I've looked everywhere with no luck, so I'd greatly appreciate your help.

I installed Prestashop 1.7.6.2 with clean installation, and then used instructions from here: https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/basics/keeping-up-to-date/migration/ to migrate my database from 1.6.

I managed to sort out some bugs with the data and the backoffice seems to be working ok.

However, my front page is completely blank (other than the logo). (It's here if you want to have a look: http://alexisport.com/el/)

Do you have any idea as to what might be wrong here?

I've made an upgrade of Prestashop (1.6.1.8 to 1.7.6.2.) and when I've downloaded the module Paypal, it's no more possible to see the orders and to download invoices in the back-office.

In the frontend, it's impossible to order something.  At the end of the cart, when I click on order, I have an error.

If the module Paypal is desactivated, I have no problem.

Can you help me ?

Upgrade was successful without any errors and everything seems to be working fine except one critical issue.

Check attached screenshot and here is the shop URL. I can't add product to cart and all the values are 0.00. The cart stays empty even after page reload.

Note that file permissions are set correctly and all caches are cleared.

Has anyone a fix for this issue?

Having real troubles updating prestashop test site store to the latest 1.7.
I've been through the various forum posts, exploring similar issues and fixes that other people have tried but to no avaail.

Currently using PS1.6.1.8, PHP7.0.
Using the latest 1-click module works updating to the latest 1.6 but fails updating then to 1.7.
I have tried it with clearing the cache folder, disabling overrides and all but basic modules.

I have then tried to update via the manual method but that threw up some different issues (see below).

I tried to update Prestashop with this tuto :

I well followed all step... Made it several times.

If I do only http://[mydomain]/install, it ask me to install a new Prestashop... I done it to test, it well kept the info of my database for example.... but it create a new prestashop boutique and I do not have anymore my products, images, theme...

Don't know what to do... Christmas arrives, and the website is OUT since several weeks now.

I had an error 500 because my version of Prestashop was no more supported with my PHP version if I well understand at the beginning. 

Is there maybe a solution to create a new Prestashop, but to upload after with some backup files ?

Today updated PS to 1.7.6.

After update everything was fine, but was not able to access product page:

Prestashop updates regularly result in unstable situations. This instability is nearly always in the files or the configuration settings.In either case this script can be a solution as it leaves both behind. It is far superior to a csv export as that copies only a part of your data.

Copy_shopdata should be installed in the same directory as Prestools as it uses Prestools for authorization. It should be installed in the new shop, after which you fill in the database data of the old shop in copy_shopsdata's config file.

Copy_shopdata is meant to repair installations. You should leave the upgrade process to Prestashop.

Documentation is in the pdf file.

PS. Nearly any shop can be repaired and/or updated this way. If you are afraid to do it yourself you can hire me to do it for you.

PS-2. Some people have tried to use this tool for updating from 1.6.1 to 1.7. This is to some extent possible as the database structure is very similar. However, nowadays that shouldn't be done anymore as Prestashop's update software now can update from 1.6 to 1.7

I have a problem, I imported products without adding a default supplier. Now how can I associate a supplier that I have created in the shop through a query? I notice that ps_product_shop does not have a column for id_supplier but ps_product table has it.

So, what I want to do is this: when a client want to create a new account, that page must have only these fields:

Title, First name, last name, emai and pass.

How can I remove "Sign up for our newsletter<br><em>You may unsubscribe at any moment. For that purpose, please find our contact info in the legal notice.</em>" ??

I'm trying with automatic update, but it gives me the "Error Unable to check md5 files" error.

I tried to upload the zip file in download folder, and also the other solution in the latest folder with the latest prestashop files, but nothing changed...it's always the same error..

So i would ask you how could i upgrade?

The website is in a subfloder, cause i would try the upgrade before to do it in the base prestashop website (the same of the subfolder).

If is not possible, could you suggest a way to export products/categories/attached/attributes etc from 1.4.5.1 so to import into a fresh installation of PrestaShop?

I am trying to update my Prestashop from V7.0 something to the latest.

My Prestashop has no 3rd party modules with a very basic setup.

I first tried using the 1 click uploader but nothing happens when clicking the button.

I then tried a manual update, it shows a blank page on the upgrade script: /install/upgrade/upgrade.php

I have tried turning on debugging, dev mode and nothing is working.

Visiting the admin directory mentions deleting the install directory which is fine but no database updates have been made thus far.

Any assistance/recommendations are appreciated.

Today I tried to update my old prestashop website. First I created a clone, downloaded the latest 1-click-update addon and started the update.

I noticed php gave an error (I was still running an obsolete version).

So, first I tried upgrading this to 7.1 but then the clone didn't work at all.

So, I went back to 7.0 and the clone worked again. I ignored the PHP warnings and started the update. Well,  I got a lot further than the previous time I tried to run the update, but unfortunately I ended up with an error:

I now have the option to refresh the page or to go back to a backup (there are apparently 3 backups in the dropdown, but I never created these... as far as I can recall)

So, what should I do now? I haven't refreshed yet (the last time nothing worked anymore after the refresh and I had to start all over with a new clone).

I am not a webmaster by the way, we try to maintain our shop ourselves.

It was an old presta intallation: 1.6.1.5

I've tried disabling all modules one at a time and that did not help.

My php version is 7.1 and i've tried running 7.0 and 7.2 and it gives the same error.

I used the 1 click upgrade module to upgrade, it was upgraded to the latest version before i used it.

I have also updated the prestashop warehouse theme to the latest version according to the documentation, no issue with theme modules or the theme itself it seems.

I've gone through file permissions and made sure every folder in /modules and /themes has at least 755. 

I could do a full restore through cpanel, but i would like to try to avoid this, as i have had a few orders since the issue began 2 days ago.

We had a site in PS 1.6, which we upgraded to 1.7 (I don't remember which version exactly, but we have upgraded now to the latest PS - 1.7.6.1). I have tried to look for a similar problem on the forum but I haven´t found this error exactly, maybe its a combination of many things. I have seen that upgrades with combination products sometimes give problems, though.

The thing is, we had tons of products imported. Initially they had no  PS combos, but when we migrated to 1.7 we added them attributes/combinations.  We did have a module before (That did not work under 1.7), that kind of made combinations (my clients product is eyewear and it has many permutations, and sometimes they are not related, I guess thats why they bought it the first time around), this time we have combinations + an extra module for an added attribute that does not impact on the first combinations (does that make sense?)

Well... the imported products don't have a default combo. And we can't even save it. PS does not give any error, and shows us the OK with the green alert on the screen, but it really isn't saving.

What can it be? Some people have had problems saving with old products and the product had tags with weird chars, but we dont use tags...

Now another problem. Today I got a little scared after an index-update because the Google search console suddenly told me that all my pages are no longer mobile-friendly, which they already were with 1.6. The classic Theme 1.7 looks good already, at least better and more mobile than the old 1.6. The problem is this ... by default, PrestaShop blocks important resources in the robots.txt with the lines

Disallow: */cache/

Disallow: */css/

Disallow: */js/

Unfortunately, this also includes '/themes/classic/assets/cache/', which is the resources that Google needs to have access to evaluate the layout. Otherwise, the page is only partially loaded. If the CSS and JS files, among others, can not be loaded, the pure HTML is assessed without styles. Clickable elements are suddenly too close together because they are too small, and the content may be wider than the screen. Boom, the page in the index is marked as not mobile-friendly, although it is actually. This could now have fatal long-term consequences in the Google Mobile-First-Index and should be fixed immediately.

Adding the lines

in the robots.txt again allows access to these files (theme styles, scripts, icons and fonts) and can prevent worse. For me it has restored the original state: Page is mobile-friendly.

If you're concerned, it's best to check with the Google tool itself: https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly

Keep in mind that after you uploaded the new robots.txt, it may take a while for Google to internalize it, so results are not immediately visible using the mobile-friendly tool. Give it 30 minutes, and check again later, to verify that your site now is mobile-friendly.

I want to install any prestashop module but after the execution, prestashop displays an error message.  know that I tested with all the same installation methods error message, on the other hand prestashop recommended me to update the prestashop to version PS 1.6.1.24, but I can not I do not have the hand to use the upgarde module.

Ik have done en update of PHP and MySGL versions and now the front office appears to work but no products are shown. Also the back office vieuw is normal but when you click on orders or products the wrror appears

I want to update my presta from 1.6.1.5 to the latest stable version.

So, first I cloned the website and database as mentioned in this topic:

I can login in the backend, but as someone else suggested, I keep getting the message: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

So, I followed the steps to create a new htaccess file, but still get the same error. So, please advise.

My live site is in the root directory, the clone in a subfolder /presta17

So I changed the shop url's as follows:

Shop domain: www.myshop.nl/presta17

SSL domain: www.myshop.nl/presta17

Base URI: /

I tried different values, but the error remains.

What should I do next?

Version comparison simply wont load, and changing setting in Advance parameters wont save any changes.

Am i missing something?

After upgrading PS from 1.6 to 14.7, none of my products are visible online.

If I want them to be visible I have to go to the admin and open it and save it.

After this action it is displayed.

I have 6000 products so I can't do this action as many times as I have a product.

Do you have an idea to do this in the database? Know the value to be updated ?

I made a backup of the old version which is also not working, when i restore it.
Every time i restore my backup it all seems fine at the beginning, then i go to my backoffice and do some kind of action (change theme, disssable module, change order status etc.) - No matter what i do i results in the error attached, and then afterwards i am unable to do anything.

The only thing i can do from there is restore my backup again and continue in this evil circle.

I'm having permision problems after upgrading from 1.6 to the latest version. 

I reset the table ps_access, because I have problems with permisions in all the website. I reset them uploading the table from a Prestashop fresh installation.

But now, I don't have permisions to modify modules

I'm superuser. I create a new user, and assign them to SuperUser.
I probe to create a new Profile with all permisions, but I can't do that. I can't click on the checkboxes.

Any ideas? Very very thanks.

Correct update without faults.

When I update the browser:
Error 500 in backoffice and frontoffice.

With the following error:

Obviously the password is correct.

Try reinstalling Prestashop manually.
Try clearing the cache (cd myshop; rm var/cache/* -Rf)
Try deactivating modules
Try deactivating template

Nothing works

Try changing the password in MySQL to a simpler one with only numbers and letters.

I clear the cache... and it works correctly.

There is some problem with parsing this type of passwords in the latest version.

I would open a bug but I don't have time, I post this in case someone can save hours of frustration and wasted time.

I'm an absolute newbie to PrestaShop.

My website (www.farmyummies.co.za)  was on PrestaShop 1.7.4.0 before with no issues until one day when I couldn't log in with a 504 Gateway timeout error.  Turns out that disabling the Gamification module fixed this error.

I attempted to upgrade to PrestaShop 1.7.4.4 but had issues with 1Click, so my hosting provider wiped everything and installed 1.7.4.4 from scratch.  

Now, everything's there, except that the product images aren't showing, as follows:

I tried to delete one product image on the backend and re-uploading it but it's still not showing.  But I do have all the images in the backend, as follows:

What can I do to fix this without messing with code, etc?

Quite urgent as I have a meeting with the big bosses this afternoon and the site needs to be functional by then ..... 😟

After many fixes, he could have Prestashop 1.7.6.0 working with the Warehouse theme. However I still have one to fix and I don't know how to do it.

I have many problems with Prestashop 1.7.5.1 and later versions.  I am a newbie.

When adding a product to my cart, the page refresh does not work, and the cart seems to be empty. However, it can be seen that the product has actually been added because when the page is refreshed, the basket shows the product.

The updates worked correctly before, but I can not tell at which version of Prestashop or PHP the problem started to occur. I noticed the problem during the update to version 1.7.6 because products could not be added AT ALL to the cart, and the quick overview did not work either. I went back to version 17.5.1, but the problem persisted. I also downgraded the PHP version, but the update did not work. Being a beginner with Prestashop, I prefer asking for help from more experienced people before creating fatal damage.

I also tried disabling the non-Prestashop modules (there are only a few), but that did not change the situation.  I do not have the Google Analytics module (I think).
Where could the problem be?

We have bought the necessary SMS from one of our local service provider . But I m very new to prestashop and have no idea how to go ahead with this . How am I going integrate the third party API into my account 

I am wondering if anyone who has used advanced stock management in 1.6. has moved to 1.7 and is using PrestaShop ERP - Advanced Stock Module https://addons.prestashop.com/en/stock-supplier-management/32549-prestashop-erp-advanced-stock.html. If yes, how is it working out?

I am using 1.6. and with advanced stock management and random errors in product quantities seem to increase over time and have become quite annoying, so I have to look for another solution. I would prefer to do all inventory in Prestashop instead of connecting with some other software.

I had a shop running on 1.7.5.2 and I decided to upgrade to 1.7.6 but what I want to do is to install also a new theme and get rid of all old modules, so I decided the best option is to Install a fresh new PS 1.7.6 onto a provisional subdomain and transfer Categories, Attibutes and Products with all images combinations...etc from 1.7.5.2 to 1.7.6 then to apply the new theme.

The problem is I;m not shure what MYSQL tables to export and import into new one.
I tried to export categories and products from admin menu but when I try to import into new one the options for import are limited for example I don't have price, reference number ... and so on.
I also upgraded the old shop based on 1.7.5.2 to 1.7.6 and I still don't have those options for import.

there is anyone who can tell me which tables from mysql database i should export and then import into new installation ?
By now I tried with almost all tables but I dont have the product pistures and names under Catalog > Products. Just ID Reference Price and combinations. 

Our current prestashop version 1.7.4.4 but we wonder if we will upgrade to 1.7.5.2 it will change all of our customization setting which we did in our website ?

Please advice us since we faced problem on some features in this version 1.7.4.4.

I then switched on Debug mode in the admin panel. Now the web site is working but I do not get any error messages. So I do not know what was wrong. If I switch debug mode off again, I get the blank screen on the main page.

I discovered an entry concerning v1.6.1.17 that a contributor added (== 0) to the below if statement to fix it on the default back end /default-bootstrap/shopping-cart.tpl file. I checked my install and it is correct.

This seems to be a bug... Any ideas how to fix it.

My PrestaShop is 1.5.6.2 version. I tried to upgrade to 1.7.6 version. But  I made a very stupid mistake. I did following things before my website stops working.

1. I downloaded the latest 1.7.6 and unzipped to my desktop. 

2. I dragged the installation files to public theme files using FTP to install it. 

3. Then I opened my web address to install it.

4. I found I forgot to back up all the data

5. Then I immediately cancel the installation and also I deleted the installation files from FTP.

Now, I can not open my web anymore and I am so frustrated.  I attached the photo below. Can some one give me good advise to save my website? If not, what is the best way I should do. Really appreciate!!

I have some doubts on upgrading major versions, specifically from 1.6.x to 1.7.6

I have read this topic here to first clone my shop:

but my question are:

1) If I execute 1-click upgrade enabling the option "Disable non-native modules" are also 3rd parties plugins' tables and data safely kept/upgraded?

2) After 1-click, should I re-enable 3rd parties plugins and then upgrade them OR first upgrade and then re-enable them?

3) should I disable the 3rd party theme and then upgrade it OR keep it enabled and upgrade it soon after 1-click?

4) would the system translations?

5) ...something else to keep in mind?

What I found is that in 1.7.60 there is no PEAR.php file in the classes folder, there is only a PEAR.php file in the vendor/pear folder

we have tried to upgrade our PrestaShop in test from 1.7.1.1 to 1.7.3.0 using  the upgrade module.

After that the site doesn't work anymore, it displays error 500.

I am using prestashop 1.6 and now I want  to do one click upgrade my site with prestashop 1.7 but i couldn't that. I already tried to do more then 4 times but I can’t, every time I got a massage form there .htssss file problem or something like that. And finally I got result, my server has been crushed unfortunately. That's why last 3 days nobody can't visit our site due to "HTTP ERROR 500" problem. Even I couldn't open my prestashop Dashboard panel too. At last our Provider told us a root folder has been missing from our server when we were trying to upgrade.

After then I had tried to install manually in my local host with xampp but I steel couldn't.  Plz let me know what the problem was?

This morning - I tried to upgrade my site to the latest version of Prestashop using the 1-click upgrade module.  Big mistake...

After the update - I noticed that all of the links on my admin dashboard resulted in blank pages - and I couldn't take my page off of maintenance mode.  So I tried to roll it back.  I got an error "Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded" and after that - I got a 500 HTTP error when trying to access the backend at all, while the main page was just stuck on the maintenance page.

I had my web hosting provider roll the whole site back to before I attempted the upgrade - now my main page looks perfect again - but I can't log into the dashboard - trying results in a page with the following text:

Oops! An Error Occurred

The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error".

Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Like I said the website looks and behaves fine - but I can't do anything in the background!  I'm dead in the water!

Can someone please help me figure out what's going on?  I'd really appreciate it!

I have enabled debug mode and got details on the errors going on (there are many) - I have attached a txt version of these errors.

After upgrade I could view home page and catalog pages but when I tried to view a product page, I would get the following shown in Debug mode:

"Fatal error: Access level to ProductController::$quantity_discounts must be protected (as in class ProductControllerCore) or weaker in /override/controllers/front/ProductController.php on line 262"

I went and viewed the file and line 262 is the last line in the file and only shows the symbol  } 

I disabled all third party modules and still wouldn't work. I had to do a rollback to get my site back up and running.

I used the one-click upgrade to upgrade from 1.7.5.1 to 1.7.6.0 but during the last part upgrading the database it will gave error

I tried the latest 1 click upgrade from 1.5.2 (clean install) to 1.5.6 and I get the error [Ajax / Server Error for action unzip] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:"Backend fetch failed " jqXHR: " "

So to next step:

I manually uploaded the 1.5.6 files in the folder admin/autoupgrade/latest and in expert mode I selected chanel 'local directory'.  Is that correct?
Under that selection it still points to the prestashop zip file and it does not let me type the version under "Please tell us which version you are upgrading to (1.7.0.1 for instance)", the field turns yellow.
I saved the setting in expert mode.

Result: -> Same error, but why does it want to unzip while all files are in the latest directory?

I see many posts on this forum but no answer.  I think one click upgrade is making a mess out of it.

I took over a 1.6.1.6 Prestashop version, with a lot of problems.
I will setup a new version soon, and correct all the problems, but for now I need to install Stripe on this one.

I have downloaded the "v2.0.0-stripe_official.zip" file and uploaded it from the admin.

I created a test server locally where i restored my shop for tests before upgrading.

The 1-click Upgrade show me "You come from the future! You are using a more recent version than the latest available!"

and it leaves the field "Latest official version for archive channel" blank.

If I  try to download locally the file named "prestashop_1.6.0.14.zip" to folder "/admin/autoupgrade/download" it doesn't find the file and says "Latest official version for archive channel : N/A"

Any help would be appreciated.

I have upgraded from 1.6.X.X to 1.7.5.0, everything seemed to be ok, now all of a sudden I have this error! when I say all of a sudden, I mean that the upgrade was made a month ago and the error is about 2 days old

So there are already numerous threads on this topic, and I've tried a number of those solutions...changing php versions, small code edits...with no success. 
This particular error seems to be related to either jquery / bootstrap version updates dropping support for typeahead function.

None seem to mention my version:  1.6.1.18

What instructions should I follow?

If it makes any difference my shop very simple, embryonic really,  so there's not masses of data to worry about for instance and quite a bit I suppose I'd be happy to do again from scratch if it were quicker/easier.

I upgradet yesterday a shop from PS 1.6.1.6 to 1.6.1.11. PHP 7.0 is (and was) used.

Now I have following problem:

When I navigate to orders/orders and open an order in detail, the page is not loaded correctly. The head of the source code is totally missing.

This wrong view only contains orders, which were already in thy system before the update. Orders I tested after the uprade are shown correctly.

I'm trying to upgrade my shop from 1.4.11.1 tol 1.5 and will end with 1.6 using 1 click upgrade.

But i say that i got the latest version 1.4.11.1 it's not possible to change this.....
