reply, As of right now it's already working. We completely replaced the module and decided to recode it. Must have inserted a wrong code somewhere we couldn't find. Anyways, you can mark this solved thanks again
  9. Hi Good day! I need help on this problem I encountered. We have 1.6.1.1 installed on a server and we have customized it according to our client's spec. One of the requirement was a separate payment module for local 3rd party payment gateway. We use the BankWire module as a guide to create our local payment module called "DragonPay" Now everytime we successfully create an order, I would receive an order confirmation email (the one with an invoice) that contains the word "DragonPay" for every "0" (zero) it encounters. (see attached screenshot) Even the invoice filename will contain "DragonPay" in replacement of every "0". But if you open the invoice itself, all the details inside are okay. So my issue here is only the e-mail that contains the invoice on the body. All number "0" are replaced with the word "Dragon Pay". Any help much appreciated Thanks!
