Then after trying to find the cause. I went into PS/debug

Error message now is displayed on admin and I cannot get into Admin at all.

Any ideas where the problem might be ? or a way to get out of debug mode without going into admin (as i am totally blocked).

I'm trying to import stores contacts via a CSV file using the import page from Prestashop 1.7.4.2 but I have an error I really can't understand.

I'm loading the csv file, force IDs, skip row 1, select the columns and click on load but I have an error that tells me names' fields are invalid.
 

I've attached the CSV file and the screenshot of my error.
If you wanna try, just ignore the "state" column while configuring the import.

  I upgraded my test store from 1.7.0.5 to 1.7.1.0. During validation, I found that when I change from one product combination to another, the available product pictures no longer update to show the new combination. The pictures for the default combination still remain. This works fine in my production 1.7.0.5 build, where changing the combinations will cause the product photos to update. I checked in this product configuration and it does still have the correct photos chosen for each combination. Is this a bug with 1.7.1.0, or have I missed a step during upgrade.

Steps taken:

• 1 Click Upgrade from 1.7.0.5 to 1.7.1.0
• Clear Cache
• Flip SEO-Friendly-URLs back and forth
• Reindex my attributes, features
• Ctrl+F5 to reload the page

I am using my own theme, but its SUPER close to the classic theme. I forked my own from CLASSIC 1.7.0.5 to make a few small changes. 

Anyone else seeing this?

When I have one product associated in two categories then product position inside the category get confused. For example:

Product with ID 1269 is associated with Category:  http://mywebsite.com/18-CARS and when the product is associated with Category: http://mywebsite.com/CARS/87-TOOLS  then products Position inside category get confused only in category: http://mywebsite.com/18-CARS

Product positions inside: ps_category_product:   product 1268 position in category 18 -- > 101  ; product 1268 position in category 87 --> 1  . And the result is: product 1268 position inside category 87 --> 1 BUT in category 18 - POSITION 2

1. Default order by: Position inside category  -  Default order method: Ascending

2. Disabled the module Category tree links v2.0.0 - by PrestaShop

3. Advanced Parameters --> Performance -->  Clear cache

4. Open the website with Chrome and IE edge

5. Tried to move and disable products inside the category

6. I checked database - all looks good.

None of this helped

I want the behavior like ps 1.6.

I developped a while ago a shop using prestashop 1.6.1.x, it's using overrides and custom fields on many entities because I needed to write connectors that would translate our old, but trusty, custom AS400 erp to prestashop. A lot of work have been put into this to be able to seamlessly integrate prestashop to our current workflow. The core file were untouched in the process, I only extended using override system. 

NOW where this is getting interesting is that I need to somehow, do the same thing using prestashop 1.7.x, because I don't want this webshop to be outdated. From what I read, overrides are evil and everything should be contained in a plugin. 

But, how the hell am I will I be able to add fields to products, categories, vendors, suppliers.

Is there a kind soul that could help me or give little insights on how to accomplish,properly, custom fields ?

I get the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error just modules and products page on the prestashop admin panel. When i try to connect pages url is contain ...security/compromised.... I was changed the all modules names for the making disable. But its not help to me.

I noticed strange behavior on prestashop 1.7.2.2. If a create product with combinations, let say size L and then decide to delete that particular combination, I cannot generate it later anymore. So if I have sizes S, M, L and delete combination L, the generator does not work if I later decide to generate size L once again. Moreover, even if I delete a combination, it's still displayed on stocks page. So there I'm having all the combinations, even those which does not exist anymore. I can even modify the quantity of those combinations.

Anyone noticed this strange behavior? Any fixes for that?

I have a big problem with faceted search in ps 1.7.3. The module shows in the results of the filter also products not available. For example I select the size m as a filter, but the filter also shows me the products with the size m that is not available. There is a way for fix it?

Is there a way to disable new customer registration, aswell disable guest buy? My clients are limited and I only want to create accounts myself for them. I've seen some posts from 1 year ago but I get "page not working" and stuff like that when I touch the .tpl's. I saw a module that does that, but I was wondering if Prestashop had an option to do it.

In PS1.6 this was fairly simple, I just added the fields in the checkout template and called a few hooks to update the cart and the order.

Unfortunately in PS1.7 I can't really find any hooks in the checkout classes that would allow me to do this. What would be the proper way to do this in PS1.7?

I change something in classic theme ( file theme.css), save, changes are entered in the file.

In the section Performance/Advanced Parameters of backoffice I turn ON Smart cache for CSS and... all changes are out, showing is original setting of theme.css, despite of cleared cache and recompiled template.

If I turn OUT Smart cache for CSS  - changes in theme are presented.

The override does not work?

I'm new to Prestashop and just installed the new 1.7.2.4 Version a few days ago to test it.
Today I've seen that the customer login doesn't work. It delivers "Your Authentication failed" message. The only way to login succesfully is to reset the password, then you are logged in until you try to login the next time. If you check in the backend there is no updated information to the last login of the customers.

whenever I add a product, its name doesn't apear in the backoffice product listing. When I click on the product page, the name is there, but when listing the products, it's replaced by "N/A".

This happens ONLY with new products and with ALL new products. Old products apear fine in the listing.

P.S.: My front office is in Greek, but my backoffice is in English. I don't know if that has to do with anything.

All the product names seem to have no name (N/A) [see the screenshot].

They were uploaded using either Greek language as profile language or English but their names are not visible if the profile language is english and not Greek.

How may I fix that so that in all of the profile languages the names will be the correct strings and not N/A??

i am trying to add a module to a specific cms page

however cms pages don't let me run any smarty code  which mean i can't call any of my hooks.

i have seen solutions for 1.6 but they all revolve around editing cms.tpl which doesn't seem to exist in 1.7.

could anyone suggest a solution?

I don't to enter in admin panel - Internal server error.

After enable debug mode - nothing to change. Internal server error.

The problem now is that I can't revert to 2.2.1; the only version available from the Prestashop Addons within the BO is 3.3 which gives me PHP errors.

Does anyone know if there is an archive of older module versions where i can get a .zip to reinstall 2.2.1 so that my site functions again?

I install prestashop version 1.7.3 and add new products. The products have a lot of combinations. I see the combinations on my product page (see screenshot) 

When i update a product with combinations, then we get a problem. I see nog longer the products on the backoffice. (see screenshot), 

The product is not longer working on the backoffice. 

Can maybe somebody help me with this problem?

We want to disable front shop page, but rest all should be functional, what i mean is that, We will have our own website and pages and on that pages we will put item descriptions and attach the like to directly to the shopping cart or product. 

example: 

My main shop page is a html page like www.example.com , when customer visit that page and read the descriptions of a item and then there will be a link that link should go to either product page in Prestashop or cart then the customer and admin use all prestashop functionality and finish the transaction. 

currently my domain www.example.com is pointing to the front store page, i just want to disable it , but i can get all the main links to add my own html and hook it up. What i am doing that the prestashop front shop page and other product/catagory  pages are standard , you can't design it by your own way actual what i want.

I am working on a way a customer can order balloons to be picked up in store. 

I am having some difficulty getting it right.

Step 1: Choose balloon

Step 2: Choose balloon quantity

Step 3: Choose how many weights (if any) are required.

I need the page to independently calculate how many balloons ($1.50 x 10) and add on the cost of weights ($2.50 x 2, for example). Total should be $20 but what its doing now is adding the cost of weight $2.50 to balloon $1.50 and making it $4 x 10. Which isnt right.

I am using Prestashop 1.7.3

On the bottom of the front page there is a block called My Account.

I find the My Account Block on my module list but there is only possible to deactivate or activate.

I want to edit the information: Remove "Credit note" and keep the rest.

Can anyone help me were to remove this link ?

If you are working in the module section of Prestashop  backend on a local server and then you disconnect from the internet, accessing the modules section throws up an error page with the message - 

ConnectException in CurlFactory.php line 126:

cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: api-addons.prestashop.com

The module section will only start working again if you connect back to the internet. If you do not, it will continue to show error and you cannot do anything except you go to other pages on the backend.

It seems Prestashop is trying to connect to api-addons.prestashop.com and then display an error if it cannot. This does not look right. The module area should not become inaccessible because you are not connected to the internet.

I hope the developer do something about this because it is easy to miss.

I can not figure out how to add translation to any module in PS 1.7. I have example on Wirepayment module, I tried also on another, custom modules. None of listed below ideas did not work.
I understand these translations are not showing in .xlf translation files automaticaly. So:

1. How to force prestashop to add my custom translation and make it visible via backoffice?

2. Which code is correct for (if there is difference)?
a.) standard module,
b.) theme module.

I am using prestashop 1.7.x

In backoffice on product page and under Options it is possible to remove a tick in a box when the product is not available.

Is it possible to get a ribbon on the image saying "Not available" when the box is unticked ?

Or do I need a module for this ?

I know there is a module for adding ribbons but then I need first to untick the box and then add the ribbon,.  Means two steps.

Anyone done this ?

there is one thing that bothers me a lot about Presta 1.7.5.X BackOffice - when editing product, there is "x" instead of product name in the meta title (tab/window name) - see screen below. It makes editation of multiple products at same time kinda confusing and not very effective.

In categories and actually everything else in BO it works just fine - category name is shown, module names are shown etc.

Can we do anything about it?

Sorry to see so many negative posts and comments, I appreciate all the hard work put into 1.7, it really looks great, a lot more user friendly. I hope module developers can keep up.  

Has anyone figured out how to display prices with taxes included in the Back Office Product Catalog in PrestaShop 1.7+?

Is it an SQL thing? what does " 0 AS `price_final` " mean in the query? Does it make an empty column? And where does that column go if it does? The query is exactly the same in 1.6 so it's weird the output is different in 1.7

Does anybody have any resources to share about how the databases/tables are thought out/work in PrestaShop? I see that products have a single price field in the product database which is tax excluded, and I can understand why, things would get messy if it didn't... But then where is the final price kept, or how is it calculated? Could it be calculated with an SQL query or is it done with Javascript? I could ignore tax rules, I only have one tax so a simple calculation would suffice...

Or  better yet, would it be logical/doable to have a feature where the user chooses if the price in the database includes the tax or not, and then the site changes calculations accordingly?  

Anybody any thoughts on the matter?

The theme is the original child theme with some minor changes (in css and templates only, not in the core or the javascript files).

In 1.6.1 when entering a value in the product feature fields ( customise fields) this was visible over all languages after saving. And if this needed to be edited, next to language button there was ALL option, meaning you could update/delete all feeds over all languages at once. 

In 1.7 I can't find this option. Does anybody know if this exist? Is it a setting?

If not, does anybody now how to alter the code/files

As much as I like to give credit to PrestaShop, it doesn't look as professional as if I put my own company information in this space. I have edited it in previous versions but can't find the correct file or translation in the back office. Can anyone tell me the correct way to change it?

Its nice having a slider, but sometimes its just to high for some of my templates. Besides which I do not want to go stretching my images to fit.

I am trying to show 2 products in 1 row at mobile portrait mode. I tried a few suggestions I found here but the threads are outdated and mentioned solutions are not working.

What should I do? If I need to edit some file it would be nice if you can mention the file path.

If i go with the mouse on this option, the system show/display me the category of each option img "menu_2.jpg"

I have 2x multistore Polish and German

When i install theme and activate it on Polish and then on German, German multishop is broken missing hooks etc.

PHP 7.2 and mariaDB.

I've upgraded Presta to latest version via the module. All has been done till the end without errors.

But after the page reload I have fatal errors on both FO and BO. I am not able to login nor rollback the update.

Ive searched the forum and google but cant find any solution.

Also I've uploaded entire /vendor folder to the server but it doesnt fix the problem. Seems it's the Symfony issue??

One problem is very acute however. I added a new Link Block and it didn't appear in the back office. However it did appear in the front office, and now I can't delete or edit it, because I can't see it in the back office.

I have deleted the cache, and also tried removing the widget from the hook and reattaching it, but the error persists.

I'm not sure how to go about deleting/editing the content.

Can anyone help, or has anyone had the same problem?

I have Prestashop 1.7.5.2 and in the mobile version, the thumbnails of the products have very poor quality, it looks pixelated, I tried to change it in Design - images, but by increasing the resolution of "home_default" the image is out of line. How can I solve that?

One of my client project have requirement to user can change product attributes from cart page.

I am using PS 1.7.2.2 with default theme.

In Prestashop 1.7 the main top menu is confirm 'hover' automaticly. I don't know why but in my page that doesn't work preciously. I would like change it to show submenu after click not hover. Hey all,I am having an issue with the module ps_facetedsearch.

Our store uses multiple "features" for example:

Gender:
Boy (10)
Girl (5)

Size:
Small (1)
Medium (1)

The field "Gender" shows the correct amount of features, but the field "Size" always show "1" even when having more products enabled with the size "small" of "medium" when selecting small or medium it will only show 1 product. Rebuilding attribute index does not solve the issue.

Any thought on where to troubleshoot?
