Detailing is the selling of car maintenance products, which is what Raphaël has been doing for three years. He tells us about Maniac-Auto.
My background is rather original: I used to be a data scientist at Google, but I’ve always wanted to start my own company, and at the end of 2015 I decided to go for it and took on the challenge! I now work in Bois d’Arcy, in the Maniac-Auto warehouse that houses some fifty brands, where we offer everything you need to keep your car spic-and-span.
From the start, PrestaShop was the obvious choice. We needed a simple program for everyday management, but above all, a solution that could adapt to our needs and be upgraded at our pace. We use PrestaShop every day, we must be able to administer it easily and add features as needed, from the large catalog of modules that’s available on the Addons marketplace.
Maniac-Auto’s forte is logistics. We use lots of modules to manage our catalog and optimize our work so that all orders are shipped the same day, and the customer can pick it up the following day. This is the part that mobilizes most of our resources, which represents about half of our team.
