We want to install the new version but we cannot connect the database thru the install routine. Normally you have localhost but on 1and1 we have localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock. I have speak with 1and1 and the technican has told me the following: On a Managed Server you have two Version of SQL. One with MySql4 (this is with localhost) and One for MySql5. To make a Connection to this MySql5 Database the only possible Way is localhost:/ tmp/mysql5.sock. Your adress is for a normal webspace with only one Database - That is right - BUT NOT FOR MANAGED SERVER. I have also a prestashop 1.4 on the same Server - Works Perfect with localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock. What can we do now?
