Give us a fun fact about your country:
MMA: A funny fact is that Tunisians are always complaining about bad Tunisian habits and behaviours.
MME: If you have never been to Tunisia, driving will be an interesting experience for you. Drivers oftern ignore all regulations, except when the police are clearly visible. Green and red light don’t make a difference for most drivers. ;)
What is your favorite PrestaShop store ?
MME: Picstore.tn, which has been elected as the best ecommerce website in Tunisia in 2017!
What opportunities does PrestaShop provide in your country?
MMA: PrestaShop has enabled many people to easily open online shops and start selling their products. I think it’s a technology that has made a great contribution to the progress of Tunisian e-commerce as well as the local economy.
MME: An estimated 80% of e-commerce sites in Tunisia are built with PrestaShop. So PrestaShop offers a good opportunity for the development of e-commerce in our country.
What is your feedback on the new major version, PrestaShop 1.7?
MMA: I think it’s a great choice that the PrestaShop Team has decided to move on the Symfony framework. In my opinion PrestaShop 1.7 is just a partial step towards a version which will be 100% based on Symfony. This version, maybe along others, will allow module developers and users to migrate their modules gradually. Another great aspect is the new UI which has been designed to enhance user experience.
MME: I really like the new checkout page, it's much more optimized and the Symfony framework integration makes life easier for developers.
About being an Ambassador
What is your proudest moment as a PrestaShop Ambassador?
