I am facing a problem now. As I have noticed ,people can not open a product page in my webshop (prestashop 1,7,5)  through their ios systems. They can open the webshop but not enter to a product and go on.

Hi,

I have this issue for a while now.
When i try to update a product with new text (Firefox + Chrome), first i have the Save and Stay + Save buttons loading more than 15-20s.
When i edit and save, it will take my changes from time to time. I left it for one day and only after that has made the changes. But not always. There are time when is not saving the changes at all.

For the images tab in product page, i can't add a new image instead of a old one.
In Firefox i don't even see the image that exist to that product and also can't add a new one (in chrome i can see it and also can upload a new one, it seems to be firefox issue).

 
I read a lot of threads from here and none worked for me.

I tried the followings:

1. Modify the form.tpl file from here Prestashop BackOffice Bug - Doesn't save - BUG FIX TUTORIAL

" Navigate the form.tpl file which can be found in “admin/themes/default/template/controllers/products/helpers/form/form.tpl”

Open it and delete the following lines: “submitHandler: function(form) { form.submit(); },”

I have selected in the Advanced -> Performance -> Force Compile.

2. I tried also from here:

I tried to use this Just go there -> YOUR-WEBSITE/adminfolder/themes/default/template/controllers/products/solution, but in the information files are more than one "disabled="disabled"" options and i don't know if is ok to break that code (deleting disabled="disabled" and other stuff - there are too many to delete and it seems risky).

3. Also tried to edit    /js/admin/tinymce.inc.js 

with adding before

It is not working for me any of those.

I also downloaded from github the source code for PrestaShop 1.6.1.23. I replaced from there the tinymce.inc.js and some other files with no visible changes to my problem.

I checked the php settings from my cpanel and i have the following:

max_execution_time    300
max_input_time    -1
memory_limit    512M
post_max_size    16M
upload_max_filesize    8M

I don't have the option to change 

max_input_vars = 10000

and also don't know where to read it. I will ask the hosting provider to tell what is the limit now. Can i see it somewhere until then?

Does anybody got an idea why is that long loading time, more than 15-20 seconds on the backoffice for the product page in both browsers? 

I have also some issues to change the Category and Subcategory images. Even if i delete the old image and upload a new one in the Category / Subcategory edit page it will not change to the new one. It will force the old one.

For that, i delete cahce from: 

\cache\smarty\compile

It is impossible to work like that. Instead of adding some products quickly i must pray for it to work...
 

I attached a picture from Firefox also with some error from the that tab. In chrome i haven't seen that error but the buttons have the loading time error.

How do I prevent this so I can work on the blog seamlessly?

I have tried resetting the Canada Post addon to no avail.  I also disable the Shipping Costs Based On Zipcodes addon, as well to no avail.  Only the UPS carriers are showing up.  I managed to get UPS to show up by assigning a carrier to the United States zone, but it is so expensive, that customers are abandoning their carts because of the shipping price alone.  I also tried resetting my API passwords for the Canada Post addon, but that did not work either.  I hope someone can help.  If you need more information, please ask.

I know this is a boring topic, but I'll take my chances. 

We're running PS 1.6.1.4 and we can't upload any csv files, not even the initial templates. There's absolutely no error message and debug doesn't help in this case. After hitting Import .csv data we're just taken back to the previous screen where we had to upload the file. 

We have the same issue for the full catalogue (products, categories, suppliers etc.)

Has anyone had this issue before and fixed it?

When I'm on mobile/tablet width size and I see left column as collapsible toggles. I open Layered Navigation toggle. The PLUS sign changes to MINUS sign. I select some filter - anything. The toggle sign changes back to PLUS (like if it was closed) and the toggle stops working. It's stuck and I cannot open it or close it. Other toggles, for example category or CMS links continue to work fine.

How I can fix that issue for mobile devices?

i fixed this in 1.6.0 with adding  $list->addBcc('info@xxxx.nl'); on line 352 of tools/swift/swift.php but 1.6.1.7 has different files in swift.

Removing products

To cancel a product, go to the product list, and either delete the product by clicking on the "Delete" action, or by clicking on the "Edit" action if all you need is to remove some quantity of a product.

I have cleared the cache and i have also cleared the browser, so that is not the issue, 

Please see attached photo error 1 is when signing in, and photo error 2  is where it ends up after about 3 minutes, 

i use many time a product pack function for to create a kit of "t-shirt" and deduct all quantity of pack but i have a problem when i have 2 combination of product pack through which i want deduct 2 different pack.

Esample:

I have 1 product pack called "Clothes" with 2 combinations:
combination 1: 5 t-shirt 
combination 2: 20 t-shirt

In the product pack i can only set to deduct 5 or 20 for all combination.
I cannot choose combination 1, deduct 5; combination 2, deduct 20.

Can you suggest a change to get this? Or can you suggest me a module?

like most of you , we got new bag, new problem, new issue with Presta Shop. 

Today problem is:

4 errors 

1. Error found : CData section not finished Use this native module to connect with your custom in country_module_list.xml file.
2. Error found : Premature end of data in tag additional_description line 1 in country_module_list.xml file.
3. Error found : Premature end of data in tag module line 1 in country_module_list.xml file.

Version is latest  1.6.1.21 , related 3. October 2018. Fresh install. No modules, no customizing, no products.
 

I have a client with PrestaShop version 1.6.0.9.

If I upgrade the store to the latest 1.7.x, It's going to be a huge project of setting up the store again, since we'll have to change the theme, and who knows which modules won't work, etc.

So my question is, is it a MUST to upgrade to 1.7?

I'm experiencing the weirdest problem with PrestaShop.

I have been setting up my site for the last month, and it all worked great so-far. I don't have any sales yet, so all I have been doing is setting products and designing the site. Today I pressed the Clients-option in the menu in my admin panel, and the admin panel immediately broke. I can now not enter the admin panel anymore, although my frontend is still online.

I have turned on error reporting in define.inc.php and I see a small error, but I believe the error is unrelated to the broken adminpanel.

I did notice one small weird thing in above's log. I see that the last line of the log is cut off for some reason. (weird. maybe it might be related?)

I'm running PrestaShop 1.6.1.20 and it's currently on PHP 5.6 (although it was running on PHP7.2 without problems before)

I need to remove the volume discounts table in the product description while keeping the price changing feature as the customer selects [+] for more quantity. 

I've tried both commenting out the feature in the tpl, which removed it, but also killed the price changing feature, 

and I tried the CSS code someone suggested in this post, but that did nothing at all.  Even after forced recompile.

I'm using PS 1.6.1.9.  Any ideas?

I think I need to edit the /adminxxxx/themes/default/template/controllers/orders/helpers/view view.tpl  file but I have no idea what the code should be.

Just read about the cookie vulnerability at https://www.ambionics.io/blog/prestashop-privilege-escalation and was wondering if there is a quick fix available for older versions of Prestashop without having to upgrade to the latest version, i.e. code changes that can be applied to older versions for this specific issue? I have a problem with my Prestashop new message notification.

When a customer writes us through our "Contact us" page, I get a blue notification on my PS backend and I also receive an e-mail. However I would like to be able to directly answer from the e-mail I receive as well as being able to read the actual message.

Actually the only thing I receive is an email which only notifies me that a new message has arrived, which is not  too useful.

Please Help me, I want to display a block in front

lately, the addition of new products to my store generates wrong friendly product link rewrite. My Prestashop is 1.6.1.9.

New products were added with CSV Import function.

The generated friendly link stucks with one particular item in my store instead of generating from the new product name.

As shown in the screenshots, the product Tallyhawk were rewritten as 25-metal-shelf instead of 25-tallyhawk. Manually re-generate the product link fixed the problem for now, but it's not feasible for hundreds of products.

What could possibly make the SEO generator stucks with a particular item?

To make it quick:

I have 4 carriers, all its billings are based on weight.

However I want free shipping to be applied once a certain amount of money (say >$200) is exceeded. I have set this under Shipping > Preferences , and i have set this to 200.

Problem is, when I cart something more than $150, my shop says i am entitled free shipping.

The "free shipping starts at $200" function in the BO is not working.

Any clue why this is happening?

I've searched for this issue and found solutions but not for what i need. I post here to find that is possible or not.

It is very obvious that for developing purpose it is best that backend to be in english.

The main website i need to be seen in Romanian.

Also, and here is the problem, when adding products or modifying modules they are all default in english.

How can i make that possible. Because if i change in any variations i will have all combinations except that one.

I tried in

Localization -> Romanian (and it is ok for the front end)

I also tried to disable English from the Languages, but then obviously, it goes full to Romanian.

And have also:

Translations -> Front end -> Romanian.

Tell me please if i have the chance to have backend in english and frontend in Romanian plus, when i add products to be in romanian also. Here can be made mistakes, forgetting to change the language and they will not show in main website if in romanian.

All my categories page images look very blurry in Chrome. Quality is good in other browsers like Firefox or IE. My original images resolutions are 1378x2000 and home_default size is 552x801. I tried different resolutions and the result is same. Added pictures, first one is Firefox, second is Chrome.

I haven't found solution for 2 days..

Maybe someone would know why this happens. I tested it in 5 different computers (in one computer quality was ok, other 4 had bad quality)

I have presta 1.6.1.18 and I don't have free review module. I saw there should be free module for review, but it doesn't exist on my prestashop. Could someone upload files for this module or maybe I can downlaod it from other site? I want upload it by FTP

But they all just adds 1 to the cart. 

1) Recently viewed and New products not displaying in left column,  I have de-installed/re-installed modules, checked their position in leftcolumn and everything looks ok.  When I dont list Index as an exception these show in the left hand column then, but not when Im browsing categories and products? Am I going wrong somewhere?

2) Payment logo is no longer displaying in product page? 

3) Combinations table is above product info/review.  Now I have found productfooter I think it was in Positions, but have been unable to work out how to move product combinations table below product info/review.  These two options do not appear as hooks together to change positioning?

4) Within the original boostrap theme, within Theme Configurator, I had 3 images displayed linking back to services on my main site, they are hooked to home, but since the theme install, they do not show at all, no matter where I hook them to?

So thats the tidying up to get it back to a state of where I had it previously, but a quick couple of further questions that I have noticed since the theme upgrade would be:

1) My product category thumbnails are now a lot smaller ithen the previous theme, can this size be changed anywhere? 

2) Category names dont appear central under category thumbnails, dependant upon how many characters make up the category name, so text appears central under thumbnail and others appear to be aligned left, this makes the uniform of the layout look odd?

It seems that some customers are able to check out using International shipping even though they have setup and saved a UK address.  A client has sent me some orders which clearly show that the customer has a UK address but changed shipping type to International and when checking out was able to get FREE SHIPPING because International shipping is set to FREE.

I've advised the client to set a price for international shipping but because they don't have a set rate from their courier, they require the customer to call them to get a quote after the customer has purchased an item.  This is why international shipping is set to free. 

What i don't understand is how some UK customers are able to even choose international shipping if they already have a UK address saved upon checking out?

I have logged in and tried it myself, but i can't workout how you can select international shipping after setting your address as UK based.  The only way you can do it is by adding a new (international) address and setting as default, but then it only provides you with international options.   

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

As I wrote in title, after typing email address to create new account in front end at my prestashop, click the button but nothing happen. It looks just like refreshing the page and no action. There's also no verify email sent to the email I typed.

I checked my setting already:

Preferences -> Customers ->  Send an email after registration YES

After I click the button to create new account, there is also no new email of that customer in my Customers -> Customers.

I'm using Prestashop 1.6.1.11

Any idea how I can fix it? Please help!

Considering I am adding thousands of cards that are mixed and not organized by their sets, rather than constantly referring to my excel sheet for the wholesale price, I would like to add a dropdown menu beside the wholesale price textbox to allow me to select the set name and put the price into the wholesale price textbox for me. This would save me a ton of time.

Where can I add this to the prices.tpl file?

What I need:

• I'm trying to get text after the price so that non logged in customers see the text after the price asking the customer to log in to see wholesale prices.
• Then I need this text to disappear once the customer has logged in.
• I need the text to show on both the category pages and product pages of all products.

Using Prestashop 1.6.14
We have delivery costs till 45,00 after that it's free delivery.
But when logged in as a customer it shows nicely: Free delivery when placing more than 45,00 in my cart.

But when not logged in, till 45,00 it's okay, it's showing the delivery costs but over 45,00 it says delivery costs to decide/calculate.

How can I solve this?

I've the necessity to find the categories by the search..

For example, if I've 3 products in the Category1, when I search Category1 I want to show the 3 products..
How to do this?

At the moment they are black text on white, but with the image banner slider, we feel the page isn't very obvious from an initial landing perspective for the navigation of products.  I would like to try to amend the colour of the text headings to a light blue and maybe increase the size to make the headings more prominent on the page?

It seems that fancybox not working only in this shop. How to repair it? 

I was trying to filter products in catalogue and see what products i have with no category association (Back office or Backend - admin area).

After searching on web haven't found any answer.

All answers are pointing to filter module for front end.

I want to see what products are left from erasing some initial test categories. Also i will need to see in the near future if the person who will add products will miss adding them to categories.

I tried to put in the category search box (from the table header in products page) words or symbols like: none, no, -- (this is the symbol showed for products with no categories) and got no results.

The only way i could see some is by clicking the arrows for sorting them. But i don't know if that will go well for the time when will be more products. Is that normal sorting with alphabet and the ones who aren't in any category will be showed first?

Have any idea? Is the sorting option the answer?

It were good that if were some option to select from existing ones or no category option.

There's only one product. But I have exported it to other five categories.

Default category isn't XC90 (2003 - 2014), it is 850, S70, V70 (up to 2000)

But when I click product, it jumps to default category and also shows default

category's other products. Should it do it that way? I thought that clicking

product will stay on that category where product is and other products shows products

which are really in that category what I'm looking for.

When creating new category, I get that error (error reporting on). It is possible that category id is too high. How I can change categoryid autoincrement to start from ie. 1000?

If the customer is paying using a currency that is not the default currency, the order will be shown as Payment Error.

Payment is well received by PayPal, there is no error at all.

The customer will think there is an error because Prestashop is returning Payment Error in the order state and will start re-ordering again and again...

This will cause 1) Customer unsatisfaction 2) Merchant will have to refund and pay the refund fees for each duplicate orders.

This is not an error that appears sometimes only. It is each time someone is paying using the non default currency.

Settings:

I am using Prestashop 1.6.1.17 and PayPal native module (this issue is the same with Hipay native module)

Default currency for the country UK is set to GBP - no decimals

Will be good to fix this issue in the next update.

When I remove category, should its ID from ps_category also disappear and descriptions etc from ps_category_lang?
