gabriellecomte Posted July 6, 2015 Share Posted July 6, 2015 Hi,I was trying to install Prestashop 1.6.1 in my hosting, which is Windows hosting by the way, and I always get an error while "Create settings.inc file". The correct permissions were set on the installation folder by the hosting company, I tried several solutions, as unzipping the file directly in the server, changing the language of the installation to english, and install it using Internet Explorer, but the installation always gets stuck at this step. Swash Junior Posted July 7, 2015 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Well I found out something interesting, check the database version you are using, I had the same problem and after a couple of hours of working with the database settings and all that i decided to use an older version of mysql not the 5.7 i was using and 5.6 worked for me, switch to something like 5.5 or 5.6 and hopefully it works for you too.
