How can I make sure the provided data is reliable?
The transactional data (orders, revenue, carts,...) are directly coming from your store. The acquisition data (sessions, uniques visitors, canals,...) are coming from your Google Analytics account. That way, relying on expertise of both sources, PrestaShop Metrics solution guarantees 100% reliable and authentic data.
Why am I restricted to a 3 months date range to display my stats?
To optimize our data requests and guarantee a performant service, the free version of that service can only allow you to request data for the last 3 months.
AVAILABLE SOON: We are actually working one a new version, making the data available for a history of 15 months while guaranteeing a high performance of front office and back office.
Configuration
What is the benefit of the PrestaShop Account and should I have an account to use that service?
PrestaShop Account is a unique account allowing you to connect different new PrestaShop services to your store and ease their management in common. You will need to connect an account or create one to activate the rest of this module. This account can be used to connect another service afterwards, like PrestaShop Checkout for instance.
Do I need a Google Analytics account to use that service?
To fully enjoy PrestaShop Metrics and benefit visits statistics, you will be asked to connect your Google Analytics account while configuring this module. If you don’t have one yet, please create an account on Google Analytics.
My Google Analytics account is well connected, but it seems that I don’t have any tag installed on my store, what should I do?
Your Google Analytics tag sends data and events from your store to Google Analytics. PrestaShop Metrics can detect automatically if a tag is already implemented. If you have a warning about the missing tag, please install one to send these data to Google Analytics. You can implement that tag from different ways, with a few modules on PrestaShop Addons marketplace or easily with the native PrestaShop module Google Analytics.
I can't connect to Google Analytics or I am told I have no properties, what should I do?
We have not been able to identify your Google Analytics account. First check that your Google Analytics account is correctly created/configured by visiting the Google Analytics website. Your Google Analytics account must contain at least one property. Once your Google Analytics account is correctly configured, go back to the PrestaShop Metrics configuration page (refresh the page if needed) to try the connection again. If the problem persists despite the relevance of your Google Analytics account, please contact us by following the contact link available on the same page.
My Google Analytics account is connected and it seems that a tag has been detected but not corresponding to the logged in Google Analytics account in PrestaShop Metrics. What should I do?
PrestaShop Metrics can detect automatically that a Google Analytics is present on your store. If you have that kind of message, that means it is not linked to the same account that just logged in with. It is probably used with another account. Please change the Google Analytics account used in PrestaShop Metrics to match the one used for your Google Analytics tag. If the issue lasts, please contact our customer support team with the button on the Help tab.
The previous statistics blocs are no longer displayed on my Dashboard but are they still available?
By activating PrestaShop Metrics, your previous statistics graphs in the Dashboard by default are automatically deactivated to avoid overloading your dashboard. However, these modules have not been uninstalled and can be reactivated in one click from your module parameters page. Also, your Stats tab in your menu stays available and untouched.
Can I use multistore mode with PrestaShop Metrics?
Technically speaking, it is possible to use a multi store mode. However, you will need to configure that service on every single store separately and you won’t be able to watch correctly dashboard data for the overall stores.
