Giuseppe is our Ambassador in Battipaglia, Italy, and has been pretty active recently. He organized meetups regularly in his area and is always ready to help the PrestaShop Community. To thank him for his involvement and dedication, he has been chosen to be our Ambassador of August. We’ve asked him a few questions, check out his answers below.
Three words to best describe you:
If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?
“Digital Life Coach”, of course! It is a state of mind for me!
What is your hidden talent?
Have you got another question?! :D
Anyway, I love singing and everybody says that my voice is very similar to my favourite rock singer, Luciano Ligabue.
A favorite line from a movie?
“What the eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes.” John Travolta as Gabriel in Codice Swordfish.
If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go and why?
I would like to go to the Silicon Valley to visit the places that inspired the greatest minds of IT. Without that piece of history we would not be here for this interview.
About your country
What is your favorite local food or drink?
Pizza, beer and mozzarella! Do you know the “Zizzona” of Battipaglia? It is a very big mozzarella! You have to taste it, absolutely!

Give us a fun fact about your country:
We are famous in the world because we talk with our hands and we have a gesture for everything :D
What is your favorite PrestaShop store?
In this moment I like Fruttaweb a lot. I think it is an example of good practices.
What opportunities does PrestaShop provide in your country?
In Italy, we have the PrestaShop Day, in Milan, and thanks to Luca Mastroianni, the Country Manager in Italy, PrestaShop is always participating in e-commerce events in our country.
These are great opportunities to do networking and to put in contact companies, developers and PrestaShop.
Then, there are meetups! ;)
What is your feedback on the new major version, PrestaShop 1.7?
We had to do it! The new features improved the user experience of the Back Office, which is really amazing. Though there’s still a lot of work to do, the developers have drawn the roadmap and I’m sure that by the end of the year there will be plenty of PrestaShop 1.7 stores, even in Italy!
About being an Ambassador
What is your proudest moment as a PrestaShop Ambassador?
I’m sure that the best moment was when PrestaShop became the main partner of Ecommerce HUB. This year there will be the third edition and it’s amazing to see every time over 500 people joining the PrestaShop Community. What a unique emotion!
What do you like the most about being an Ambassador?
I like representing PrestaShop and to connect people creating value.
When I organize a meetup, I am always surprised to see a lot of people that participate to know more about PrestaShop. During the meetings, students, merchants and developers are together in the same room and I feel very proud, I feel like I’m part of something important.
A last word?
I <3 PrestaShop
Thank you very much!
